Jiffy

App was good to use until the job was done. However they have the credit card system set up it caused nothing but issues. I keyed in my card multiple times after getting emails that it did not go through. I called my bank and it was fine on that end. Talking with Jiffy support I get blamed that I was inputting the card incorrectly. I was meticulous in keying in the card number. Everything was what it should be. They are not willing to look into it through their vendor, they rather shift blame.

Great service. I just put a job out there and professionals come to me. Billing is handled automatically. The app is a bit overcomplicated, it tries to micromanage the transaction too much imo.

Bad experience. Tried this to book a roofing repair after storm damage. Was scheduled to arrive Sunday. He postponed saying sometime Monday or Tuesday. I agreed noting i wouldn't be around, but was told that was ok. On Monday i got a string of texts from the guy saying he was on his way and wanted more money before he got there. The next saying i had 10 min to reply or they go to the next job. The next one saying my job was cancelled. Jerks. Deleting the app and sticking to local businesses.

I couldn't be more grateful I found this app!! Trying to source different contractors for different jobs around the house is a nightmare. These services are so slow to respond, not upfront about costs and take forever to send someone for the job. I've been and to get connected to an amazing electrician and handyman in seconds, the app lets you chat with the contractors, schedule, see progress in real time and payments are processed in the app. Highly recommend!!

Needed repair then found out this is same App advertised on AM talk radio CFRA580 Ottawa. A fakenews station. Sad, will NEVER EVER USE THIS APP. IF THEY ADVERTISE ON A #WOKE STATION. YOU CAN NEVER TRUST THEM. THEY WILL LIE + CHEAT YOU TOO!

Jiffy, your sign-in is no longer working. I cannot sign in to app - have uninstalled and reinstalled etc. The Log In button no longer works Please fix your app to allow sign-in. You are probably losing major revenue...

Check they work in your city. I payed for my membership fee only to find out nobody would take my jobs... Pretty brutal. They should really be able to tell you if it works in your area before you pay.

I fricken love this app. I've never been so relaxed when realizing I have something that needs fixed in my condo. Jiffy and Spotify are the only two apps I refuse to delete from my phone 😎👌

my first time using this app went very well. The handyman was experienced and pleasant, and completed the work quickly at a very reasonable cost. The app was able to match me with the handyman, facilitate communication, and complete the payment seamlessly. The cost was reasonable and the quality of work excellent.

Booked a job that was offered by Jiffy, they gave me a 12 hour window and then never showed up or responded to any of my messages. Bad app and worse service.

Used this App twice. Once for an Electrician and another for a Plumber. Both experiences were excellent! Both times I was contacted immediately and help was on the way the same day in one case and next day for the other. No surprises with the billing, rates were very reasonable. Wish I new about this app sooner, would have saved me alot of time and headaches!

The biggest scammers out there. They charged my credit card without my consent. No wonder no one uses you

Deadbeats! First they cancel the person coming, then they cancel the job entirely, then they remove the service (snow removal) from their app altogether. And you can't contact them because of annoying popups that only allow you to book a job and won't let you access the rest of the app.

Booked my first job earlier this week, and it couldn't have been easier. I needed a locksmith, and one contacted me almost right away, and the job was done quickly, and most importantly... done professionally. Great service, great app, and would definitely recommend!

Service is fantastic!! App has turned to garbage.. I've booked a few small projects through the app on my s10+ and have been satisfied. Changed phones to the latest s21 and app has become unusable. It took forever to book my latest job between app crashes and now I'm having difficulty paying the guy..

Jiffy is good for small, uncritical tasks like installing a light fixture or patching a drywall. However, for anything important or time sensitive, look elsewhere. This is an app - their accountability ends at a text message. I mistakenly used their services to schedule a move. The movers showed up with a pickup truck and a U-Haul trailer. I was able to call on family, but I can imagine others would be stuck because they relied on an app. There was zero empathy and accountability. Beware!

Getting a professional installer was easy and hassle-free. The app was easy to use. Payments and scheduling was a breeze. I received a job response immediately and was able to communicate further details on the work required with the potential installer. I will definitely use this app again.

I hate this app, it needs my credit card information. Hell no. It should really be using paypal. Also sends annoying messages. Looks messy with a silly map in the centre that does nothing to add value and gets in the way or finding a proper quote at a fair price., It is taking up more than half the screen. Cacelling a job is difficult, it gives errors when trying to access whatsapp - it does not need to use whatsapp. I am deleting the app. I would have had a contractor by now.

First time to use the app. Incredibly easy. I was looking around on it and was unsure what my job fell under, so I put it up to look at later. Then I get a text from "Jenny from Jiffy." She asked if she could help, and gave me exactly the information I needed (and I hadn't asked anything on the app). Service is way above and beyond. Plus the service provider they sent was top notch! I'll definitely be using again. It's my go-to for home needs now!

Terrible customer service. I'm a long time user who has spent thousands of dollars with them. I was promised a warranty job and now I cant get in touch with any customer service people through email or in the app. My messages are gone and my account has been cleared twice! I cant access my old reciepts! I have no idea what's happening, my emails are going unanswered and there is no one to call. Stay away!

If you like to gamble this is the place for you! The "pros" are a hit or miss. I had a great experience with an appliance install and a horrible experience with a handyman that created more damage than before he was hired. The 100% customer satisfaction is a scam as the end result for the handyman experience was "Unfortunately, this is out of our Pro's scope. We have spoken to a few of our top pros and none are able to help." If this was the case why did they send someone in the first place 🙄

I selected a basic eaves trout repair service. Selected the 3 dates I am available. They app matched me to "a vetted professional" who said he is not available to come. Then I received a random text from an employee of the app who wanted to follow up on how the service went. I told them it's been a week and no one came by to quote the job. The employee was shocked and said they will get back to me. 2 weeks later, still nothing. I just went on Kijiji and found a company within minutes and fix it.

Awful experience!!! Pros are very incompetent dont do the jobs fully. I was supposed to get a deap clean they had to come twice to do 2 floors. First time they didn't even go upstairs then the second time they still didn't clean properly. I had to whip behind my toilet and other places.

Ads made it seam that this was a quick and easy way to book a pro. I don't think they have enough Pros. They do send a lot of emails with ads while you wait. This service is not for me.

Not sure how they can make this app, and service, any better or easier. Literally, within 5 minutes I had submitted my requirements and had a confirmation from the service professional.

The App is fairly easy to use. Does present some challenges but not bad overall. The service people are quite nice and have always done the job well. At least that's my personal experience.

Trust me when I say do not use this app. You are much better off googling the trade you need and cold calling the first name/company that come up. Because your service request is billable the moment your trades person/handy person shows up, I got charged $135 to have an electrician show up to my house and tell me the work wasn't possible due to some missing hardware and leave 10 minutes later not having done any work. I do not reccomend

So far, for nearly every job I checked prices for, such as hiring a plumber, it was more expensive than finding one on Kijiji. I am talking about licensed plumbers here, too, and quality ones! I will keep checking and will keep it installed, but it is not attractive for hiring professional help. Update: Yep, electrician was more expensive too.

Finding a good pro with reasonable pricing is next to impossible. I've tried for 4 different jobs and over had one done successfully through this app. The rest blew me off or provided $6-7K quotes for 3-4 back steps out of the house. Trust, this app is a gamble and not worth the time.
