Well so far I've only been able to update the firmware once and that was the day I got it. When trying to update and it says ones available only thing the screen does is the emblem keeps spinning for hours. I let it go once to see how long it takes but the next day still spinning and yes that's with a high speed WiFi being connected. So this is my experience other than frustrating upgrades that never seem to download it's ok for me. Thanks have a nice day.
This looks like a pretty handy smart watch and app combo so far. My needs were receiving alerts/notifications, good battery life on the device, and having a step counter. The Duo delivers on all three. I do wish the app had the ability to pass on notifications to the watch from a few more sources; Slack and Discord in particular. Just telling me that I have a message or a mention on both would be all I'm looking for there. Also, I'd really like to know if the app communicates with Google Fit.
+Absolutely love the watch. +Very nice looking watch. +Love the 2-Way Mirror affect. Giving you the basic look of an analog watch, but hiding the digital display until you want to see it. +User friendly and easy setting up the watch and app. Then linking the two together. +Find my phone /watch feature. -Rarely can get the app to tell the battery level. -Have to set goal weight a pound over, because it always reads a pound lighter. -Only get previews of notifications -Can't preview runs
Update: After contacting Itech duo's customer service, they reviewed this issue and fixed it. They were extremely professional and quick to help with the problem. I've gotten another watch and was able to downloaded the app again with no issues. Old: Security software on my phone flagged it as aggressive Adware. Immediately removed the app and will be returning the watch.
I need a traditional analog watch for work, and we've got a strict no cell phones floor policy. The Duo lets me turn off motion activation so that the digital doesn't display every time I jostle my wrist. But if my kids' school or sitters call or message me, it gently vibrates and previews who and/or what they said. If the rechargeable battery dies, the analog watch is not affected. My only real complaint is that Messenger is my default messaging app, but it is not supported. Only text.
My watch and phone are synced but will not update my progress. I have uninstalled the app, I have changed and checked settings, I have restarted my phone and still can't get it to work. It worked for the first 2 days and that's it. I love what it can do, but there is definitely something wrong with the app!
The app is good in appearance however the speed in which it interacts with the watch is poor. I had to wait about 2 hours before it would show me my sleep cycle information. Just now I've had the app running for approximately 15 minutes and it is yet to show me how much battery power the watch has. With improvements it could easily be 5 out of 5 stars. As to the watch of the analog portion loses about 5 minutes per day but the digital is good I need the analog to be accurate.
Just bought the watch today. It does not count my steps at all. I've synced it. Unsynced it and repaired it, made sure it was updated and nothing. I've run around the house trying to get it to read my steps. I've allowed all app permissions possible and have tried loosening and tightening the watch. I am so disappointed.
I can't get the app to sync with the watch! It says its connected, but that the data is updating and to please wait a moment, but ten minutes later it's still not working! I have turned off and reset and disconnected and reconnected and reset...but NOTHING! Very frustrating.
Lots of tweaking to do with the software. Needs more options, including being able to choose the swipe menus on the watch, making more apps compatible, actually make the outer ring move. The plus and minus gor the cups of water should not take a whole screen, and should have a widget. Make the ticker tape text speed optional, and include messenger. Also all Google apps and others...
Could be better. Not that many features in the app. I noticed this app hasn't been updated in a while...Nov 2019 as of my review that's about 8 months ago. Hoping there are future updates for additional features. Please add Google fit integration. I love the way my watch looks, has decent battery life and seems to stay connected to my phone so far.
Doesn't measure sleep and I have done all the resets and I've uninstalled and re-installed. It never changes. That was my main reason for buying the watch so I'm not really impressed with this. Seems kinda pointless. The user manual didn't help at all either. I wouldn't buy again.
I love the watches however I wish itech had one app for all style watches as well as an account login to keep information across devices. I got a new phone and everything restarted. I have a I tech sport but have to use a different app.
Though I've texted before about problem before the problem isn't fixed. I have bought another model of your watches and don't have the problem about the face watch not staying with current time. But my I tech clock face does not stay to the current time. Have to wait reset several times by hand till it decides to catch up to current time. Yes though i have a newer model like to keep my Duel because when my other watch need charged my Duel is my back up watch. As you can tell not so upset that
Im still experiencing the same problems as before.. I had to turn it completely off for hours to get the right time,, don't know if it will buzz because I haven't received a call yet. Everytime I charge my watch it never buzz when my phone ring and I reset it the time is never correct it goes to 10:0clock , and it may be 4 in the afternoon, I need my watch to buzz for work purposes. Please help.
iTech duo watch fails at most basic function, keeping time. Not sure how digital watch cannot regularly update. 5 min behind today. Had to open app before it would resync. Analog portion also fell behind 5 min in 2 months. Very sad. Watch does poor job distinguishing between a run and a walk, and does not recognize biking.
You'r app and watch are top notch, I'm happy with my purchase, the only complaint I have is when I try and update the firmware it doesn't work. It says "failure to update" and I'm not exactly sure why. I've tried looking online and everything and couldn't figure it out. If I could update the firmware I'd give you 5 🌟's! UPDATE: one of your techs emailed me and we got it figured out guy's! Thanks for the timely response and all the help you guys ROCK!
Return your watch. I've had multiple phones and consistent compatibility seems to be an issue. one moment it works the next it can't find the watch ever. Itech wearables will pick it up but it's not designed for the duo so there are no working features. Just spend the money on name brands. Pebble. LG. iPhone.
Great idea. Perfect for my 12 year old. But it will not keep a charge more than 12 hrs. What good is a watch that has to be charging half the time? I leave it plugged in the CPU waiting for it to charge. It never makes it to 100%. Sometimes for no reason, it seems to quit charging, and I pull it out of the charger completely run down again. Very disappointing.
Needs a widget. Thanks for listening. Having a widget on your phone's main screen will help since the duo has limited information. Battery life, steps, things like that. Like the notification alert on the watch for calls texts. App overall is very good.
The app works nicely, for the most part. I was especially impressed with how fast and painless the OTA firmware update worked for my watch. At one point, it stopped syncing battery percentage, and defaulted to showing 0% until I restarted the phone. Otherwise it's been smooth. I assume this is meant to be discontinued and rolled into the "iTech Wearables"-app. If not, the main thing it's missing, IMO, is that it doesn't interact with the Google Fit API. Having that would really increase value.
