I got this app back when it was first out on my iPhone 3 and was fascinated by the depth of modulation I could achieve. I was comforted that my beloved app would still be available when I made the move to android but alas it was unusable. I couldn't even select two nodes to wire them. This update has changed all that and more. A truly superb app once again thank you, I understand that programming is hard.
There used to be a forum where you could post questions but it's been removed. And the link to send an email to the developer doesn't seem to work. It's free so I can't complain too much, but I certainly wouldn't pay for it. Basically you're on your own so if you have the time to figure it out go ahead, but don't expect any support even from other users.
Slick, satisfying virtual modular synth with sampling functions, well-designed interface, and huge sonic possibilities. Frustratingly, I have had a few crashes during saves on patches and lost the work and haven't gotten OSC, Midi, external sync yet but hope that'll iron out someday with further development. Regardless, Jasuto deserves high marks for its value and scope of potential as a sound laboratory.
Jasuto is great but I have bought the app to use it with my midi keyboard (Akai professional MPK mini). All my other music apps (Caustic, Heat Synthesiser, etc.) recognize the midi input. Jasuto doesn't. While trying to enable the midi input in the system menu I get the message 'no midi device'. This is a big disappointment, but I've decided to wait and see if the problem gets solved before giving the app a bad rating.
Great modular synth, very versatile. My only problem with it is that the mic input node has not worked since forever. I've now tried it with a HTC Desire HD, a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and a Huawei Y360, but the mic node outputs no sound on any of these devices. It used to work really well before one of the first updates, so could the developer please look into this? It's pretty much the only reason I bought this app in the first place :(
Crashing all the time, dont have time to do anything. And I have pretty ok tablet so shouldnt be problem with power...
The app works perfectly even on my not-so-powerful phablet (with some glitches when the device goes to sleep and come back again). Great selection of tunes included, intuitive interface. Recommended for all electronic music enthusiasts! :)
Love this app. Exactly what i was looking for, now i just have to figure out how to harness it's power. The one problem is I can't get my Akai MPK mini to work. Works on all the other apps I have but not this one :( 5 stars if that gets fixed. ... Well it's been a few months and haven't heard anything. Is the DEV still working on this app?
I am always a sucker for a good implementation of a modular synth system and this one is intriguing. I do worry about putting any trust in it being supported considering how long it was orphaned for the iOS version. I can understand that sometimes a labor of love in such an niche market requires prioritization but you should never abandon your early adopters. Its not like you can make a million bucks writing an app like this but if you just came back once a year it would have been something! I think this was the first or second app I installed once I ditched my Windows phone for a Motorola Droid in 2010.
I could spend hours playing with this! Disappointed to find that Windows VST version is no longer available. I had hoped to be able to design scenes on my tablet for use in my DAW - hopefully this will be back for a future release. Definitely a five stars then!
i love to make custom stuff and play with the sound, this app makes it possible and fun! great thanks for removing the store and for latest version! ps. the mic input doesnt work with nexus 7 first gen? it doesnt record anything
Beautiful concept. Desperately needs a professional UI replacement, some more studio grade features and much more integration. This could be a wonderful DAW! 'The' go to DAW with a technical approach to production. HTC Desire, Samsung Galaxy SII S4 and S7 Edge.
Glad that this finally got it's much-needed update! It's always been one of my favorite android apps and now I can finally actually use it without fear of it constantly crashing. Now let's just get that dropbox integration working....
Incredibly powerful, utterly unconventional modular synth app, with an utterly unique user interface. A fantastic way to explore electronic sound synthesis.
Interface is messed up when in windowed mode on Remix OS but works fine in fullscreen mode.
I have this one for iPad as well. The most exciting/inspirational synth app for mobile devices.Love it.
A lot of fun, and very responsive on my Moto G. Would love to see full screen mode implemented for those with KitKat. That would stop me hitting the back button accidentally!
Really endless possibilities for sound creation. Looking forward to future updates.
The description is correct, this is the most powerful modular synth for android.
No idea how to use this. Wish I could get a refund!!!
Advertised as "Same as iOS", but no midi input or mic input. No support either. Abandonware.
Yep. Played with this for 4 hours...good god.😅😅
although the new update will not download: "package file was not signed correctly"
If only JMS worked in full screen mode on my Galaxy Tab 10.1.. at the moment the app is restricted to Phone screen sizes.. i.e. even on the tablet it appears as a small screen.. and is consequently unusable... just to fiddly for my small fingers. Come on Jasuto.. how about some Tablet support!
Use the Spare Parts app (search google for instructions) to get Jasuto in full screen on your tab. It is a great modular synthesizer with many features. UI is not the most intuitive and sometimes a bit complex but the sound is great. Worth every penny.
Doesn't work on Archos 5 & got no reply when I contacted author for support l. Waste of money. If it doesn' work on some platforms they should say so.
This app no longer starts on android 12
