This app isn't user friendly. When I make payments or purchases there's always a problem. A double bill or unprocessed something. It's frustrating because you're never able to get ahold of anyone to discuss your issue. I'm frustrated and tired of trying to use this app.
They either can't scan coupons at the cashier spot or don't no what they're doing, twice I've tried purchasing something and they stated the coupon wasn't good or out dated and they can clearly see it was ok, if my coupon wasn't good then how could the lady behind me use it for her items with no problems at all. I'm hoping it wasn't because I'm black and the other customer was white, she wA going to give me one of hers, but the cashier stated to her, you can't do that here.
The most recent update on the app is not user friendly at all. Now when shopping online, the website spends way too long buffering between searches or locks up. Put it back like it was before please. I'll start doing my online shopping elsewhere just to not deal with the frustration.
Can't apply rewards coupon to cart. Can't log into credit center to pay my bill. I can change the password, but when you try to log in it says it can't log you in. The last update was awful. PLEASE FIX THIS BEFORE I GET A LATE PAYMENT CHARGE.
This new app is awful there is very little space to view products. There is too much space for filters and if it wasnt for the touch screen i couldnt get to all the sizes. It tries to put too much info on the screen at all times and is hard to figure out . Hate it, will not use this app again , I am uninstalling it now!
It is a basic app. I have a suggestion for the app: •When you scan an item's barcode to price check with the app it would be convenient to include a online link to the product that you scanned. Sometimes a store doesn't have the size or color of a certain product that a customer wants and being allowed a convenient feature like this opens up more freedom for the customer to make a purchase. • If interested in improvements look at Target's app for inspiration. Theirs is relatively user-friendly.
The app is actually very good. The problem is that on every occasion that I shop in-store, no one knows how to use the wallet, so I end up having to grab the individual coupons or rewards and then present the card or SSN to use the JCPenney card. I've only encountered 1 cashier over the past year who knew how to use the wallet. Seems like some good work on functionality has gone to waste by not training cashiers on how the app works with their in-store registers
Absolutely LOVE to shop at Penney's! This is MY FAVORITE SHOPPING PLACE!!! I miss our local store SO MUCH! I still shop online, but it's difficult when you have to return something. Please don't take away the Men's Stafford shirt selection.. awesome, comfortable with easy care! Thank you for the discounts...it helps us older people to be able to buy quality products! Because this app wouldn't allow me to use my own password , one I never forget and use on all my other accounts, I can never sign in to my account. I'm the one that suffers if I get hacked, it should be my choice. Instead of just signing on and buying stuff and getting on with my life I have to wait for them to send me a email and do this and that . Usually I just get so passed off I close the app and go to the closest store 🙃 .
It was very informative thank you so much can't purchase at this moment you see we just got into our new house give me some time liked what I have seen. The browsing was realy clear easy to understand some of these sites can be a bit confusing this one more simple and to the point. Donna
They drop your available amount at the drop of a dime. I made a payment a week and a half early when I got paid and they said I didn't make a payment. They said they would note it was a misunderstanding on my part and that payment went to the principal because I made the payment too early so I had to pay a late fee and another payment then dropped my credit line. This bank needs serious help.
Just updated the app (3/27/22), and now the app is totally nonfunctional. Even uninstalled and reinstalled. Cannot browse or search at all. Turns out, JCPENNEY app and website wont work if I'm using a VPN. Guess I'll shop elsewhere. Previous review: Used to be great, then something happened. Used to be able to sign in with fingerprint, now it makes me sign in EVERY TIME! Very annoying. Also, app indicated that I had placed an order, then the next day, the order vanished. ????
Ordered to pick up at store. Got 2 separate emails ...1 said ordered was cancelled and the 2nd one said order ready to pickup. Order was returned AFTER I spoke with customer service and was told I had until the 23rd. Half order was in stock but showed differently on website. First time using this option but won't again!
This app does not follow through with sending confirmation on orders via email to me, nor is there a place to go to check my orders that work. I placed an order, and it is nowhere to be found. I've tried to activate my rewards but receive no emails to complete the process.
Newest update is terrible. You can't see the full product name on any page until you check your cart, the add item to cart button is just red, no words showing and you can't zoom in to see product pictures better even on areas where it shows to zoom. Didn't spend much more of my time to find additional errors. Waste of my time.
Like the store. . . hate the app. Slow, crashes, confusing, not built intuitively. I could go on but I think that's enough.
App stopped loading up and when it finally loaded after me closing and opening it a bunch of times everything takes forever to load and this just started happening recently. Before everything worked just fine and now it doesn't.
I have 1 month waiting for a response on where are my orders. The have given me all the diferentes excuses on this issue. But no one has done nothing. One order says ready for pick up. I went to the store and it's not there. They said that it was probably a mistake from ups. That order was ready for pick up according to the website on April 4th 2022. Today is May 13 and still waiting for a response. The other order says in transit to store since April 15th. And they can't do nothing right now.
When I first got this app I wasn't too sure about it. I had a difficult time trying to login and find out about my account but I got everything straightened out. Basically I normally use my credit card in the beauty salon. However sometimes I find things and sometimes I can't but being around for 120 years they must be doing something right
They last a prolonged time in updating your e-mails, passwords, & a way to pay off your monthly payments. I set up the application & I haven't be able to do payments throu the same one.
Cannot schedule auto pay. Cannot see history, 2 different apps. Different user names and passwords confusing, cannot change my phone number with out it being a difficult ...definitely not with the technology of today..
I have read where others are having issues with the app. I never experienced any problems. But, that doesn't mean customers haven't experienced them. I hope this update doesn't ruin my experience. Keep your fingers crossed! Good look JCP! My son is now 20. He and his friends are athletes and have started shopping at JCPenney for their hard to find sizes.
JCPENNEY has survived a shitstorm with COVID-19 and closings and it's purchase of K-Mart stores! And yet it still stands strong! A family staple for a lifetime of years! Fair pricing, good selections and the online deals coupled with so many optional coupons keeps me going back! And with my new Grandson in the homefront, I wouldnt spend my money for the same products, same name brands you would pay a fortune for elsewhere!! Customer service ladies rock the Mgtn. store, always so helpful!
The app showed me several different coupons, but not the same as I recieved in my email or usps mail. I did not get the best possible coupon on my purchase.
App is easy to use, coupons are applied instantly, easy pickup with free shipping to my local store, and prices are great!
Sometimes difficult and frustrating to use. Problems with continuing to shop once you go to shopping cart or view different items
Very easy to view your card accounts, check your balance and schedule your payments. It's also easy to shop for and purchase items.
Does what it says on the tin! App is easy to use and offers useful search parameters. I have never wanted to fling my phone across the room while using this app to shop. Yes, this is worth mentioning, given how terrible many other store apps are. My one gripe is that returns through the app are buggy. This isn't a make-or-break issue because I can always return to a store and there's no confusion like with some other stores.
