Tried a few different apps, and this one is the best by far from my experience. App is intuitive, and feels complete. It feels like the creator thought about every aspect needed to learn Japanese, that's why you'll get access to well constructed lessons, cards for every symbol of the alphabets, as well as "interactive" quizzes. Considering that all of those are available in the free version, I can hardly think of any flaws, try this if you're interested in Japanese language.
It has been my favorite application that I have tried to learn Japanese. For multiple reasons: loooot of content, drawing tool (even sometimes it is a bit strict lol), reminders to build long term memory..etc If I could have a very little suggestion to say, is that because there are so many options, that sometimes is not easy to know how to set up, not straightforward. But in one word, I warmly advise it. The developer does a great job. Thank you for your efforts.
I've been using this apps and it is sincerely a super good one ! Japanese is difficult at first sight, at least for me. But it feels so good to be able to see progress from the first lessons, it is really helpful and motivating, especially if you learn by yourself. Congratulations for this apps again, i highly recommended, it is whorth investing on it!
There is a lot of updates so it's great because bugs are corrected and new functionality like quizzes are added. The only shadowing point is the fact that there is not a lot of audio compréhensions even in the paid version. I know we can pay to have more though.
Simply the best. Tons and tons of materials including words, phrases, sentences, audios and videos. Easy nevigation and easy to follow explainations. Very small price to pay for a wealth of information. Highly recommended.
Not sure why this gets taken down each time. I find it kind of rude at this point to be honest. I like the app but the fact my review keeps being taken down is really starting to annoy me. It's a great app for learning Japanese but some of the features you have to figure out by yourself since there's no real tutorial for them. I think the only thing that could improve it is a section with stories or news in Japanese so you can practice reading.
This app honestly has all of the features that you would want, for the most modest price. Dont be fooled by the older looking presentation. Its the best app out there. I use it in combination with Pimsleur
I've been using this app to study on and off for years and really enjoy it, however, premium access keeps getting reset which can become a hassle to resolve over and over.

I've been testing out JA Sensei for a little bit and it's proving to be very useful. I studied japanese for a long time, and then stopped studying so I lost a lot of my ability. I'm using this app to help get my skills back.
This is the absolute best all round learning app. I cannot speak highly enough of it. Having learnt the scripts and various phrases i had struggled to take the next step (piecing grammar rules together, verb forms and tenses etc) this app makes it so much easier and it's explained in a much easier to digest way than I've found anywhere. The kanji learning tools are fantastic as well. 10/10.
It's a helpful app for learning Japanese Language materials. The explanation is comprehensive, and the materials are a lot, especially if you subscribe for the premium version

JA Sensei is the best app to learn Japanese especially for a beginner . The app feels like you are in school but it's online. I really appreciate for this app cause in the future I want to travel to Japan some and experience the culture!!
Excellent for beginners like myself. Very comprehensive and a perfect supplement to my text book. Would definitely recommend.
Cool app with lots of useful features, the best I've tried. Has a possibility of creating personal lists of kandzi and vocabulary.
It teaches very well, however the ui (especially the premium related) can be improved, for the general ui it constantly feels like i am missing something and perhaps a little badge to show that the user has gotten premium (i have purchased premium but the little flair to buy premium is still lingering in my account, causing me to fear that something was amiss.
I love how organized the topics and lessons are. Though there are some answers that I found incorrect or inappropriate in the past, I still find the quizzes after the lessons as a helpful tool to test your knowledge. I also like the aural comprehension and the tests for the numbers.
This app...is too helpful to put into words. Being able to practice such an easily accessible list of kanji has helped my Japanese progress so much. I am forever thankful for this app and it's creator <3

This is app is—if not complete, then almost complete for learning Japanese. A lot of materials are provided and it is up to learner how to maximize its uses.
Would recommend this app to any beginner or advance learner. There are short and punctuate explanations, and it covered all the basics. Thak you for this useful app.

Just for clarity: the app asked me to rate it, but the opinion is genuine. Frankly, visually the app doesn't look the best. However, the content makes up for all of that and more. Clearly this app was made with much love by someone who cares much more about content than visuals and I completely agree! Absolutely recommend this app!
Thank you, this is a great app. I just have one problem. In Vocabulary test, before I choose the correct answer, the app will read/sound the kana for that Kanji. Thus making the test not useful. Because you want to practice the Kana but the app has already given you the Kana(in sound) before you can even choose. I suggest to put the kana sound "after the user choose/decide his answer.
The kanji and kana section are very nice for deliberate practice. Drawing them instead of just looking at some flashcard really helps memorizing. The other sections are nice refreshers for on the go. I haven't found a section on transitive/intransitive verbs yet though, that could eventually be an interesting addition. In any case, thank you very much for your sustained work on this app. I have used it on and off these past years, and it continually improved. Best wishes, A long time user.
