While it's definitely not a bad app, I personally just don't dig it. I much preferred the web version, but since they removed the whole notebook function from the website, I had no choice but to switch to the app, and I really hate doing any serious language learning on my phone. I feel like the layout could seriously be improved upon, too, for right now it feels cluttered and is a bit of a pain to navigate. However, I really trust the corrections I get here, so I'm not leaving anytime soon.

I have no words to express how much I love this App, In my personal experience it was the best App I found to learn a target language, it's very interactive and functional, it really increase your vocabulary and helps you to improve your language. I definitely recommend it. I'm not fluent but definitely it would helped me to get more confident to speak or write in my target league. I hope all of you enjoy this App as much as I do, good luck to everyone in the process of learn other language!:)

My experience with teachers has been very good- I can't fault that. The actual app needs improving quite a lot, it's not very intuitive, and paying for/ booking new lessons is quite a fiddle. When having lessons the connection is much worse than transferring onto a different platform, which is something we have to do most of the time. I'd also prefer the app to be a bit less US centric and show the currency that I use, not dollars, and use dates the right way round, eg not 2/18 for 18th Feb.

In general I really like this app. However it has one issue which causes a problem. I live in Phoenix, Arizona, which, with 5m people is not small. In the winter Phoenix is on US Mountain Time and in the summer it's on US Pacific. ITalki adjusts by time zone but not by city, as it should, and that means it's off by an hour in the summer for many places in the US including Phoenix, the 10th largest US city.

Good experience but please fix the bugs. It closes sometimes without any reason and also the messages in the chat duplicate sometimes.

It's good overall. One problem is you can't sort My Teachers by language (like on the website). The tutors are a mixed bag. Some really don't know what they're doing. I wish I could hide teachers I didn't like, don't work for me, or am not interested in from the search results. That would save me time looking for new teachers. Some don't use my preferred communication tool and it's a waste of time trying to find that out every time (you find out after attempting to book a lesson).

The prices shown r still mussleading !! Does not give the right hourlly price rate or the lessons with the low price never available (maybe the low price only if u buy a bundle), or it's Just Show the Trial lesson!!,. Could be better and more transparent.

I Can't Sign Up, I've Tried For Two Days Now. Every Time I Try Putting In My Email, Phone Number, Or Connecting With My Google Account It Says "Oops, an unknown error occurred" Or It Just Doesn't Do Anything At All. And I Have Checked For A Verification Code And There's Nothing.

In my experience the platform is great and easy to use. As long as you choose a good teacher, everything goes well.

I love the app, the selection of instructors and the flexibility to set your own needs.

I have been teaching on the platform for two years. From a technical stand point the app and website function slowly. I would also tell everyone to be careful with any issues they report. I mistakenly hit the wrong issue (teacher didn't attend) and despite both parties agreeing it was the student who didn't attend, italki still is unwilling to fix the matter. If you take a percentage of money you should invest in better software and functionality.

They won't allow to pay for more classes. I reckon I paid for 10 classes this month or something like that. I want ro pay for more and they don't allow me. I tried to contact them nobody answered. I contacted my banks and all my cc are ok but they just don't accept them. Each time I try to book a class, the message "your payment request failed. Please resubmit or try a different payment method" appears.

Love italki but the mobile app won't allow me to upload photos in the private messages or community. It gives me an error every time regardless of photo size. This is very frustrating because I take photos of my homework answers to send to my tutor and because of this new error I have to email photos to my computer to upload them from there! Please fix!

Used to be amazing for finding language partners. Now that feature seems to be almost entirely removed.

Don't use this app. They trick you showing a specific amount and then debit another higher amount They don't give refunds even when the teacher cancels on you. Disgusting Shame!!!!

I'm a teacher and a student in this app. And I see it's perfect specially for students. I like their policy which guarantees the rights of both student and teacher.

I rather like the service and have been using it for quite a number of years now, but just like some other reviewers have stated, can no longer send images via the app. If I take the same image and attempt to send it on my computer however, it goes through without any issues. This has been going on for the past few months. Please look into this.

I'm sure it's a great app but I can't sign up; you need a text/email security code sent to you and it won't send the code to either for me

I found a teacher I loved, made sure she had lots of availability for lessons and purchased a package. She messages me that she cannot accept as she's too busy. No, problem... I'll ask for a refund. Except italki won't give me one. Now I'm out almost $200. Not sure why teachers are allowed to advertise packages that they can't accept or why I can't just have my money back.

OMG is this a language app that doesn't ask you such unnecessary questions like what is your gender when you sign up? heck yeah it is!!! just that fact already makes me happy, but also the way they put everything you need to learn a language in this app? I think this is one of the bast language learning apps I've ever seen and I mean it!!

Just about the last update of this app. After the last update, I constantly see "ooups, an unknown error occured". I have never had this before. Not convenient at all.

I downloaded this app for the option of instant classes. Once you book, the lesson begins in 5 minutes. However if the teacher doesn't turn up, you are locked into that class and you cannot look for another teacher. Furthermore, you are not refunded for that class and have to schedule a lesson with the teacher who didn't turn up to the instant class

I can no longer send photos. This is not problems with my phone. This is the app. I have been using the same phone so nothing on my end has changed. But it seems like I'm not the only one having this issue. It's the app

There is a problem in loading the main page of the app; It shows this message after a while: "Read timed out"

I wish i could give it 5 stars because i really like the app. However, there is something really weird with messages. i send like 10 messages. none of them seem to be sent. i open the app again and i see 5 of them got sent may be. i try to send another message and it doesn't get send. This is really confusing and frustrating when you are having a conversation with someone. i wish u could fix this as soon as possible.

I like the app overall and there's a lot of options when it comes to teachers and languages. However, I'm facing issue with sending audio messages to my teacher and I have already addressed it to the customer care but it's still not working. I tried to reinstall the app, as well as using different WiFi networks and data. My request number was 481698.

The italki classroom is so unstable. A lot of the times, there's only a black screen during classes and we can't see each other so lessons need to get rescheduled or moved to another platform. It's really inconvenient and a waste of time. Also, whenever one of us is having connection issues, there's an alert below saying that the connection isn't good and it won't stop blinking. It's really distracting and annoying. I think a simple "poor connection" in one corner would suffice.

Overall good app. It Needs some improvements though. For instance in the message section you can not review word files sent from your teacher in the app. You have to sign in to desktop website. Which is not very convenient. They need to add this urgently because some people are on the move all the time and they can only see these files when they get to their computers which is not possible during day time for certain people.

I took 2 trial classes and I really enjoy those classes. It has great video call in app, good chat feature, and I can sync my class schedule to my calendar. This app is easy to use. I have an issue when I start my class using italki classroom, it has a watermark in the middle of video said I have to turn off any video service and I cannot remove it until I leave then re-enter the classroom.
