As many others have already written in their reviews, I am very disappointed in the application. For months, the sync feature has been broken on Android, and there have been no updates to try to fix it. I have been using this app for over 9 YEARS (high school, college, and now graduate school), and it was basically what kept my entire academic life organized. Being able to add all assignments on a computer and then get notifications of each upcoming assignment on a phone was invaluable! I cannot adequately describe how useful this app was, but now that the sync is broken, the app has basically lost half of its functionality. I can only hope that the sync function is fixed soon before I end up having to find a replacement.
Awesome app! I love the fact that it combines your timetable, agenda, and grade calculator all in one app. This way, you don't have to install and purchase multiple apps for the same thing. Good interface and intuitive design. However, I think that the developers should fix the syncing across the devices because I find that I have to manually sync the app for the changes I made in a different device.
I paid for the 2-year subscription under the impression that it would sync with my phone as it claims, but no. It only half-synced one time right after I installed it. That was it. I like the app on my computer but it's only worth 5 stars IF the Android-to-Windows sync issue is permanently fixed. And for the 2-year subscription price I paid, you'd think this would've already been dealt with. As is, it's worth 2 ½ stars. That's disappointing. UPDATE: 26 Aug 2021 - 4 months later, the sync still does not work. There's not even a partial sync now. The pop up tells me to check MY internet connection. My internet connection is perfectly fine. I've got 5 devices on the connection at one time, constantly and they all work perfect. This app would be awesome IF the developers would fix it. THIS APP HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED SINCE 2018!!!!!! I'm now furious. I would like a refund of the money for the months I have not used, starting with September 2021. Rating goes down to zero stars, but since I can't show zero, one star will have to do.
Edit (2): I have been using the myHomework since leaving iStudiez and it works pretty well. Takes some getting used to, but thought I'd let everyone know of a good substitute. Edit: Pretty disappointed it's taking so long to fix the issue. 😢 It's been my go-to planner app in the past, but I really need to have a working planner again. I am now looking for a new app. Original: I really like this app and the syncing function with my PC. Like others have said, the cloud sync is no longer working on the Android app. This has been particularly difficult since I am in the middle of a semester. I hope it gets fixed soon. Would recommend otherwise.
This is a powerful app that I've been using to keep on top of my life in college, and it's been fantastic. By far my favorite feature is the ability to sync with your phone's calendar(s) and view them right along with your timetable. I also love the ability to schedule one-off classes/cancellations, the different ways to view my homework list, and the widget (which some apps don't have!). My only complaint is that the widget crashes on my phone a lot.
I love this app and have used it for two years and plan on using it for the years to come. There are just a few things that would make it even nicer to use. 1. The ability to check multiple tasks to either copy or delete them. This was available on the iOS version but not Android for some reason 2. The ability to add subtasks to assignments 3. The ability to set assignments on weekly repeat
I started using this app to replace a similar app that shut down, and was interested in replicating the multi-platform feature of it. When setting it up I was promoted to pay $3 extra for the ability to use sync, which I quickly did. However no where was I told that I would have to pay again on my computer to sync what I had just paid to sync. This app needs to be much more clear when I'm on mobile and attempting to purchase sync, instead of trying to double dip and make users pay twice.
This app is fantastic. It is so clean, and has a spot for everything. I love it, I am not sure I have seen an academic- based digital calendar like this yet... better than Google calendar. I still use my Google calendar to add recreational events, travel plans, doctor visits, etc, but if I choose to I can integrate my Google calendar events into this calendar. The overview page on this app is great.
I love the app and have used it for all of undergrad and now grad school. However, it isn't optimal for big projects or essays. It would be great to have progress bars or assignments with sub-tasks. Otherwise, you just have a task called "write thesis" or have to separate out into smaller tasks which looks messy. The app would also benefit from a place to attach pdfs/readings in the assignment.
