Cool features! Thanks a lot to the creators. The interface and the way the kanji is organized is really helpful and very learner-friendly. Not overwhelming at all, and you can easily learn anywhere, any time!
the practice tests are very good. there should be some hiragana for the entire sentence after the practice test. there are so many bugs in the favourites section. In the favourite questions, it doesn't show which one is the correct answer for some of the questions, and for those that do have a highlights, both the wrong and correct answers are colored green. It seems that the app was just released last december. I think this app will be nice after you fix all the bugs and add more features.
This app is awesome! It has pictures, sound (pronunciation), and the option to favorite a card if you need to study it more. Yes, there are ads, BUT ITS A FREE EDUCATION APP. There is an option to pay $4.99 one time only to get rid of ads and support the creators. That's the price of a fast food burger or taco. Stop being ungrateful and either pay the price for a useful app, or stop complaining. The pictures are great because it gives the kanji context. Helps for memory!
So far so good! The many options of studying/practicing kanji is quite helpful to memorize it and recognize it as second nature. I'm very excited to keep using this and improving my skills. *only con is when the ad pops up in the middle of the timed challenges...that should be before or after so we don't automatically fail it. Other than that すきです!😊
One of the best apps out there! There are mistakes in some kunyomi/onyomi, and sometimes meanings in other languages are difficult to understand; some examples lists show onyomi/kunyomi that aren't in the kanji ones. Also, sometimes sounds don't work. App would be even better if it also had tests only regarding each level's kanjis, and without the examples!(I humbly ask because first I'm learning all the kanji and later the ones in examples, and this way I can't review the former by themselves)
Nice app. The only small issue I have is that the practice quizzes for the jlpt kanji test don't update your best score. It only shows the first score that you had, and if you have a perfect score after, it doesn't show it. Makes it difficult to remember where you stopped. Might be because I am using the free version though...
I LOVE this app! It's amazing at teaching Kanji in a fun way and it expanded my vocabulary as well with the example words it gives. The mnemonics it uses to help me remember each Kanji is fantastic! Truly one of the best, if not THE best Kanji app out there (I tried all the others). There was a bit of a problem purchasing the ad-free version as the app did not immediately remove the ads. However reinstalling it worked for me. Perhaps improve on this developers, but otherwise, FIVE stars!
At first, it was VERY confusing and frustrating, but after trying to do the test without studying, I understood the layout of the app. Now, I understand how to study the material and take the test. I love the different forms of testing that are available. Flashcards, a test, and little challenges. I am very much looking forward to learning more Kanji!! Biggest flaw is the amount of ads. Edit: No need to apologize, the app was so worth it, the $5 donation for no ads was way worth every penny.
UPDATE: it took a few days to get it figured out, but I now have the ad-free version. :) I really liked the app and decided to pay for the ad-free version. The only problem is I still have ads, even though I've already paid and got a receipt for my purchase. I contacted the creators via email to try and get help with this issue, but 24 hours later I haven't heard back. I'll edit this review if/when the problem is resolved.
very useful and organised, but sometimes the sounds for the words doesn't play or play very late. but it's a nice app, and totally recommend it💕💥
the app is very good and I understand that you need Ads to keep an app going to improve it. however, every time I click back or onto a new kanji I get an ad! im talking every 10 seconds kind of thing. a good app but I would be more Inclined to purchase the premium version if they promoted that more instead of having ads on literally every click. **Especially helpful for Genki kanji learning.
This would be a perfect app but there are a lot of mistakes. The kana and audio don't match. Also some of the definitions are wrong. Eight for example says August (things) instead of eight (things). Ten says とお instead of ジュウ Otherwise I like the app. The setup is nice. i love the quizes and flashcard setup.
This is an awesome app. I was looking for one with pictures as memory tips. すごい I think there is a small bug, though. In flashcards, for numbers, all the pronunciations on the bottom right are not correct. It would be nice if you could fix this. I have mailed the support email id 🙂
Okay,I love this app so much💖😊/ It's the best app to learn kanjis( ╹▽╹ )(for me). It's free , also has many free kanjis "What more can you ask" :) oh, and The ads don't bother me much, so for me This app has a 10 :D✨
The new version is kinda bad. There are mistranslations and lots of annoying pop-up ads.
I am truly loving this app! :D It has images that help you remember the kanji characters, it has flash cards, drawing practice, & challenges. Has audio pronounciation and hiragana for you to know how to read the examples of the given kanji. I think the only little problem it has is that sometimes I need to recheck the reading of some kanji because there are some mistakes that I found. Also sometimes the audio wouldn't load or it is too low sound for me to hear. But overall the best app out there
I paid to remove ads but it was not clear how to actually run the app without ads. It didn't work automatically. I tried closing it several times. I tried force stopping it. Everytime I opened the app it still said I was running the free version. Finally I tried clicking on the button to buy it again. That must have initiated a check of some sort because all the ads suddenly disappeared.
I'm a big fan of the app. Very well made, solid and has some nice exercises. Will be getting the paid version because ads every 30 seconds are really killing my vibs
It's a helpful app but the audio sounds like it's coming from a trash can and there's too many ads.
I understand the need for ads, but these ads were INCREDIBLY intrusive and made the experience very frustrating. One video ad every fifteen seconds. Too many ads. A suggestion would be to find some way to balance learning and ads, have an ad after a section. It would be much better than going through the kanji, only to accidentally click on an ad every time you switched kanji. I get you need ads. This is FAR too many. A shame because this one looked promising.
Great app, I struggled for ages to find a good resource for learning kanji, finally feels like I'm getting somewhere now. Very easy to use and very detailed. On the free version the ads are a bit of a nightmare but I'd say it's worth paying to remove them. Would definitely recommend this app overall.
The app is good, but could you please add backup and restore feature to your kanji learning progress? Thank you for making this app.
I would like to have the option to turn off by default the outline of a kanji when drawing it so i don't have to press the turn off button each time when revising it. Otherwise, this is a great app, and i will gladly change the score to 5 stars if they add this option.
I love this app, I use it every day to study kanji. I went through many apps before, but this one worked the best in getting me not only to learn but also remember the characters, with the tests, drawing practice, example words and helpful sketches. Highly recommend this app for anyone looking to learn Japanese!
Too many ads to evaluate. Getting ads every five taps or so, did one test of 20 questions and got served three or four ads. Too many. Seemed okay, but I couldn't stand the interruptions long enough to decide if I wanted to pay for it or not. Maybe allow a few days advert free before punishing us? Or at least rationalise them a bit.
I changed my review, it appears they have an error yet to be resolved with the regards to payment, if you pay to have ads removed you have to click the donate button inorder to remove the ads. You don't get charged extra, rather it seems to be the button that activates the paid version of the app
gives me ads in the middle of a test and resets my progress for that specific test. this happens every test.
I like the content and the way that Kanji are displayed, but too many ads popping up every time I tap something. I understand the need to display adds but this is too much.
