As others have said, you need to constantly forget, delete, and re-pair the Bluetooth became the app said it won't connect. Even while playing Bluetooth audio from your phone... -_- The app has promise if the connection issue can be fixed. Please fix it. These stereos are included equipment on campers and the app is an advertised feature. The least you can do as a companies make sure it works.
I was skeptical about this app, and concerned about installing a Jensen marine stereo for my pool area. I took a chance because the stereo had all of the features I wanted. I have a Jensen MS3A, and I had no issues at all pairing. The app does everything I expect it to and is easy to operate.I use it with an Samsung S8, and when first installed, I had the issue others have reported, with the bottom row of buttons being half covered up. I opened a support case and the app was updated very quickly
I've been using this for over a year now. It works well sometimes it won't connect and you have to power off the stereo and I mean power off "fuse" I have had to delete my phone bluetooth on the stereo twice now and re sync them. But that maybe improved with an update,IF THEY EVER MAKE ONE! :-)
ASA Electronics/App Mgr....Can the interface conflict be resolved with the app screen sizing on (certain) cell phones? It's very difficult to utilize your app when I can't tap buttons that are at bottom of screen, but off the screen. They're not responsive & the functionality of app is lost. Thanks-
Doesn't work good on Android 9 with August security update. ZTE axon 10 pro. Have to repair every time i want to use the app. Says it cannot find tbe device yet i am already connected and streaming music via a another app. Have to go bcak inside to change volume or hit pair button for the app to work once. Then next time have to start from scratch again. JWM10A
Minimal effort put in to the design and functionality of the app and the head units. Bluetooth connectivity is nearly useless. Worked ok the very first time, but hasn't worked since. I did, however, find a great fix for this issue - I bought and installed a Furrion system.
Sure beats using the remote that came with the system. Can only connect to one cellphone at a time. If the app doesn't connect, forget the Bluetooth connection in your phone and re-pair your phone with the stereo.
When it works it's very handy. Problem is that it doesn't connect on Bluetooth very often. Usually you have to go down to the audio unit and turn Bluetooth off and back on. Then hope it stays connected.
i just got a camper that has a jensen radio. i can only hit play/pause and skip forward back. the lower three buttons are just barely showing at the bottom of the screen and they don't react to input.
Went back and forth about downloading due to some negative reviews. Hate the remote that came with our RV and having to get up and walk to player to change anything. The app has worked perfectly for us.
Worked when app first installed and paired. Installed on 2 Android devices. Neither unit will connect. Pair the units and they work. Set it down for awhile and then try to use and must be repaired. App is a waste.
Horrible app. Does not work right. Can't even see the display properly on the phone and cannot press certain bottoms because they go off the screen. Very badly done.
Worked once. Now i get no bluetooth signal when scanning with S8 from a 2 week old head unit. Have done reset many times, tried disconnecting and repowering, turning BT on and off, reloading app etc. Junk!
I have problems with bluetooth connections. The app tries and does connect, but the connection seems unstable. If the connection fails it may not reconnect or pair correctly.
Straight dog water no updates or support whatsoever i have 2 head units in my 2021 rv that always connected despite the unresponsive app then when they didnt connect i unpaired and they refuse to pair back up
Streams music great but won't connect to control the radio. Previous software version worked great. This can't be this difficult..
When I open the app it starts and then it goes off to the front page that says Jensen again and it keeps doing that so I have never even seen the controls
JControl app is unusable on Pixel 3XL with Android 10. It doesn't resize from what looks to be a tablet interface so you can't actually see/use any controls.
This worked for a while but now, even though my phone says I'm connected to my Jensen JMW6A none of the controls in the app work. I've tried reinstalling the app, deleting the Bluetooth connection and still nothing. Help??
How can you rate it if you can't get it to connect? I've tried both the phone and tablet apps. Phone apps sometimes works. Tablet? Not yet!
This app use to work very well but with latest update most of the controls are gone. What are left at bottom you cannot use. Thanks for an update..
Lately the app has been crashing. Not sure what the issue is. I deleted it then re installed it
Worked eventually but had to hard reset by unplugging and plugging back in... then connected.
Its Furrion time and will not look back. This doesn't surprise me with most people having issues with this company. I have used there systems off and on over the years with the same result of disappointment.
JUNK! Installed on a Pixel 3 and you can't get to all the controls because the display doesn't fit the screen.
Once paired it works with my JWM70A; but I have to delete the old connection and re-pair it every time I want to connect. Not very useful as a remote when you have to get up and push buttons on the base station whenever you want to use it. Only one device can be connected at a time; so my wife and I can't both control settings. The interface is less than intuitive. (On further inspection, all the buttons are relavant.) There's very little documentation and it appears to be out of date. I'm going back to the perfectly serviceable remote. Pixel 3XL and Pixel 2. 9/3/2018 - Still practically useless. Still have to re-pair my device every time I want to connect. I think I'll replace the Jensen with a chromebox -- so I can use Android apps and download media for offline use.
