Since you still have to have your PC running with the jam cast server running. I was hoping this would eliminate that, & I could just use my tablet and not have to worry about using my laptop. This just adds an extra step. So I guess I'll just continue to use my laptop to stream
This app fails to find Jamcast server on android 7. Worked when installed on identical phone with Android 6. Attempted to contact Jamcast by forums but fourms errors out every attempt of posting. Sent email but not a premium customer and no response by email. Not willing to go premium with such poor support.
The persistent notification only show the name of song, no playback control or quite button. ..
Very easy to use and best dlna app so far. Payed for full version, it worse it
I had to restart the server to find it. It is using lots of bandwidth and seeks slowly even on WiFi locally. I hope they fix it soon. For now 4 starts for the effort.
Awesome app, perfect for streaming music and podcasts. Setting it up was actually pretty easy. Glad I found this.
What's the point in getting the app if you have to download something that requires a PC. The reason why I wanted to download the app Is because I don't have a PC and I want to stream Spotify to my Xbox from my Mobil device.
Nice app..concept is good but minor changes require.
Thought it might work with my dlna server but no joy
I like the easy to use interface. Great design.
Only works on windows pc
What is the point in downloading the phone app if I need a PC to use it?
First app since Audiogalaxy to actually do what I want to do, take my music with me without having to download my MP3 files to my phone. Support is the best. Always get an answer to my questions and concerns right away. I will always update this program and keep on using it for as long as it is available.
Very easy to use and helpful. Love the UI design.
Best customer service I've ever seen.
It's not free and I don't want to pay fore it so please delete my Google account thanks
Awesome software. Always being update great support if needed. New 2.0 server for the pc is great. One of the few pieces of software I'm glad I bought. I use it daily to push music from my pc or Google music (virtual sounds card) to my whole house audio system
Needed to do some tweaking... But great fast answer from support to my questions.... Good app
Was a long time AG fan and had to look for something else once they closed in January 2013. Stumbled upon Jamcast and I must say this is the best Audiogalaxy alternative out there so far! The UI is gorgeous compared to AG's UI and set up was as easy at AG. Just add the folders you want and add the iTunes folder...everything appears. You should definitely give Jamcast a shot if you were an Audiogalaxy user and looking for an alternative.
Great app working in unison with Jamcast server running on my pc and laptop which also streams to your dlna devices. Works brilliantly.
Was looking for something that streamed to new Panasonic Diga Blu Ray player. Easy setup and now can play Spotify on all devices.
Play all your media from home over data or WiFi with an easy interface. Not buggy at all. I downsample to 192k for perfect playback quality over my data connection. The app installs on your computer and sets up a server that the phone connects to from anywhere. The app on your phone connects to it automatically.
Loved the app and the direction where it's headed, reminds me of Audiogalaxy but it still way behind it. $14 bucks for the server? That's a little ridiculous..maybe in the future I'll give it a try again..
Crashes when I try to use the virtual soundcard stream. Doesn't work on my 2.2.3 device either. Wasted money on the Windows server, grr
Stable and useful. Continuous improvement. Looking forward to the next release.
Doesn't want to play virtual soundcard stream (Jamcast 1.9.1.252). 30 bucks down the drain.
Jamcast is a great piece of software and support is brilliant
Was able to find a Spotify plugin for the Windows Jamcast app (was only in source code, was a piece of cake to compile in Visual Basic. This also requires a developer Application Code from the Spotify website, also easy to get) to allow it to grab Spotify playlists, so I can now stream Spotify on any DLNA device such as my Xbox One or Chromecast, none of which have native Spotify apps yet. I can also use this mobile app to browse, cast, and control playback of the music from the couch. Great stuff!