I'm sad to have to write this review. This app used to be very useful. I have been using it to successfully coordinate my university lectures and assignments for years. This semester, I have been let down, hard. For almost 2 months now, Sync between devices no longer works for Android, and there has been no updates, neither in software nor on progress made on the issue, no proper apology or admission of fault. Please guys, fix the issue. Don't force me to look elsewhere for a good calendar.
Hey guys, great app, but I think it lacks one option: when events happen regularly over a course of e.g. 10 weeks, but it is cancelled in week 8, I would like to except this one date. As it is now, I have to create 2 different events, one before the canceled date and one after it, which is kind of complicated I hope you understand my point and could add this function
How disappointed I am with you! I have been using this app since I started college, it has been the best planner of all time (beats Notion to some extent). But how disappointing it is that yall still haven't fixed the sync issue? I'm in my last semester of College. It thought it would be fixed by now, but nooo! It doesn't give me much choice than to find another planner. I had faith in yall.
The app is really helpful for me to keep organized in my courses and fill in grades for my assignments. I do wish that there was an option for creating repeating assignments. However, I paid for the full version but I can't sync at all and that's all that I paid for.
Been using this app (and desktop version) for many year. It's truly a wonderful app. However the Cloud Sync functionality on android has broken recently and google calendar integration on the PC version is not working due not been a "verified app". Otherwise, this app is a 5/5 in terms of functionality and value. I will gladly update my review once the apps return to their intended level of functionality.
I used it for my sophomore year without issues, then during my junior year, the app stopped working on all my andoid platforms. I can't sync any of my app data across my PC and my mobile devices. This was a critical feature of the app which I paid for, and now I can't use it at all. I suspect the reason for this is probably because it was last updated in 2018.
My life has fallen apart since Sync stopped working! This app with it's google calendar integration is THE BEST homework planner WHEN IT WORKS properly. I pay for the sync because it made my freshman year at an ivy league college so much easier and organized. I rely on this app so much that since Sync stopped working, my life has fallen so much. Please fix it ASAP I don't want to use any other homework planner app but the longer it takes, the more you make me settle for inferior planners
Hopefully the cross-platform sync will be fixed soon. Love the app, I've been using it since 2014 on iOS and Mac and came back to it again to help me with simple but effective planning for which app is the best on the market. With the premium subscription and not really getting the "premium" cloud service is making me upset. Please fix so we can be happy and organized again! :)
This app was amazingly perfect and I have it on all of my devices but for the last few weeks the cloud sync hasn't been working and it's caused all of my devices to be out of sync. Really needs a fix ASAP. Almost a month later and the sync function still isn't working 😔
I love this app. A friend told me about it, I'm so glad she did. I especially love that there is a widget for me to see assignments on my home screen. I would love to be able to put all day event (e.g.. spirit day, birthday) without making them classes or having to sync another calender to the app. this feature would definitely make it a 5 star app.
This app was ok for a school organizer. I didn't absolutely love it all the time but it was reliable. But then I got a new phone and it doesn't let me sync my information at all. It keeps asking me to pay for the app again. That's ridiculous. I try to choose the option to update from my already purchased app and it makes you wait 5 days for absolutely nothing. It's like this app was completely abandoned. Great 😑
Good experience with the app. I think it could benefit from having a section for your course readings. Also it would be nice to have access, and editing ability to your calendar online since you have to create an account anyway. Otherwise it's a great app.
I have tried a lot of these school planner apps, and none of them can compare to iStudiez. The user interface is so great and very simple, and now I can have every assignment on my phone 😁 Its what ive been looking for for a while!
It would be great if you could add attachment feature for assignment and a feature wheter you want to get rid the notification or stick it on the notif bar instead, because the problem that i had with google calendar is if you clear your notif log accidentally, your reminder would be gone, thats the only thing that's missing from you to be the greatest planner app ever
The app features and functionalities are great! However, the app sync feature is no longer available due to a development issue with the certificate. Additionally, the app keeps crashing when I try to save or share my data in the Data Management feature within the app. When I contacted the support team via the report a bug feature within the app I was advised that the feature works with other devices (iOS and Windows) and there are no projections for a suitable fix for Android users.
