I wish I could play it again on my newer Android

I don't think I've given any app 5 stars before, but this game deserves it. The gameplay is solid, and the controls are tight. There is a well thought out, and developed story, with music that fits superbly. Nothing is perfect, and I'm certain I could find something that wasn't right. However, all the pieces fit together to form one of the best game experiences I've had on my phone.

Amazing platformer & they give you not one but two levels to try. I cant believe these people complaining that there are only two free levels. That's generous. How can people expect something for nothing.. Games are expensive to make and every developer that makes a good game should get paid. You really want everything to be ad filled, IAP riddled, and made so its pay to win? If one is to do an IAP, THIS is the proper way to do it. Let's see you work full time just to donate your whole paycheck every week

One of the few games I can honostly say I had fun. The music was fantastic, controls are easy to work with, art was great and the story just kept me wanting more. Worth buying. Only wish I could download it to my phone. I have it on my tablet but I have to re-buy it for my phone. Bummer

This is NOT a throwaway game. It is forgiving, takes you through a touching storyline and borrows the warmth of the lovelymusic from N'awlins. The graphics are stylized (sorry haters but those are not blackfaces) but cute, the animation is buttery smooth and my phone rarely has to catch up. My FAVORITE feature is how the devs set up the credits: you navigate through them as part of their own level and it makes the experience even more organic... Almost like you're behind the scene, not just playing a game.

This is by far the best game I have played on the mobile platform. The animation is unique, the storyline is entertaining and interesting, the platforming doesn't let you sit still long enough to be bored and the fast tempo, phenomenal jazz soundtrack keeps you motivated while playing. Even the credits screen is fun to look at! I'd give five ★ but it causes my phone to overheat during play.

It is amazing that almost negative comment was concerning not the game itself, but rather the need to purchase additional levels. If they would stop just a second to read the entire description, they would know that and could then not make themselves sound like whiny idiots. By the way, great app! :-)

the art style is very pleasing and is a nice ascetic; it has this old faction cartoon style that Bulkypix manages to capture it well. As you might think Jazz: Trump's Journey music is jazz. The platforming is some of the best I have seen on smart phones. There is no slipping around and no floating. Some times there would be glitches where I would get stuck in a platform and I would have to reastart from the check point, restarting from the checkpoint is easy with a simple button so if you or the game screws up you are not stuck. That is a great feature and I am glad Bulkypix had the foresight to include it. This is a great game to thoughts who like good and well thought out puzzle platformers, the $3 dollars for the full game is well worth it.

Great story and gameplay so far. Good culture inspired story, good music, and graphics. Only thing that could be better is cheap tricks to make you do a whole level over if you want all notes. My advice take your time and explore everything right from the beginning. Btw I'm black and from Louisiana so it's pretty cool to see gaming be more culturally inspired with all backgrounds and history.

Not only did this game challenged my reflexes and platforming skills, this has also challenged my views on smartphone gaming (longtime staunch console and PC gamer since his first NES back in '90). 3 bucks WELL SPENT.

A very polished game that seems to come out of nowhere. Seriously the art style is great and the controls are surprisingly tight for a mobile game. I have no idea how this game slipped under my radar for so long good stuff, 5/5

Every time I stop a game in between, level starts all over again... And there is no way of skipping through all Da talking at Da beginning and within game play.... So basically I'll have to wait so long each time I play... even after knowing the content of it...

So far it has been a great game. However, I can't get past the part where I meet the first band member. Everytime I try to continue the story I end up having to go back to the very beginning and that is very frustrating.

I am happy that there is finally something different on the android market! They give you 2 free levels with no ads and then you buy the rest for 2.99, not bad. I'm going to buy it right now. Such an original story with a great plot. I'm stoked to finish the game!

Was pretty fun on my GS3, but will not run on my G-slate. Just comes up a blank screen, and when I tap the screen it exits back to my home screen. Please fix, or advise how to make it run on tablet. Will rate higher if I can play on tablet.

It's a fun little platforming game with great music. I would have loved to play more of it, but apparently the developers no longer pay attention to it and it's not compatible with my nexus 6.

Adr. C. Jun 4, 2013

It's brilliant! I'm getting on a bit and I used to love all the 2d platform games. This is a beautifully designed one with fantastic upbeat jazz music to boot. Well worth the meagre amount I had to pay for the rest of the game.

Dem. B. Jul 13, 2013

This is a fun game. Easy interface and cool concept. I like it, but maybe it's just me... how do I save where I left off? I keep having to start from the beginning. The story line is a bit annoying to me. It takes too much of the time reading and pausing the play. I'd rather just play, that is the most exciting part of this game.

Pet. R. Apr 12, 2013

The game is fun and has good graphics but only getting to play two levels in the free version is kind of a let down.

Sid. R. Jul 31, 2016

Looks like a nice game, but the developers don't care about it anymore. The game crashes when opening in Android 6.

Sim. C. Feb 24, 2015

Apparently uses outdated billing system so can't purchase extra levels even if you want to!! EDIT: was willing to pay for full but publishers haven't responded to this review or my email. One star.

Tif. 5. Feb 21, 2013

I like it but shouldnt it be more longer than 3 hours to be worth $3. Come on now whats up

Gar. S. Feb 10, 2015

Opens briefly before minimising itself on both Nexus 5 & Nexus 9. Presumed compatibility issues on Android 5+

Kur. K. Apr 10, 2013

The game takes away control far too often and you can't skip the cut scenes. Very annoying and makes it unplayable for me.

Mar. B. Dec 24, 2014

I loved this game on my old phone and bought the full game. Unfortunately on my Oneplus One, it doesn't scale properly and after defeating the first level, it freezes and lingers on my home screen after I manually close it.

Mit. W. Nov 19, 2013

If people are complaining about a measly 40mb of space, you're either using a phone with like 100mb of internal space, or you're an idiot. Thank you for the experience devs.

Den. S. Jan 20, 2013

Got to level 2 click on level 3 can't get to it REALLY waste my time then it had ask me to buy the other levels
