Straight to the point and does its job. I've never found an easier way to drill conversions into my head. When I first started using it, it had only basic verb conjugations. It has come a long way since then. It's added adjective conjugations, other verb conjugations, and many quality of life improvements. If you want to seriously learn Japanese, this app is my top suggestion for learning conjugations. Thank you to the developers who've been so diligent on constantly improving this app!
I absolutely love this app for helping me conquer verb conjugation! It legit works and doesn't feel like it's taking up too much of your day. It even helps me spend less time on social media. Thank you so much for this! I do have some suggestions for improvement though 1. Pls include N2 and N1 verbs. 2. If possible, it would be great if I could mark specific verbs that I struggle with so that they can appear more often during drills. These are just suggestions though. The app is great as is
Great app, very useful. Terrible UI for first use though. Only reason I didn't 5/5, is because at first glance it is an absolute disaster of information, and takes a bit of time to parse everything and really make good use of it. A more simplified landing page or main menu is really all it needs. A more straightforward introduction for those at an earlier stage of learning a language to be able to figure out what they actually need to look at. Everything else is just wonderful.
Great app! Goes straight to the point and it works perfectly. It's a good complement to regular Japanese classes. The only issue that I've found so far is that there's no section for the negative non-polite conjugation - "nai". So the change into "negative past" is a little bit abrupt. As a suggestion, I think that it would be awesome to add a section for 辞書形 (so people can practice 動詞の読み方) and a section with the non-polite negative form.
I've only been messing with this app for about 10 minutes and I can already tell this is going to help me so much. Conjugation is a slimy booger. Now, I would definitely pair this with my Japanese lessons from other sources, because the explanations aren't detailed, but if you don't want to read through your textbooks and notes, this is a good place for repetition and a quick way to recall what you already know.
I've been using this app atleast 30 mins everyday for the past 2 months and it has been pivotal in my conjugation learning, pretty much fulfilled all my needs in that regard. I would want nothing more but to have the app added with more conjugation types especially the casual conjugations. Other than that I feel like the after test stat screen isn't quite as clear as it should be, most of the time I just want to review what I got wrong which I'd have to do some scrolling for.
The pictures and description really do not do it justice. There are over a dozen verb and adjective forms to choose from and you can choose any combination of them for both your starting word (question) and ending word (answer). I find this useful for being given an already conjugated word and having to turn it into its base form. Feature request: being shown the translation and what form the question word was in one you've made your answer so you can check if you were correct.
Easy to use app. Grammar explanation is simple and clear. The only issue that I have is with my phone the keyboard is on top of the submit button, which makes me need to scroll unnecessary. I can't remember that being the case about a year ago. I do like the additional of conjugating adjectives.
Fantastic app! Does exactly what it's designed to do. I hope it continues to be developed and polished because this is a stellar addition to anyone's Japanese study toolbox.
The best among the apps I've tried when it comes to conjugation of Japanese verbs and adjectives. I hope you could add more data about the verb (i.e., if tv. or iv), that would really help. Nonetheless, the best app out there. It helped me a lot. 💕
Good app with a few shortcomings. I've been using Google Handwriting to input answers (for practice) and the two issues I've noticed: 1) 下さる is not recognised as a form of くださる 2) the correct answers don't allow a mix of kanji and kana. e.g. 乗り換える - I have not learned the second kanji so I left it as か and it rejected an otherwise correct answer. Otherwise it does as it says on the tin and does it fairly well.
Amazing app! My ability to conjugate verbs would be nil without this :D Keep up the good work! I like that the design isn't flashy, it gets right down to business while all the information is nicely organised. I think the only additional thing I'd want from this app is adjective conjugation.
It's a simple but very useful app for learning conjugations. It gives you a dictionary form verb (usually with kanji and no furigana, which I like as you're learning vocab that way too) and a tense. You conjugate the verb and if you get it wrong an explanation is available telling you how to conjugate it properly. Perfect. Only downside is very occasionally I type the right answer in with kanji and it doesn't recognise it (and only recognises a hiragana answer).
