Lots of times the app doesn't want to work. It's weird to navigate. Before I was able to combine deals. Like if I had points for something free, I can't use a coupon in the same purchase. Also adding and removing condiment is awful. At times the app refuses to work. The only thing that saves this is that it asked which JITB location because I use the one by my house and the one by my job.
Update* I downgraded my rating. The deals have gotten worse Overall its average. The deals are mediocre but every now and then there's a really good one. It's buggy and slow. I checked in pulling into the parking lot, car in front of me in the drive through and I get to the speaker & my order wasn't there. Went inside to complain and they had just received my order. It's always a really bad experience to get to the front of the line & your order is not there but it looks like you've been charged
I hate how all of these fast food places try to push their apps by making certain deals and items only available on the app. I only use the Jack in the Box app for the deals and every time I try to use it it is ungodly slow and things don't want to load at all. It's not my connection because no other app does this and I'm even using it on my home high speed wifi.
I noticed my card got charged twice but only received one confirmation email. I tried to call the store to find out if they did receive two orders so I could cancel one and found out my order wasnt sent to my closest store like I wanted even though they do offer delivery as well. I had to put in a request for refund through their website since I have no idea if I'll be refunded as I didnt receive a second delivery. Overall I'd say use the app in person at the store to avoid confusion.
I have not had any problems with this app. Ordering is easy and the free stuff is nice. I really like the new feature in the app like "The Jack Pack". I just wish I could use the app in the restaurant, like a couple of other chains I won't mention. Sometimes I want to pay with cash instead of just my card. There should be a way to rate the restaurant in the app. Otherwise the app is great. Keep up the good work. Thank you. Apps been acting up lately, not showing the menu.
Absolutely awful. I've had enough. The restaurant gets a "ghost" order and eventually has to be canceled by the delivery driver. I get an "oops error occurred" which temporarily holds money from my account for several days. Or in the most recent case, the delivery driver took off with my food! They were "unable to deliver" the order, when they didn't even get to the building. Jack in the box should've never tried to do its own delivery. Seriously makes me hate this franchise with these problems.
All of a sudden every time I try and checkout I get an "Oops! An error has occurred" message. I've tried multiple cards, different devices, different accounts, and different restaurants. Used to work fine and now it doesn't. An actual descriptive error would help more than a condescending "let's cross our fingers and try again".
The edit feature for adding/removing condiments is the ABSOLUTE WORST. Having to swipe left/right is so difficult because it doesn't register the swipes 85% of the time and you have to keep swiping until it does register and then you end up over swiping only to have to repeat until you finally get it right. It can make ordering through the app take 3 times as long as it should. Please fix.
No way to cancel a placed order... Even if the local store decides to close early unannounced due to understaffing, or is missing items for your order. Had to dispute the transaction through my bank for refund. Also noticed a price discrepancy between the app and my store. Other than that, great app. Never have any glitches or bugs with this one, which is rare.
Unable to sign in to app to get points! The 'Sign in' is behind the 'Terms of Service' so you can't sign in. This isn't the first time something like this has happened. A previous version had a large picture of Jack that popped up over the sign in. Who ever is writing the apps for Jack-in-the-box needs to make sure it doesn't have layout problems BEFORE they launch the app!
The app often does not save my alterations to food items, which I don't find out until I pick it up. I'm allergic to tomatoes, and have had to trash food because the app didn't keep my "no tomatoes/ketchup" selection. There needs to be more options for sauce additions and substitutes; I like mayo on my tacos.
If you order a shake and their machine is down, you HAVE to accept a substitution; they will NOT refund you for the items you do not receive. The app is also terrible to use. Please make your customization section easier to use. Adding the swipe controls isn't intuitive or cute. Just used the app again: doubled the price of my food at checkout. Not using the app ever again.
I have a problem each time changing locations for pickup. There are several locations that I use. Very few of your employees can help with the app. Very few seem to care if they help. They don't speak English & don't try to understand what I am asking them. Frustrating!!!
Probably the worst restaurant app ever. It's not even that the app is back but the website is so bad that if you have an issue with the app you couldn't possibly remedy it with that either. Don't waste the miniscule space this app asks for. It's some how more worthless than every government website I've ever used, that's very impressive. A++
Beware of overall business setup! Once you place an order via app - your card will be charged immidiately! Regardless the fact wether the order was fulfilled or not. Now, if the store hasn't received the order - they're not going to prepare it. Typically, if order is not completed, the pending card charge would just get canceled- NOT HERE! Now, to cancel this charge is totally new hussle - Jack does NOT have decent process in place and pushes back to the store to handle (good luck!)
