Japanese dictionary

This app used to be amazing. It saved me a lot of time back in Japanese 1 and 2 when I was in high school. This app now contains really annoying intrusive ads for Facebook where it used to contain banner ads that were out of the way. I tried upgrading only for it to say it failed to process it in the app while still taking my money. This is a perfect example of fixing things that aren't broken. The ads were fine before, but you "fixed" them and they now cover the whole screen at random. 2/5

Other than the horrible ads that block the screen and interrupt what you're tripping, I like using this dictionary. However, the ads are so annoying, and I've even picked the paid version, but the ads are still there. Developer is very slow to respond to questions, even though I paid for the app. Until this issue is truly resolved, don't waste your money on this app like I did! Find another dictionary to use!

The interface is pretty comfortable and the database is pretty expansive, works great for a basic dictionary, and the kanji lists are nice too. But HELL the ads are extremely disruptive, even if i restrict access to my network. I think I'm typing a word right after opening the app, but nope, full screen ad popped up and I'm already in chrome after accidentally clicking it. Decent dictionary, but really trash app

I am so disappointed . I've had this app for years and it worked fine. That was the donate version. Now I installed it in a new device, bought it again accidentally (how did thag happen? It was the same account) regardless, I didn't mind since this has been useful to me over the years. However, I am still seeing ad banners. Please fix this. I would be grateful.

I've had this app for 4 months or so. Really like it and had it on an older phone for almost 2 years. But somehow a particular facebook ad has ramped up. Even if I disable autorotate, I get the same wideview ad incessantly taking up the whole screen every time I want to type or search a new word.

The dictionary itself is very good. I paid for the ad-free "Donate" version of this app. Unfortunately, it is no different from the free version and is still clogged up with ads. Message to developer: Please can you update the app to fix this? In the meantime I suggest users do not download the "Donate" version.

Worked fine for the better part of 2 years or so, bugs here and there but overall fine. Just now however, everything on it was wiped, all the history, the favourites and everything else in the vocabulary list. Everything I saved is now gone and I can't get it back. I'm frankly extremely upset, if there's anything I can do to get it back then please let me know, or better yet, fix it and not let something like this happen again.

So far, the app has been quite helpful, and the kanji by components feature is neat. Though personally, I'd also prefer a feature where you can find out certain kanji by writing them down.

My fave 🇯🇵 dict. For a second I got worried that this app's no longer in the play store. Turns out, I'm just not familiar with the new app icon. Anyways, I love it when the app starts. White, red and sakura <3 Edit v2: The more you're learning japanese, the more useful NDC Solution's app becomes. The Kanji by components has become so helpful recently. I'm very grateful with this app, guess I should donate.

Downloaded the app, went to input a word and immediately got a full screen video ad for several seconds. There are other ad-free alternatives, this is so inconvenient as to be pointless.

As much as I generally like using this app, I only wish that I didn't need to make an account just to keep some saved words from getting constantly erased. Other than that, really convenient app for smartphones!

The app good, this dictionary app has been my companion until now and it works great but it would be great if it has an pitch indicator thingy in some words to differentiate the pronunciation of some word like ame(rain) and ame(candy) and more

I have been using this app for years and love it! That said I'm giving this one star due to the latest update completely breaking the app on my phone. I'll be happy to remove my review if it's fixed but right now the only thing that works is the ads...

I purchased this dictionary in February 2019 and it worked hardly 6 months and crushed three times during this period and now crushed permanently and now not working even not opening since last week. When I tried to open, it shows that you perhaps not buy this dictionary, download failed. I even wrote email to complaining but no solution.

I liked this app so I bought the premium version to get rid of the ads, but even with premium it still shows ads! what a scam! don't pay for this app if you're trying to go ad-free!

I was very satisfied and even fascinated with this app untill it stopped working properly. First, it started with endless download process without responding to my queries and without recognition of me having purchased this app (through donation). I bought it TWICE through Google. Still, now it does start and work but does not recognize my donates((

It is a very useful dictionary but my favourite words that I have been saving disappear and do not come back. I had to start from zero 3 times.

I hadn't searched for one word that I had already had three full-screen video ads with the sound waking up my kids. Terrible.

I've been using this for 18 months. After having installed 10 or so Japanese apps, this is the only one that stuck. Very useful.

I've studying Japanese for more than 2 years now and this has been an essential tool for me. It is simply the best. I will be definitely be paying the donate version. It is very well deserved.

The ads on every single screen make this impossible to even try. I don't even care if the app is any good, you're not getting a dime out of me.

I bought the premium version but I still get lot of ads. Please fix this or return my money.

Simply doesn't work. On first launch, download fails saying "you haven't purchased the app." So apparently even opening the app is a "pro" feature now

What happened, there's more ads than last year, and now it's interrupting than just banner ads