Great app, easy to use and customise to your experience. Exactly what I was looking for to push my Japanese skills to the next level and prep for an exam. The only suggestion I have is that I'd like to be able to remove the English translation of the verb along with the other language display settings, so that I can test my kanji reading skills without the hint. Thanks for making such a useful app!
Perhaps it's my input method, however, there is a glitch involving entering text where it will go-oooooooooooooooo... like that! hahaha! Otherwise, this is great for reviewing -- as I never used some of the verbs, and rarely use some of the forms. When I need Japanese next, I'll be a bit better groomed for speech. Thanks again!
This is an amazing and promising app. Hopefully more words and levels to be added. I know this is not a vocabulary app, but if we can have like a vocab list in a way we can also search words and create custom tests would be great as well. Love this app. Worth supporting. Keep it up!
Honestly better than I expected. Super easy to use, simple to understand, and right to the point. No fluff, no unnecessary graphical guff, just learning and well worth supporting the devs for a few bucks. A great supplement to my daily studies, thank you for making this. <3
Good for reviewing verb and adjective conjugation which was what I was looking for. I dont think all of the translations on the words are 100% accurate, which is important for new words you come across, but at the end of the day it serves the purpose I was looking for.
This is a good app except for these points - Sometimes a verb has more than one 読み方 so the app will say you gave the wrong answer even though you couldn't know which verb it was. - I think if you choose N4 etc. the verbs shown don't match those levels well based on the vocab books I've memorised. I want to practise conjugating verbs, not be trying to memorise new verbs. - It would be good if you could target specific verb endings e.g. practise Conjugations for verbs that end in く and つ etc.
This app is more like a textbook without the test answers. The testing functions don't really work. I like concept, but the app feels very unfinished. This combined with ads for an unfinished product is why I gave it 2 stars.
Great app, and updated regularly! Perfect for learners of ANY level to drill conjugations, and the perfect way to make conjugating come naturally to you. It offers explanations when you get something wrong, walking you step by step in how to get the right answer. Highly recommended.
The app is really good to practise on the. The best of all it point out the mistakes you make and how to correct them。A nice addition for the future would be: - have some kind of SRS system to help memorize the dictionarry form of verbs/adjective on different level - be able to practise certain list of verbs/adjectives while doing your test - add tai form
For anyone studying Japanese, this is a must have. It specifically has quizzes for verb tense which I've not found in another app, it's well played out and very easy to use. I have added this to my absolute must haves for studying. 10/5 stars for this app.
I like how you don't already have to know how to conjugate the verbs/adjectives to use the app, they have the conjugations lessons for you so you can learn and then practice, I do wish they had more adjectives conjugations though, also if you get a conjugation wrong they have an explanation to help you correct an answer.
Simple, useful and quite intuitive. Stable and bug-free so far. Thanks for adding adjectives! What I really miss here is the second negative te-form (~ないで) and polite versions of adjectives.
Excellent learning tool! I love the short explanations it gives you when you make a mistake and the fact it encourages you to write the correct answer even so is very conducive to improvement. I also like that furigana is off by default so you are encouraged to use your knowledge of the kanji.
Helpful app, it would be 5 stars if there was an option to display Japanese AND hiragana/romaji on the verb stats(and verb information) page. You can choose any 1 of 3, but if 2 were available, then the kanji spelling could be seen without having to toggle. - dev updated, 5 🌟!
Great app for practicising and revising!! I know adjectives are easy but it would be great if you could add them and all the possible conjugations too. Keep up the good work!
Really, really useful for practicing can't really find anything else out there that compares. Two things I would love to see for it to be functionally perfect. A more complete list of forms eg:shimau and tai forms. And give the option to turn off romanji, it's distracting. - (edit: so there is, maybe have it accessible from the main settings drop down? I didn't notice the icon appearing after the home screen nor did I read the 'about' statement initially which I suspect most won't either.)
