JBL Connect

Does not connect to xtreme 2 anymore. Been over a year and the app does not find my speaker anymore. So disappointed in jbl. Poor customer service and product support. Talked to supposedly tech support many times without any help. Love the speaker and is working so that could be a plus anyway. But if I want a party mode with my other speakers its not happening. Junk app. Don't expect much if you need help.

I stopped using the app for many months because it simply didn't work most of the time, and when it did it was after much frustration that wasn't worth it. The colors on the color picker were dull and many didn't seem to match the color you had picked. That is, until the current update. It's still pretty awful trying to connect, but hey at least now the UI looks cleaner and the color wheel is a bit more responsive! Kinda.

Its unnecessarily complicated to connect and update the speakers. Or change the very limited range of options for each device. In the end. It does get the job done. But I keep it disabled or deleted in between updates. As it serves no other useful purpose.

This app was never able to connect to my Flip 4. The previous app wasn't able to either. My phone does connect to the speaker to play music, I just can't upgrade the firmware. I was hoping a firmware upgrade would enable the speakers to connect to my Sony Android TV and other devices that have not been able to pair with the speaker. Tech support was unable to help.

Basic but functional. Would like to be able to adjust mid range & possibly use/save preset configurations. Also not impressed with the time taken to connect to the speaker each time you want to use the app. Feels like I'm using software from the 90's & Bluetooth 1.2 from 2003.

Works OK for me, connected to my Charge 5 without issue (using a galaxy A52 4G) and was able to update my firmware to access the EQ functionality with ease. My only complaint is that the battery life indicator doesn't seem to work properly, it shows a completely full bar despite having played music for hours since my previous charge. Thing is, I think the stock settings sound better than any EQ I've managed to get out of it, so I'll probably end up uninstalling this. YMMV

This app is actually an extension for JBL mobile speakers. Meaning the app doesn't have any functionality other than checking the battery life of the device and adjusting the EQ. It takes too much time to connect my speaker, pushing a update to my speaker takes longer than I've ever anticipated. My thoughts are if you really need aforementioned functionalities I think this app is the only option.

Hi, I would like you to add few more options in this app since currently I am using this app to add another device which is superb. But the APP can be of more use if you could add few more controls for adjusting " Bass, Treble, etc." And giving much dynamic sound experiences.

Pointless app, no functionality at all. No remaining battery indicator, no equaliser. Mostly just an error connecting to speaker, something which your phone can do without the need for an app. Don't waste your time, at least not for the jbl xtreme3. There's nothing here for you except wasted phone space.

Great app. If it worked every time. It doesn't. I end up having to close the app four or five times and then I have to connect and disconnect from my pair of speakers for JBL connect to work correctly. It takes like four songs to get it to play in stereo. Garbage.

Absolutely garbage. Will not sync two jbl charge 4's for longer then 5 minutes without the app crashing. Rebooting everything multiple times I managed to get into sterio mode. For about 40 seconds before crashing again. Do not use this app. Do not support their products with horrid support.. thanks for the 150usd paperweights Edit. App still trash

Useless apps. Couldn't find my flip 5 which I just bought and it is sitting beside phone for 1hour trying to connect and it's not playing any song at all. Hey JBL, is it my phone and flip 5 are too close to each other, that's why the stupid apps couldn't find the speaker??? Too bad there are no 0 star. The speaker is great but the apps is utter rubbish. Until JBL fixed the issue, it will remain as a 1 star. Which I don't think they will fix it though

I'm improving the score to 3 stars. I use this with a pair of Flip 4's. Previous versions sometimes were very slow to recognize that two speakers were linked But recent updates are much better at this, and can fairly quickly recognize both speakers so I can use party or stereo modes. Keep it working well and I'll bump up the rating again soon.

I was very disappointed to discover that party boost does not work while connected to PC. So there is no stereo sound from the pc. I used to be able to do it with the Charge 4 until I upgraded to Charge 5. I wish I had never bought these speakers.

The app is useless, it struggles to connect to the speakers, missing crutial functions like equilizer, volume controls, battery percentage (only the bar is shown) etc. It is only good for pairing two speakers for stereo sound, nothing more

Latest software update for both my Charge 5 speakers (not the latest app update!) made it impossible to connect them to the Pc in stereo through party boost which was working before updating to 0.8.2.0 . Please make partyboost work with PC's and Macs again! 1 star until functionality is restored

Don't do the update! My speaker worked fine until I did the update which I normally do but 3.0 jacked it up! Now music from any source rapidly skips through like its not receiving it properly! Contacted JBL customer service and waiting on a reply.

Some serious fixing is required, it took me months to be able to figure out how to get this app to work with my speakers, i think its crazy how i cant put my speakers in stereo mode without this app.... for a high quality brand youd think they would be on top of stuff like that.. i spoke to support to try nd fix my problems and i ended up giving them extra tips on how to work this app on my phone... customer service was fine dont get me wrong but this app is just all around a bad experience...

Overall good idea to be able to update your speaker with the app. Would be cool to be able to configure the ligts of the speaker. like the low battery ligth is blinking way to fast. A light glow that slowly turns on and off would be enough.

The ap doesn't have much I have found to use. The equalizer very limited on adjustments, that is my biggest problem so far. I do very much like the speaker (charg 5) and the battery is lasting quite a long time.

Unfortunate lack of features for my JBL Pulse 3 speakers. Can't set them not to light up by default (useless battery waste during daytime and have to manually switch it off every time) and no way to actually get pure yellow on the LEDs, so the campfire is an unappealing greenish yellow.

Wanted to update my Charge 3 firmware, but the app just disconnects and throws you back to the menu when it tries to transfer. Tested on multiple phones. No error codes or anything. Impossible to troubleshoot.

I just bought a brand new Jbl xtreme 3 speaker and it connects to my phone via Bluetooth without any issues but when I try to access the dashboard via the JBL Portable app it never connects only gives me an error like Sorry, we are not able to connect speaker to app. And 4 tb steps that I have tried more than a few times! This is rubbish considering the price of the speaker... Also factory resteted the speaker did not work... Out of the box and disappointed immediately....

The connect plus uncompatibility with connect is the most dumb thing. It does not benefit the company in any way as it doesn't make me want to buy another newer speaker after buying one to pair with an older one I have. I'm going to take it back and get my money back and not deal with this bs. High quality speakers but low quality ideas.

I'd give it five stars if the following was possible...... 1. Adjustable EQ in stereo mode. 2. Quicker Party Up as its a bit buggy. 3. Remote power on and off. 4. An auto sleep option. 5. Auto wake and alarm mode.
