Japanese Hiragana Handwriting

This app is fine for practicing the motion of writing the hiragana, but offers little in the way of studying. There is no option to hide then reveal the romanji associated with the hiragana on screen. There is an audio feature which can help in self-study, but some of the sound clips are so short they are unclear which consonants are being used. This app could greatly benefit from a few tweaks to the flashcard section and the writing practice session to make studying easier.

Pretty good for hiragana writing practice. Wish it also had katakana and dakuon of both hiragana and katakana. Doesn't save writing settings and the random doesn't seem to actually do every hiragana, as I did the random writing 100 times and there were several characters that never came up once.

There are a few errors in vocabulary used with the "picture writing" mode. One says りんご on the bottom but then has a picture of hills, complete with 「おか」and " hills" next to it.

This is a very very very nice app I learned Japanese from this app.Now I am good in Japanese because of this app. Actually I am India and I don't know Japanese language I talk in English but this app make me easy to learn and I learned Japanese in a month

Needs kanji with furigana. Kana alone are good only to a certain point.

numerous errors like incorrect words, pictures, and hiragana, not to mention incorrect pronunciation. for example, it says ocha but hiragana shows ちゃ (unmatched), it shows oka (hill) but the hiragana shown for it is りんご (incorrect word), better yet it says orenji but shows みっかん. and how did you say uta again? Horrible quality is an understatement. this is damaging to one's learning, especially kids. stay away.

It looked like a nice and helpfull app. It's a shame that the app stops or crashes everytime I try to open something.

It's pretty neat and very helpful. Would definitely recommend for learning Hiragana.

The word cards show different romanized text than the hiragana. Both seem to be right, but they don't match. For someone new to the language, they might think their reading of the hiragana is wrong. Plus many loan words are in there, when they should be written in katakana, a completely different writing system.

Only has hiragana, and the features don't quite work the way you'd hope, but nerveless it's pretty good for teaching hiragana

At one point the hiragana read "ringo," when the picture was not an apple and the romaji read "oka." Probably a software issue. Otherwise good!
