Meditation is a common practice to slow down and to connect with ourselves. Many people don't know that meditation has a long Christian tradition. The so called desert fathers were men and women who left the cities to find God in the silence of the desert. Monks had their own meditation tradition as well. When we read in the Bible we discover that God himself calls us to meditate on his words. It's not so much about cognitive understanding but more about understanding with the heart and the whole being.
At Jesus Words Meditation we focus on the teachings of Jesus because we believe that they have power to change our lives and to give us a new perspective. There is so much to explore about Jesus and about this very special relationship to God as a father.
The verses we use in the meditations are from the „World English Bible“. This is a public domain translation.

I have an android phone and I tried to launch the app but it keeps stopping. I uninstalled and reinstalled it, but the same thing keeps happening: the title page pops up, says checking for updates, updates, then disappears without opening. I like the app and want to use it more often, but it's presently impossible. Needs an update or something. I had to uninstall it again, unable to use it.
The sounds that you use are too harsh and loud. These sounds should be softer and lower. Maybe a countdown timer for relaxation, then start the reading with the voice soft and soothing.
This app is exactly what I was looking for. The voice of the narrator is so interesting and tranquil, and the slow reading allows for God's words to penetrate and sink in. Also so thankful that this service is provided for free. Only one problem, that I see others are also experiencing: my meditation also stops mid way despite changing permissions/settings on my phone. But again, nonetheless, I say thank you :)
It's a beautifully thought out app and the meditations are very nice. I have to say that it does require improvement because on my phone I can't see a pouse and play button. The app has a really good potential and it would be a win if it would be updated.
This free app is incredible. I use it every morning to begin my day. If you find it difficult to meditate on your own, this tool will help greatly. I love being able to choose the length of time, single or group, and the background sounds (I always go for Flute as it sounds Native American.) Thank you so very, very much for all of the effort, time and love you put into this, and for the continuing additions, please don't ever go away - you are helping me so much with this service.
I like the application. So far my experience has been great except for today when it would just stop in the middle of the meditation... maybe I need an updated version...all in all it's a good app especially for beginners in meditation practice.
I didnt realise this was a was a beta version so I have edited my review. I've always loved this app I had it first on my ipad and then on android. On the new version the lady is speaking a bit more softly than she used to and it's hard to hear what she is saying when you play the waves, also the new gong sound makes me jump now when I'm meditating. Overall this is such a great app and I am sure it will be 5 stars again after a few adjustments. Thank you for taking our feedback so graciously.
I am visually impaired the screen reader I use which is called talkback is not compatible I have to get somebody else to read it to me please may you make it compatible so blind and vision impaired people can actually access it other than that it's great thank you.
I love this app. The speaker's voice is wonderful and I I like the way she repeats each line of a scripture slowly and twice so that I can meditate upon its meaning. I also like that I can choose how long I want to meditate.
Hi, just would like to highlight a human error in the title Resting versus Working where you have quoted a verse with regards on Martha and Mary. The verse you printed in Yr app was John 10:38-41 which is not abt Martha and Mary. The correct verse for that is Luke 10:38-42. Other then that kudos for a job well done on the apps. This is just wonderful. It isn't only relaxing, calming, destressing.. It's Christ centered and really grounds us back to who we are in Christ. You can adjust the meditation times and you can adjust the background ambience aswell. It's also good for group meditations. Like I said, It's wonderful.

I absolutely love this app. It really helps to deepen my understanding of scripture. I think it’ll be great if you add more or even all of Words of Christ on this app. Every believer should have this.

This has quickly become my go to choice when I need to slow down. It's a great way to wind down after a stressful day, and equally fantastic resource to rise. The words of Christ offer tremendous peace and enhanced stillness.
I LOVE THIS APP! However lately it cuts off in the middle of the meditation. I've uninstalled and installed and the problem continues. Is there a glitch in it now? I dont know but I love it and I want it to work so bad. Please fix it
Very peaceful & relaxing! The meditations help me remember scripture & ease my mind. I like the way they draw my focus to Gods word in a way that inspires me to think about what I just heard!
I love this app... great way to get into the words of Jesus and get them into you. I have so much peace and joy and clarity of mind and enlightenment when I use these meditations. I am so much closer to God.
This app was great until recently; I think it switched to another company or something. Now it's not even opening. Truly disappointed in this change. I've uninstalled the app, but I'd be interested in being a beta tester to make it better.
You're back! I'm so happy that this app is working again! It's an old friend that has brought comfort and encouragement through many long sleepless nights. Can't recommend enough for bringing the peace of God's presence into your life.
This app was not working properly, always showing checking update, please make correction in its working, we need this app, because may be it is good app for use make it correct as soon as possible, it's our humble request

I love the app, however I would agree with another review that the voice is difficult to understand. It can, and should be soft, however it sounds like the voice was recorder on poor quality audio. It would be a nice feature to be able to schedule notifications to have the app remind us to use it. Just a thought. Thank you for continuing to provide such a wonderful app.
