Works fine as it always has. Users just need to be aware they are connecting to Wi-Fi, which has limited coverage. Coverage is noticeably increasing with each visit. Users that can't connect probably just need to move to an area with better reception.
Rubbish. Never successfully connected to a network - but can connect manually. sat directly under a japan free WiFi sticker in a venue. Doesn't even find the network let alone connect! Makes you question what they are actually up to.
The app does not authenticate access points well eventhough the wifi access points indicate that they could be connected by the app. It is pretty much useless and one needs to register access point by access poibt instead. Hope they do fundamental change before the Olympic.
does not connect. this app is quite slow and doesnt even successfully connect to any wifi spots. it is basically useless. the only benefit is its map showing where free wifi spots might be.
Apparently, it is meant to log you onto the free wifi out there. It doesn't. You still have to manually log on. Not sure of the point of this app if it doesn't do what it advertises it should.
In 2016 it worked great. In 2019 it almost never worked - in 2 weeks in Japan, only had it work once and it was unstable connection.
pretty dismal app. even when the app and my device showed connected I was unable to do anything online. Perhaps the next I go to Japan or any other international trip I will rent a portable wifi hotspot.
Never worked for me. Stuck in authentication. Tried to connect manually to the wifi and it works. So it's not the wifi's issue.
Don't waste your time. This did not work work my devices. "a transmission error has occurred please try again in a location with a stable communication environment" dialog is shown.
Works OK my only complaint is you register your email but you need to confirm it within 10 minutes but you cannot get connected till you confirm. Catch 22
I found this app very helpful in the frust few days in Japan when I had no mobile sim card! 5 stars!
Hasn't worked in almost 3 years. Prior to that though it was great for about 6 months.
Requires registration. Not worth it for an app that only tells you where free WiFi is.

Useless, your better off using JR stations, coffee shops, etc.

absolutely hopeless.. never worked..
During our stay, it worked exactly once. Most of the time, you get excellent wifi signal, it connects successfully to it but the authentication just fails. If you connect manually, it works just fine so it's really this app that's not working.
