This app does not require any special permissions (5 stars right there). Looks beautiful. Step by step instructions with pictures. Shopping list built in as well as adding to pinterest and other social media outlets. Descriptions of ingredients with pictures and their uses as well as cultural and historical information. I have never written a review but would like to support the developers as this is a lovely little app! Thank you for not requiring overreaching permissions. Definitely recommended!
RIDICULOUSLY easy to use, tons of great recipes, and a visually pleasing layout that makes everything accessible. I LOVE this app and am super glad I downloaded it. If you have any interest at all in cooking Japanese food (Westernized and classic) then you owe it to yourself to download this one!
It seems they will be shutting the app down as of 1/31/2107. No real reason given. If you view their profile it is riddled with Apple news and reviews on their app for Apple watch. I seems they may be going exclusive to apple. Although apps come and go, this is a good app, there really isn't many apps that offer these recipes in an easy to use and understand form. Many people would pay to have the app. Even a vague explaination would suffice. So I have lowered my score to one star.
I love this app, it has awesome recipes and is so easy to use. I used this app to help prepare my fussy eating son for a trip to Japan, and it worked! I am sad to see this app is closing...perhaps before closing you could think of charging a few dollars for it. I would definitely pay for this app. Thanks for all of the yummy meals.
Where has this app been all my life?! So many wonderful recipies...I'm sad to see that it won't be staying around. EDIT: To the developers - thank you so much for linking me such a lovely set of resources! I will definitely be using them often. Really is one of the best cooking apps. I'm very sad that it is closing down. :( It's so easy to use and the recipes are very good and easy to follow. I also love the feature that explains terms not familar to people. I hope they come back
I switched phones even uninstalled and reinstalled it and it still says it has a network error. I loved looking through the all the recipes. I miss it sooo much!
This is the best cooking app ever. Not just good for Japanese cuisine, but cooking app in general. All cooing apps should take a page from this app. All the food here is delicious and easy to make. Best app ever.
Sad it's ending service at the end of January. I would pay to keep this app and service running. So many easy recipes and ideas for a novice that it's encouraged me to cook. The app is simple to use and well presented. Thank you for the recipes and blog post!
Please do not stop this app. Best cooking app I have tried so far. Plus points that you offer Japanese recipes - which are healthy and effective in keeping one's weight.
Best food app I've downloaded , easy to use, simple instructions, sad that the app is going to close, only had it for a short time, and I'm definitely going to miss it
I USED the app all the time and it was great!! I switched phones and I cannot seem to get it to work. Its claiming a network error. The recipes were amazing the ui was simple and clean and I wish I could use the recipes I saw (note to self wrote them done next time). Love this app so much and I wish it to keep working. Was a great app up until now. When you open it nowadays, it will welcome you with a message that basically says "sorry, this app is no longer available, see ya later. "

Used to love the app, now it crashes every single time I try to start it..
Installed it and when I opened it, the app keeps saying network error. Horrible App.
It's the best food app I've every used it's really easy to use with fast , good , toasty dishes.
Can't get it to open on my cell and it used to work just fine. App keeps claiming a network error :/ pls fix soon and I will change my rating cuz I really love this app.

I loved this app, very disappointed to find out its been cancelled so I can't use it. Could you possibly just allow it to be used offline? no other cookbook even come close

Had this on my old phone and it's such a wonderful app! Sadly switched phones and no longer works now
