This does what I need it to. I used it on a Galaxy S7 and most recently on a Pixel 3. The playlists don't sync in the same order, and sometimes songs have the wrong cover art, but neither of those things are critical. I'm able to get my music from my Mac onto my Android phones quickly and easily. For a free app, this is great.
Absolute garbage now. It used to work flawlessly, then stopped working about a month ago, and withe the new 1.0 upgrade, the app no longer recognizes any playlist in iTunes, so the playlist box is completely empty. No support whatsoever. No responses, no help, no forums. I had to go back to iSyncr via USB cable, and that's saying something.
Marginal at Best. The app is easy to set up and install. Was very easy to download songs. I downloaded a playlist with 999 songs. Unfortunately only 736 songs were actually downloaded. No error messages indicating why the other songs were not downloaded. If a song does not download would be nice to know. Am I supposed to go through 999 songs manually to figure out which didn't download? This kinda makes the app useless to me.
Pretty awesome! Every selected playlist got transferred perfectly from my Mac to Android phone. The player companion app is less than perfect. Some albums in the list get duplicated (one where the play order is correct and the other is botched). Sometimes individual songs get listed as albums and not contained within an album container. The artist list does something similar, where songs for an album will get listed as individual albums (when an album is marked as a "compilation." And for some reason, some phone ringtones got placed in an artist category called "Unknown artist."
I love this! I was looking for an app that moves my entire iTunes library with the album art and lyrics (?) Maybe I have to buy it but I wouldn't mind since this music app is a beast!! No stupid song limits from iSyncr or misplace song names or no art from doubletwist. Thank You! I hope you keep it this way moving forward with no BS like the other two.
This app is awesome. It is easy to use and I can now transfer any of my iTunes music, podcasts, movies, audiobooks, iTunesU content, literally anything, to my android. I was frustrated at the idea that I had so much audio and video content on my Mac, but couldn't take it with me on the go on my phone. Now I can do that. I am so excited, and so happy this app exists. Thank you!
This app used to work fantastically, but ever since the new android update, it will not sync music. I've deleted/reinstalled the app on both my android device as well as Windows PC, the desktop app states that the music has sync'd, but it does not show up - and I have downloaded/tried three different media players - please fix this
I think the new version is Synctunes Ultimate...both loaded on android and have worked well enough compared to no alternatives. Does take a bit long to sync 3000 titles, but has sped up on S20 using USB C versus 2. To turn off, make sure to select Exit in the menu. I've not had any problems with battery drain. Still amazed that crApple doesn't have iTunes across platforms.
I used this app to sync iTunes from Mac for years. I had to buy a new Mac with a 10.15.2 OS Catalina and I can connect the desk top Synctunes to my Android perfect BUT my playlist don't show up on the desk top for me to pick the playlist to have it transferred to my Android phone. I'm very disappointed. I even emailed the help email that is on the contact list on the desktop well over 5. + Times and zero response. Again very disappointed.
Horrible! I wasted 2 full days (12 hours 1 day and 6 hours the next) trying to get my itunes library to transfer. It kept shutting down on me. When I finally did get themusic trsnsferred I was missng several hundred songs/numerous albums. And to top it sll off, It wouldnt play the music. Its junk.
This was awesome! I have struggled to get my music off of iTunes and this was relatively straightforward and done in 30 minutes. I had to rush over and give you guys a 5 star review! I have a Pixel 2 for reference. Cheers!
This thing *sounded* like a good idea, but it's full of really sketchy $h it. It creates a directory you cant get to...and if you uninstall it, it leaves a ton of junk behind it. The permissions are dodgy, and it harvests a bunch of stuff from your phone you DONT want to share with strangers. Deleted it 24 hours after I installed it.
Would rate it higher, but it is so very, very, very slow. Should be enabled to work over USB, but only works over wireless connection.
Awesome for Syncing iTunes mp4 audiobooks from iTunes to my Samsung S9 SD card, along with all the metadata. I use Smart Audiobook Player from there to sort, play, and organize. Perfect combo.
App claims to transfer music to my SD card but no music player will recognize it. Reformatted several times and used different players but nothing works.
I switched from apple to Android but have a lot of iTune content. this app got it to my new phone complete with album art and so far is working well. Thank you 🙂
I'm no tech geek and wasn't sure if the app would work on my Huawei Pro 20 Mate but it has and its excellent. So easy to use/ and making playlists is a doddle. Thanks for a great app.
Connecting was not clear to an older less than computer savvy man like me. But once I figured it our the app works great.
in the last few weeks, this app has stopped working. keeps crashing on my phone..shortly after an update.
love this app. Only wish there were alpha listing on the side to quickly move to an artist or looking for a title. Very easy to use tho! Thanks
Easy to use and downloaded 1,600 songs quickly, aprox 1/second! A free, useful, awesome app!
Great to have my tunes on Android. I just wish there was a way to turn it off without having to power off the phone.
Very disappointing. Won't work with Android 12. Waste of time
No play list options available when trying to sync. FAQ not able to solve problem.
Works well for transfer mp3 files from itunes to my android.
LOL I don't know what anybody is complaining about on here maybe you forgot to download the simple music player with it on your phone?
App worked perfectly first try. Brilliant!
I originally downloaded Doubletwist to transfer music from iTunes to my Galaxy S20+. It worked great for a while and then it just became unreliable. The air sync feature wouldn't connect to my phone and when I connected via the USB cord, nothing would sync. I love the interface and design of the Doubletwist app so I was very disappointed. After researching, I decided to give this app try and it makes the syncing process so much easier. It works as advertised!
