I love it! It's very rich in information, and I especially like the addition of possible expressions that the words can be used in. It's also very easy, fast, and convenient to use. Great job!

Ascendo Inc. is probably the best language app maker I ever encountered in Google Play. I have downloaded every language dictionary they have and every app seems to contain all the words a language learner needs at start. Grateful that I stumbled upon you guys. Hope I'm blessed enough soon to buy every paid version of your apps.

This is a very good dictionary for students who learn Japanese.

It frequently crashes on my Samsung tablet.

The app is so helpful

A very handy dictionary with so many useful features. My favorite one is the phrase book that provides essential phrases which is very helpful to get around in Japan. The search being available offline is very convenient, as well as the fact that you can search in rōmaji or kana. Not to mention the flashcard is incredibly useful for a quick study. One small suggestion, it would be great if it provides example sentences of the word. Overall, great app! お疲れ様でした!

One star for lying. There's no way this is "leading" when other dictionary/translation apps have 100s of thousands or millions of downloads and this has a tiny fraction of that. "best" is a nice ambiguous term but "leading" needs obvious stats or clearly defined metric. If only Google could vet this stuff better. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to trust this app when it's presented this way.

What I love about Ascendo's dictionary apps is that they're so practical. This Japanese translator and pocket dictionary is no different. Whereas many language learning platforms have you learning new vocab until you give up the language from boredom, Ascendo engages you right off the bat with real life conversations. If you're on your way to Japan right now and don't speak a word of Japanese, you want this app over any other.

This app is DOPE AF. It's really easy to use. Everything is there, the dictionary, the basics, quizzes if you want to test yourself, and flashcards too. It's a package and you don't have to download other apps for other uses anymore. It's a total package. I love it.

Have the Italian dictionary from the same developer. Great apps. The TTS feature for the example sentences is huge.

I love this app! It is well laid out and easily accessible to any level of Japanese. Very intuitive. The flash cards and quizzes are very fun and helpful, and I've the offline dictionary! I also found the phrase book to be incredibly helpful, and I would definitely recommend this app to students, travelers, and anyone interested in learning Japanese

I love this app! It has everything I really want or need, and I like the learning tools that come with it. It really helps with some of the more practical phrases, but there's a pretty comprehensive amount of not-so-basic phrases in there too.

Nice app. Flashcards are useful. Had a problem with audio but support helped me fix it.

I am a third year student of Japanese. I tried a few free Japanese dictionaries and found this one to be the best. Not only for the comprehensive dictionary but also for the verb conjugator and phrasebook.

Verb conjugator riddled with basic errors. Dictionary does not look any better than EDICT. Don't pay money for this.
