Japanese Grammar

I'm sudying for N2 exam and this app really helps all the grammar review. I tried the free version and ended up to pay for the add-free version as this is really a good product. Just one suggestion, in the grammar explanations pages, it would be nice to have very simple/core sentences together with the more advanced ones. Sometimes a very complicated sentence is used to explain an elementary particle with the risk of losing the focus on the main topic. Anyway very good app, I recommend it.

The rating is based on what I see now. It's the same for all apps I ever used. Also, some grammar points still have typos. (for example, one that should mean positive but ends up with being negative.) Please add landscape mode support and allow users to adjust font scale. (It's too small on an Android tablet) Thank you very much.

This app is extremely helpful for intermediate to advanced users. It would help beginners but not nearly as much as it would for INT/ADV. There is still the fact that most numbers are replaced with a different language, but you can get used to that fast (please fix this devs). If you're thinking about trying it, go for it.

It's a pretty helpful app overall. I especially like the explanations with references when I make mistakes in the practice tests. Though I'd like to suggest adding a feature that saves the result sheet and give the users the option to review the result sheet as much as they need. I think that'll help a lot

Amazing resource that makes checking grammar so much easier. Each grammar poiny has a description and numerous examples, which is a massive help. The organization and practice tests are also great and it's clear that a lot of care was put into this app. My only complaint is the way the ads are implemented, but its amazing that such an expansive resource as this is free to begin with.

Very helpful app! Many grammar points and sample JLPT tests. Highly recommended for a self-check. However, I wouldn't recommend it if you're learning the grammar from scratch: no detailed explanations of the grammar points are provided, and the sentences given as examples are not appropriate to the JLPT level (very simple grammar points had very complicated examples). Otherwise, this app is a good tool to check your progress in Japanese grammar.

There are way too many ads. I understand that you want money, but I literally just downloaded the app and it's kind of unbearable. I'm being bombarded with ads. I start a test/lesson with 20 questions and I have 3 ads in the middle.That does not make me want to pay you to remove ads, it makes me want to uninstall the app. It seems like the ads happen at completely random times which is worse.You get 2 stars because it looks like you put effort into the making of the app and I can appreciate that

The app is useful for Japanese learners. But the Englush translations are horrible at times: in the section ~ている one does not conduct a phone. One makes a phone call or one uses the phone. A political ad popped up. Had to exit the app and uninstall the app because the ad wpukd not close unless you you click accept and are pushed to a link. You should have the option of looking at the ad and then getting back to learning. Will be glad to send in English corrections if i had the email address

So far so great!! Very helpful!! It's a big ask, but it would be really appreciated if there was a way to see literal translations for sentences too! Sometimes it takes me a long time to figure out why I see certain words that are used but then don't come up in the translation. For a beginner, it can be hard sometimes to tell if it's a word or a particle or conjugation! Just putting that out there. Love this app! Thank you!

i've mostly learned vocabulary up to now and i found grammar really hard but this app makes it way easier. the only complain i have (which is a tiny detail but still an important one) is the way the grammatical structures that are shown, are not underlined in the sentence. that would make it even easier to spot and understand. aside from that, i have no complaints, overall a good app

It's the best app that I used so far to learn liking words, you know particles. But I think they aren't enough of liking words practice and when I'm done practicing and I want to advance, it's difficult since it's the same practice all the time. It's quite boring for me since I want to improve. Please do something about it. However aside from that it's a good app. I'm looking forward to it.

Really enjoying the app. I'll use it along side Genki textbook. I want to pay to remove the ads, but not sure if it's once off or monthly payments. Otherwise, really good and highly recommend this for studying with your textbook and spatial repetition.

Very good so far despite some typing errors. Still under my evaluation… Update: still 5*. Suggestions: 1/ many exemple sentences are from novels and are way too complex; more daily-life types would be better. 2/ in the above, highlighting the grammar point within the phrase would be nice.

Very easy to use! I like the practice part the most. The price to remove may be reasonable to others but it's still expensive here in my country. But it's alright. I don't mind the ads.

I like the simplicity of the application, I think is great for reviewing grammar points, but it contains many errors on the examples translations. It would great if there were an option to easily report those errors so they can be fixed.

Editing my previous review as I am going to revisit the app. I do still think the adverts are intrusive and really do prohibit trying out the app (full screen ads that regularly take you right out of what you were doing). However I would like to give it a second try and see whether I can tolerate the adverts long enough to see if it is worth continuing with.

Another great app. Having all the grammar points neatly organized is fantastic, but especially the jlpt practice tests. Best of all is once again having intermediate and advanced tabs. Personally the font size does not bother me, but a night mode would be great.

crashes every time I open it, or any of the other Poro Japanese apps. Pretty frustrating. I am running Android 9, so maybe that has something to do with it? Either way if my Android version is the reason the apps need to updated to fix this issue.

Generally good app. Paid to remove ads. Did not work. I sent the dev team an email with proof of purchase and they have not contacted me to assist. Edit 08/26/19: Dev team reached out via email and walked me through disabling ads. I've upped the rating on the app based on the overall improved experience.

Each grammatical rule is supported with few exemplary sentences. The sentences should be as simple as possible to highlight the grammar usage. Instead, most of the time, they are very difficult, complicated and bring more confusion to the topic.

I think that for the people who finished learning ひらがな and カタカナ they could easily read out the examples (They don't have to worry about kanji since furigana has been included). However, for those who are in the process of learning the 2 writing systems won't have to rely on this app yet, nonetheless this is a useful app.

it is an amazing way to learn that will not only help you understand the meaning of the grammar phrases but also provide you with sentences which increases learning capability. if you wanna learn japanese fast then download the other complementary apps alongside this. this will definitely help you fulfill your need.

Even the "ultra-beginner" level has example phrases that are complex and not very practical or simple for a beginner. Use phrases that will occur in daily life! Most of the examples you won't hear too often.

It's really helpful to have this whole list of JLPT grammar at hand, and I really like that especially since I'm not actually planning on taking an actual Japanese class but I want to keep up with the JLPT standards. However, there are some problems. I showed some of the sentences to my Japanese friend and he said it is not natural Japanese. Also, the English is a bit hard to understand. Could you put in some more natural sentences and fix the English, please? It would really help. Thanks.

This is not helpful for beginners it is more of a refresh review tool for those that already know stuff. There are better apps out there to learn. If you are lucky they give you a understandable explanation, but most of it is one a one sentence explanation or not even that and only has bullet point info. Also there is multiple questionable political stances and sentences all through the app not something I want in a language learning app. If I wanted to read politics I would read the newspaper.

Found a translation error. In one sentence, "otouto" was translated as "father". It's just a minor mistranslation and not really related to the main use of this app, which is grammar, but I'll be on the lookout for more mistakes, if any.

Great execution but some of the grammar points seem way too advanced for the lower jlpt levels. The examples provided are also way too advanced. I've also caught some full sentence translation mistakes in the quizzes.

This application has an user-friendly looking and well organized. However, every time advertisement pop up, the grammar lists always go to the top of the list, then I have to scroll down to continue my grammar lesson. Anyway, the application is really useful for me. I use this app to revise my knowledge of N4 and prepare myself for N3. ♥️

I almost pay 3$ for it but I stopped my finger when I found out their is no way to adjust the fonts because it really hard to read a wall of texts even on 7" screen. this is good apps but it need an improvement