Don't bother with this app. If your order is wrong you have to jump through hoops just to get it rectified. There no easy way to go into your order and be like, "hey this was missing, please fix I paid money for this and didn't get it". Food is expensive now adays and to have to go through some BS support system just to get a missing item/refund is unacceptable.
Scammed out of money. Placed an order and hit the button for them to prepare it. Arrived at the store and they said they couldn't do online orders, yet the app took my money. They wouldn't even make the order after showing them that I just placed it. Told me to call the # through the app because they could not do anything. Been 3 weeks and have not received a response from Jack corporate. Other apps won't let you order if their system is down. Jack took my money, had to start a dispute w bank
I had a really bad experience the last time I used this. I placed a mobile order and used some of my rewards points to place an order with a confirmation receipt. Jack In the box's store internet was down abandoned I couldn't even verify my mood to get a receipt. Worst part is, corporate hasn't called and I got charged points and food for an order I never was able to receive. Horrible customer service
I like to order from the app so that I can get my order right. Something was missing from the menu so I could not order it. Oh that item came back when it was time to check out, by offering to include something else. I was lucky to see what I liked. Maybe I would like something else but too bad it could be hidden.
Useless! Installed the app and created an account but can't use it because it requires you to click a confirmation link in the welcome email, which never arrives. I've checked spam, and tried requesting that the email be sent again. Still nothing.
--Why did u get rid of stuffed jalapeños? It still shows up in latest version. I ordered em & went to pick up, I was informed they're discontinued. They told me to contact customer service to get refund but that should b option w/in app. --best app to use, please continue to allow to use offers w/o limit. Yes it's 1 per order but unlike McD's, BK, Whataburger & others that limit us to 1 per hour, you can use all the offers just make different orders. It's a great incentive to keep us ordering
App is basically non functional. Lots of glitches. The first time I tried to use this app it didn't have size options for the Popcorn chicken. No way to adjust curly fries vs regular. On checkout the app doesn't accept any of my visa cards. Gave it another try next time I wanted Jack. Still wouldn't accept the cards. No coupons but tons of spam emails daily now. Absolutely the worst fast food app.
The function to customize your order is pretty poor. Easy to add, but the left swipe function to remove something hardly ever works. You have to go out and re-start your order multiple times.
After going through all the trouble of installing app, going through my email and having to login to verify it through that and then clicking on a special through my T-Mobile Tuesday app.. all it kept telling me through about a dozen clicks is that the order can be processed. After all that s***. I will never eat a Burger King again because of this. I will never use their app. I will never use Burger King again. This much frustration and this much stolen time can never be replaced or fixed.
App ordering is bad. I contacted jack n box thru contact us email app no reply, and its multiple times now for multiple different refunds just complete ignored by Jack n box. Basically once you place an order, jbox stores and app wont refund money, such as what happened to me multi times grill was in maintenance couldnt make food, out of item, double charges, wrong items and so. But decent experience, and needs more menu items new food and better rewards offers sit empty majority time.
I have spent multiple dollars on the app and haven't had any of my points added to the meter, I even bought a 10$ meal and checked the "how it works" button on the app and it says it takes up to 24 hours, this was last week, not counting the previous other purchases that haven't been added to my points
I also went for breakfast at 6:40am. I ordered on the mobile app and when I came to pick up my order there was nobody here. Completely closed and there's no option to cancel my order in the app, it only shows up in order history. Drove 10 minutes cause I was craving jack in the box for nothing. Bummer, at least I'll know better for next time.
You wanna know how to go from 5 stars to 1 star? Release a broken update. App was working flawlessly, but today I was forced to update. Now, I can't even pay for my order. "Dang it! An error occured while processing your request. Please try again." I tried several times and same stupid error. Now the app won't scan the receipt because the stores printer sucks. I should've just went across the street to BK.
just get the McDonald's app. it has MUCH better deals like free fries once a week or bogo shakes (jitb has NO OFFERS ANYMORE)! Do NOT order delivery thru this app! I was charged TWICE for orders that were CANCELLED on their end! Just use the coupons in the mail. You can't even use them in the app anyway. No promos in the app except for a very few family bundle deals. NOT worth my time and aggrivation anymore.
The four stars is because of app difficulty. By that I mean the level of difficulty that's involved in inputting the credit card number. Your app forces the user to type in the entire card number as opposed to being able to simply copy and paste it. It creates an unnecessary level of inconvenience. Other than that, the app is good!
