Confusing. It has this screen with circles and arrows and no info on what they mean. It looks like the plans in Wile E. Coyote's drafting table. The screen says it's coming in 8 hours at 10pm. We'll, 8 hours from now is 6pm. I am not going to scan the entire sky for 4 hours hoping to get lucky and find it. Maybe if you are a rocket scientist this app is useful. Brain surgeons don't stand a chance with this thing. Uninstalled!
Great tool to know exactly where and when the ISS is and be able to look and see as it passes over head....
Accurate and very detailed, but simple! This space station tracker is accurate to the minute! You can actually see a man made satellite as it crosses the sky.
Awesome app! Easy to use and pinpoint accuracy on finding the ISS.
One of the most accurate, if not THE most accurate out of all the ISS tracker apps. There's nothing I don't like about this app. The countdown until next visibility as well as the countdown until you lose visibility is spot on. The interactive star map is also a nice touch. The alerts are very helpful. The ads don't bother me. Great work!! Highly recommended downloading this!
A great app for finding not only the ISS, but other satellites as well. I use it all the time for NOAA passes and visible ISS passes. The add-ons are well worth it as well. This is a great app and I would be absolutely lost without it. It's much better than hauling out my laptop every time I want to see a pass. The live video feature for the ISS is pretty cool as well. It's always fun to show others when it flies over visibly, as most people never think about it flying over all the time. Even better when I'm able to pull a NOAA image for them as well.
Absolutely great app!! Easy and fun to use. The app let me know exactly when the Space Station was overhead, and there it was easily observable at 9:22 PM, 250 miles up and supposedly moving at 17,000 miles/hr. We watched it for 3 minutes until it disappeared into the night side of the earth. Great shots from the ISS as well. My family loved it and all wanted the app. Thank you to the developers!
Excellent app. I use it often with the extension pack while walking at night. A few suggestions to the devs: the names of objects get cut short at the top (ex. Comet C..). If I open it and check details, names are not included so it's confusing. Also it would be helpful to filter out sightings during cloudy/rainy weather. Alarm goes off in the middle of the night but it's raining outside so there's no point in waking up. Overall, great effort, and I'm glad you got the neowise comet fixed.
I used to love this app. I bought all of the extension so I could see everything. Recently, notifications have stopped working and when I open it it is only showing the ISS. I need to refresh it to see all of the extensions I paid for. The extensions then work for maybe one more day, then they stop. It seems to have started after the most recent update. I have sent emails, but no response. Sure wish you would fix this issue.
one of the best satellite apps i've seen., UI is easy to use, doesn't require much background knowledge, whole process is automated, from downloading the latest orbital parameters, to locating your position and directing you where and when to look. it's easy to configure the app for the objects or satellites you're interested in. sightings are accurate to a few seconds. worth the price of the full version, but the ads on the free version aren't that intrusive.
This app is wonderful. As an amateur radio operator, I know that software in this hobby is usually really clunky - not this one. Tons of features, filters, info about satellites, even frequencies and doppler shift calculations for amateur radio sats! I love the moments when there's something passing overhead, I get a notification, pull my friends to some darker place and show them the ISS or starlink, they are always amazed. I miss Iridium tho. For the people complaining about ads - just buy it! It's really cheap, IMO it should have a higher price and a yearly/quarterly subscription for that passive income.
I love the app and paid for the ad free version. It is amazing being able to see the ISS and planets with amazing accuracy. The reason that I have given such a low score is it keeps coming up all the time including disrupting other apps asking if I want to see ads or pay for the ad free version. I paid for the full version of the app to avoid this
Fabulous app. But this free version is super unstable. Tried on two devices and get regular lockups on both. Absolutey gutted as it does all I could ever want as a radio ham moving onto satellites. Love the demo that can be unlocked by watching a video to check out all features. Never the less I bought the app, uninstalled the demo and installed the much larger full version. I am happy to say the full version is super stable.
A worthwhile app to have on your device. However, I came to rate this app because of an annoyance. Every time I go to record the sunset from the ISS, about 2 minutes into fullscreen mode, inevitably a banner pops up at the moment that the sun is just about to set asking me to review Rate this app. Well, that is a real crappy time to ask for a Rating. And the banner doesn't time out and there's no option to turn off the asking of a rating. There's one more thing. It doesn't always show a feed from the ISS. Sometimes it cuts to Nasa Channel, but it will give messages that the sun is about to set or rise in the ISS. Users should be able to pick between watching the ISS feed or Nasa Channel. All that being said, I do enjoy the app.
'Ad break'... well, that's new. /..uninstalled..\ Reply to dev: this was the newest version on the play store, I had *just* updated it, and I've never seen a 'lets interrupt what you're doing to play an ad' popup prior to this. The previous 'here's an option to watch an add to unlock features' were palatable, locking the ui to feed me a full screen ad was not.
If I could give zero stars I would. This app I had on my phone a few years ago. It worked fine and the ads were few and far between. I changed my phone and now have installed my favourite ISS app. Now everytime you go into a page you get an ad. You can't close the app without first watching ad after ad after ad. Then you get directed to pay for a version. Why should I pay to find out where the ISS is? GET RID OF ALL THE ADS AND IT'LL BE MORE ENJOYABLE TO USE. I've uninstalled from my phone.
Really good, easy to use app. You can set notfications so that it alerts you when there will be a transit. The app also gives you useful information like angle of elevation and a compass with sky landmarks such as moon, jupiter and constellations to help you orient yourself and find out where the ISS is. I saw my first transit and it was sensational. Highly recommend to get out of bed just for 5 minutes to see a transit if possible
This app is great and it works (kinda). I've tested it out and it seems that either the compass in the app isn't working too well or the app is saying that the ISS is further ahead in its path than it really is. Regardless of that, I can catch a view of one of mankind's greatest feats almost every night. Lovely.
What is the observer point on the map? When I open the ISS map, there is a big red point on the equator labeled "observer" with no other explanation. When I go into the settings, the app has no problem picking up my actual position (which is not on the equator). Also, I checked that the bell icon is not crossed out, but I still don't get notifications from this app. I bought the full pack of extensions to see other objects, but they don't appear in the list : only the ISS is listed
