Once you get the logic this is a versatile tool for casual use of finding generic and affordable bluetooth tags but also for the more advanced cuatom automations one could be setting up at home. Cool thank you very much. -edit: I noticed that in comparison to others, this app is rather slow or unresponsive when one clicks the alarm to locate the tag. I thought it was the tags at first but other app looks more responsive. I also cannot seem to get the snapshot camera trigger to work.
App is a good idea but because of it's overly heavy reliance on ads it's completly unusable. For instance, first run makes you swipe through like 50 pages of worthless instructions only to display an ad you can't get rid of. You have to close the app and then figure out that you have to use the notification that appears to actually get into the app. Granted, this may be in the "worthless" instructions but after the 5th page of it telling me where to buy iTags I just gave up.
Biggest waste of time and space. I paid for the Pro version it never connects to the iTag receiver. I removed it immediately. I pay for the Pro versions out of the box so I never have to deal with any ads. so I do not find out if I like an application or not using a free versions because 9 times out of 10 adds are what kill liking an application in the first place.
Looking for an app that leads you to your Bluetooth device. Something to point the way to it. Every app I've tried is to vague. This flickers from. 0.2m to 3m with Bluetooth key ring Next to phone when in next room it doesn't pick it up at all. Shame. Looks good but not precise enough to locate lost keys down a sofa or in the dogs belly or in the oven.
Worst app ever installed. Excessive permissions, extreme false distance report, advertisings, not doing the simple job supposed to do. I am so sorry Julien, I wished to change my review but... I got new S10+ and install again your program. Still wrong distances reported but main problem persist: cannot reliable connect to itag and do main purpose of the device, ring it to find the lost object.
I so wanted to like this app, and was already preparing to buy the pro version to support someone putting an app out in such a way, but in the absence of any clear, foolproof, accessible instructions on setting up, that don't presume the user understands and is familiar with UDP, MQQT, IFTTT etc, I am deleting, tried watching the developer's videos, no help, I am quite technically minded and have certainly never struggled like this with something i assume is pretty basic, so a FAIL. 👎
I think it's a great app that enhances the usability of a rather simple device. However, am I right in thinking that this only captures the turn-on event and it does not the button-clicked event? If my understanding is correct, why the limitation?
Great idea, not perfect implementation. Application doesn't run properly in background and can't send proper notification with sound, just an icon appears in a tray, which is not enough and always too late
Since sms is no longer allowed by google that sux. I'm still working out the options I can use this for finding lost items within the range. I agree the plastic chinese trackers are junk. I've downloaded much worse apps than this one.
Brilliant. The interface could be modernised but I'd rather have an ugly looking app that does a great job than a pretty app which is glitchy (iTag.One) Thank you. What a great idea!
Trash app amd device. I'm going online to buy try the tile device instead. It's a little more expensive but at least I know it will work. This app wants access to my photos and camera...for what? It wont function with or without the permission anyways. Trash!
Hi... on samsung galaxy s9 Note Neither of 2 tags pair. They are visible in normal bluetooth list but wont add. Running your app does nothing. It may be a cheap tag or incompatibility issue. Just so you are aware. Same result with other similar apps.
I just bought this device to click photos on my phone while the phone being on a tripod. I still don't know exactly how to click photos with it via Bluetooth. I'm readily willing to give 5 stars if someone explains me how to use it as a Bluetooth shutter for mobile camera app.
Totally Useless App. Doesn't help locate or pinpoint the position of the iTag. Doesn't sound an alarm on losing the iTag. Is unable to start the beep even. Don't install.
Tried this app to alert me when my phone has been taken away from the tag (e.g. phone stolen). Tag does nothing when phone is away and then only beeps when the app is opened and I'm back to within 2-3m of the tag. Tried two different tags from same Chinese manufacturer and same issue. Also app randomly won't detect either tag for long periods at 1m away once it's lost contact initially
If you live DIY, this is for you! ...Offers a variety of options in a broad range of uses. It is not simple, but it is user customizable. It is, impressive.
Instructions are very difficult to understand. May I recommend you make a video of the intended functions of your app as well as how to setup correctly. I'll consider rating higher once this occurs..... Also would be nice to have dark mode theme.
Great app but not perfect; iTags usually lose connection for short time and this app notifies those "false alarms". It would be great if it could be configured by the user to notify only when disconnection happens for X seconds. IFTTT, Automate , UDP and MQTT bring great flexibility to automate other things for your own; it would be better if this app wouldn't notify short disconnections. Definitely this app shows it's good enough to pay for the pro version (I tested a few minutes and bought pro)
