A Spiel des Jahres Recommended game, Jaipur is one of the most most well-loved 2-player tabletop games. Jaipur is a fast-paced card game for two players with a blend of tactics, risk and luck. You are one of the most powerful traders in Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan. You and your opponent duel to demonstrate to the Maharajah that you can earn a greater profit than your competition. At the end of a round, one player receives the Maharajah's seal of excellence, and the first player to earn two seals of excellence wins the privilege of being invited to the Maharajah’s court!

Each turn, you can choose to take one card, exchange your cards for other goods, buy the camels needed to transport your wares, or sell at the market. The sooner you sell and the more you sell of a single good at once, the higher your profit.

If you take cards, you have to choose between taking all the camels, taking 1 card from the market or swapping 2 to 5 cards between the market and your cards. If you sell cards, you get to sell only one type of good per turn, and you get as many chips from that good as you sold cards. The chips’ values decrease as the game progresses, but you get increasingly high rewards for selling sets of 3, 4, or 5 cards of the same good at a time, so it’s all about waiting just the right amount of time to make your trade.

You can’t sell camels, but they are integral to trading and they’re also worth a little something at the end of the round, sometimes enough to secure the win so use them smartly!

I'm really liking this game so far but it's really frustrating that the computer can make a move by exchanging cards when it's hand is full, but I can't???!! I've never played the physical game but i have to assume something is wrong here. fix it or the game is useless, what makes games fun is when there is a level playing field and you actually feel like you're actions are making the difference. when the other player has a massive advantage like that then it feels completely pointless.

Very nice game, but the pass-and-play controls, which make you hide your cards by tilting the device, don't quite improve this game. For one thing, it assumes that players are sitting across from one another (not relevant in car/plane scenario), and the tilting really takes the non-acting player out of the game. Since the quick turns really make this game flow, I'd like to request a feature where players can simply hold their hand to show them or even just play open-handed to play casually.

Fun and rather easy to learn card game with much more strategic depth than what it may seem at first. As a merchant, you have to buy, sell and exchange goods keeping always an eye on your opponent moves. Delightful graphics, nice ambience music, and challenging solo (vs AI) and campaign modes. Unfortunately if you are into playing against other people you won't find many these days. Nevertheless, the game by itself is more than worth it

Beautiful game, but unstable. It's a great adaptation of a great card game. The art is beautiful and the controls intuitive. The problem is that the game eventually stops working (happened on both Moto Z Play and Moto Z3), and requires a full reinstall, at which point you lose all progress and additional game modes.

The game is fun at the lower levels in campaign mode. Later on it is very apparent it is rigged towards the computer winning, which makes the game a lot less enjoyable. Setting up an account to play with your friends is also impossible; it constantly says there is an error when entering your email address. If looking to play with your friends, find a different game. I love this game. Really fun to play even against the AI. Learning curve is small. Loved the campaign as well, although after completing the campaign I don't play it much. An offline two player game over wi-fi/bluetooth with a friend would be great. In the Pass n Play mode please let us play different game modes like rising prices etc.

I love Jaipur. I own a physical copy of it. The multiplayer needs to be worked on. A friend and I play long distance, and our games always time out. I also wish there was a bit more customization in making online matches, like being able to turn the timer off... If these issues were fixed, I'd be more apt to give a higher rating.

This game hasn't been updated in a very long time by the looks of it. For that reason I think it is best to avoid buying this for now, as it is pretty much non-functional on any modern phone. Opening the app just greets me with a 'we cant verify your license message', then it force closes. Unfortunate. If anyone is looking to play the virtual version of this game, an officially licensed version is available on a site called Board Game Arena.

I'm loving it so far. I like the campaign a lot. The different rules in different destinations make it interesting and fun. I also like the building element. I'm nearly through the campaign already, and I worry I might tire of the game. It might be a good idea to have multiple campaigns, or just an additional one? Initially, I was unable to create an account, but I went to the asmodee website and made one there. However, there are few people in the online duel, but that's to be expected.

The interface and game play are great but the AI is not only cheap but opportunistic almost all the time. It "conveniently" gets high value cards or the ability to end the game right before you can sell a good amount. Wish this would be fixed. As its drawn me away from playing it much these days

Developer has a habit of continually adding new permissions, always without any explanation or even mentioning them. Trying to get an explanation via email is like pulling teeth, taking several months of back and forth just to get a BS, half-@$$ed answer that only shows they either have no clue what they're talking about or they're lying, neither of which is something I want from the developer of an app I use only my phone.

