This plugin works perfectly on Samsung devices. But for Oppo r15 neo (cph1851) It got freezing frequently. please fix it
Its really hard than other plugin. And on my xiaomi the space isn't functional.
Wasn't compatible with my phone
This would be a lot better if there was a Furigana plugin
Doesn't work on android 10
I used it for 3months. Khmer couldn't find it to enter legs. It could be my insufficient knowledge of khmer. Japanese though smart input was very limited. Every time had to spell out like writing a letter, took long time to enter. After I downloaded second language, the other became only box no longer show a letter. It was very handy if worked switching between languages. I wait for more improvement. For now I unstalled.
I'm using multiling o keyboard. Current version of Japanese input plugin is great but it doesn't have custom dictionary support, Japanese names dictionary which will be so much helpful, otherwise finding kanji for names is very time consuming and frustrating. Next word prediction support isn't available. Please add these functionalities in next update! Thanks!
Multilingual keyboard is an excellent keyboard, but this dictionary is very poor. I often have to enter words kanji by kanji or switch to OpenWNN just because dictionary doesn't have a lot of frequently used words, such as 姫様 for instance. It would be really nice to have dictionary as rich as OpenWNN or Windows IME does. UPD: Dictionary was updated, no complaints so far!
I love the English version of the Okb, but the Japanese support is *terrible*. For the last two months it's been all but unusable because most of the time using「小"°」auto-completes the entry and you lose all ability to continue the word or convert it to kanji. I'm getting sick and tired of having to switch between kbs while working in two languages at once. It would also be nice if the symbol sub-entries switched to Jp. versions too.
I really hope you can find some time to improve the dictionary for Japanese. Until then I am not able to use multiling as my keyboard :( The English one is great, but Japanese needs some more work
This has been an issue for a long time but it's really started to bug me lately. The dictionary is incredibly limited, and it's so annoying to have to make words by combining parts of other words just because this keyboard doesn't recognize it. It doesn't allow for user dictionary, either; no tap-and-hold option. A very expansive dictionary file is available online for free. I understand it might be large but I'm willing to make that sacrifice! It at least needs a way to import such a file. I would even be willing to assist with implementing the extensive dictionary since it's such a problem and I have some idea of how it could work. I'm guessing it's because the developer does not have much knowledge regarding individual languages? Hit me up, Hanso!
Should be called as Alpha version. Almost useless as Japanese input, only one word by one. Cannot even properly input kana, especially with N.
The predictions for Japanese are horrible. A lot of words can't be found or recognized. The context recognition and grammar recognition is mostly nonexistent. Hope it gets improved cause I like the keyboard app itself
Trouble inputting a - for katakana words when using hardware input. ex. はに- should come out as ハニー but can't get - with hardware input.
Worked a few weeks ago on my Tablet (Dell 7), so installed on my phone. New updated version crashes on my phone. back to openflikr.
I personally, though, is kinda having some difficulties with having to slide my fingers to make kana or kanji... Space bar turns romanji into hiragana. On the bright side, it is rather complete as far as I know
auto add in additional words from predictions while I didn't choose it or press it, eg. when I typed なら, it auto corrects me to ならない as a result, while the one I want is なら only, caused me lots of typos while I typed it correctly, so annoying... Besides, I can't find any ways to choose for typing small(half-size) kana
the japanese font does not show up in landscape mode on my nexus 7. Otherwise its great! I am taking both german and japanese and its a pain to keep switching between languages when I'm doing homework.
This keyboard not support in Landscape Display on Honeycomb 3.0.1 with Acer iconia tab, the keyboard display in EN on Landscape Display and JP on Portrait Display. ありがとう。
Been looking for a keyboard like this for a long time. It is excellent. Hold the symbol button (123) and select the input mode icon (9 small squares) to change to Romaji input.
It doesn't work on my s3. Please help i really need to write in japanese
It won't detect some words, and I cant make the dzu sound with it for example 茶漬け or 気付く
Please try to fix predictions it is somewhat annoying and there is no setting to turn it off. If fixed, i'll rate 5 ★★★★★. I have seen it has nice output and input. Just the predictions is the downside. Looking forward for more...
When typing a word in japanese in regular hiragana or katakana and then selecting the appropiate kanji form, it always crashes. Please fix error!
I gotta admit everytime i wanna use it, it bugged the entier phone and freeze it. Not as good as they do back then.
Kanji conversion is limited to compounds and basic verb stems. so, u cant type 会えない、食べに行く、明日は etc. with kanji and there is no katakana choice. Please improve as I cannot type with this and have to change to the original android keyboard to type.
I study japandse and ever since i came back from Japan i have been looking for something like this. Thankyou!
Grateful for this as its difficult to find japanese keyboard language support. Thx for hard work.
my biggest issue is the constant hanging. only the japanese keyboard causes the entire keyboard to hang. other than that, doesn't seem to be a way to key in katakana beyond set words edit: i'm using oppo r9s, but the link doesn't help because i don't have the options listed in the link. security is called security centre and doesn't have battery options
this isn't as quick to suggest kanji, as the default Samsung keyboard. If I type "えいごをはなせますか?" the Samsung keyboard will correctly suggest "英語を話せますか?" automatically. This unfortunately will simply type the hiragana unless I stop after each kanji to tap the suggestions, which sometimes results in a very short list to pick from which very often doesn't have the kanji I'm looking for anyway.