I had the card version of this game and loved it, so I decided to install this online version. I had it a few months and everything was good and working fine, but then for no reason at all it wouldn't let me open the app at all. I tried several times over a period of a few weeks and still no joy. I also sent multiple pieces of feedback. I have no idea if they were viewed but nothing was done to resolve the bug. DO NOT INSTALL!!

Single player is great, so is the campaign mode. But pass and play is broken. It keeps crashing when passing so far into a game. Also we have to hold the phone at a ridiculous angle to be able to see the cards.

Game breaking bugs. The game crashes in the middle of a round, and had an instance of the tilt function to stop working on a tablet. We tried 3 times to play a game, only 1 succeeded and gave up when we ran into so many issues.

A. G. u. Jan 21, 2019

Paid for the app. Worked fine until it stopped. The hard levels are extremely hard and cannot help but feel there is a bias towards the AI. That, I guess is the limitation of playing a chance game against a computer.

A. G. u. May 5, 2019

when playing the computer, there is a serious bug - with 7 cards in hand the computer can still exchange cards from the market whereas the player (i) cannot. this results in a heavy winning bias for the computer. please fix this asap as there is no point playing the computer with this huge bias, solo functionality is useless for now.

I love this game. I had it on a previous phone. When I went to reinstall it, it said it needed permission to see if I was on a phone and who was calling. Erm, no. So I haven't reinstalled it because I'm not happy do give permission for that. Perhaps I could have my money back, or you could release a version without demanding unnecessary permissions? No other game needs that.

Edit: problem with pass and play option. Cannot change out multiple cards from the area and camels as well as cards from my hand. Example: I want to take three leather and replace two camels and one tea from my hand and it will not let me. Will change review back if fixed. Thanks a lot great app otherwise. Great game. Many hours played and great strategy. Ai is good as well

The game is SOOOOO RIGGED on campaign mode... It's kind of ridiculous. You get passed the first (intermediate) levels in a breeze but then the later (hard) levels are quite frankly impossible to beat. The AI gets all of the good cards EVERY. SINGLE. DRAW.

Great game. Addictive gameplay. One HUGE problem though...it is "not compatible" with my Motorola Nexus 6 (maybe because it's rooted, but every other Asmodee game works fine). It works perfectly on my Chromebook, but not on the Nexus 6. Please fix this because this would be a great game to play on it.

Rub. J. S. Jul 29, 2021

@devs: The game display stretches too much, bleeding off-screen to the left and right. Good two-players only card game, mixing hand-management and trading. Good implementation, incl. a solo campaign with modified rules.

A. G. u. Jul 2, 2019

Fun, but it crashes when you minimize the game during a round. Only clearing the data or full reinstall fixes the issue, leading to campaign progress lost! Which is quite frustrating.

A. G. u. Jun 7, 2019

game crashes when you trade a camel card and an in-hand card. It's an action described in the tutorial and works there but not in the actual game. In 1hr of playing I've 4 crashes. great fun!! refunded game. Android user. Total shame as it's a really fun game!

Max. M. Aug 24, 2020

The pass and play is constantly crushing. Developers, please fix it! 8 out of 12 games we played have crushed on us, which was very disappointing, because the game looks very polished.

A. G. u. Nov 18, 2019

What otherwise could be a fantastic implementation of this game is greatly impacted by one incorrectly coded rule. When the players hand is full, they are prohibited from making a swap with the market (as they should be according to rules). This is exacerbated by the fact the AI is able to do this. As others have mentioned, this one bug leads to a major bias against the player which becomes flagrant as you progress to expert difficulty. Have to believe this change would take < 15 mins in code.

Sar. J. Jul 25, 2020

Excellent adaption of the original game. The campaign mode and the variety of playing options e.g. limiting what goods are available to sell or reversing the value of goods keeps game play interesting since you need to adapt your strategy accordingly

Good game but bad permissions. I like this game! I wish there were more people to play against online. I'm giving it 3 stars now because I don't agree to these new Google terms. They took our money and now suddenly pop up with new terms that we have to agree to for a purchase I made over a year ago, or I can't play with the product I already bought? Like this other Hannah reviewer said, refunds should be offered. Google is getting too weird with this stuff.
