Great app, tons of exercises. There's a lot of knowledge in this app, the only downfall I can think of is when you select your days to workout and you end up working out ahead of time; it would be better if you could move a workout day around. It would be awesome if you could replace certain exercises within the selected workout and possibly add notes

Time to update this thing! Favorite part is how you can choose a program and select days and it will auto-populate on your calendar, plus the description and videos/images. Recently I've found that a lot of the images are oriented incorrectly and descriptions are missing. This should be fixed. Addition of a time zone (or ability to read the phone's time) is needed for the scheduler, and an optional timer in between logged sets would be tremendous.

Great app. Easy to use and has tons of great information. Small complaints are: I wish you could log other exercises into the pre-made workouts. Also, maybe I'm not seeing it, but I would really appreciate a complete bodyweight workout. The how to images and videos are really helpful but there are several movements that don't have them. Those that do have images are fine, but I find the videos help better. All in all though great app. Worth the money.

Great app. Functionality is a little weird sometimes. Like when you save sets, it gets a little jumpy. Also when you add workouts to the calendar, you have to go to the next month and then back in order to get the daily workouts to load. Small tweaks would make it better but overall I like it.

Excellent programs with lots of easy to understand routines and explanations. App has a few minor issues... can be a bit glitchy or the records can be off a bit.. most of the exercises give images and explanations of how to properly do said exercise, but many do not still. App could use a refreshing upgrade for user friendliness however very easy to use and understand. Recommend this for anyone

I enjoy the app. It's great to be able to go through all of Jim's programs, pick one, and load it into your calendar. For a given exercise it will even tell you what your last reps and sets were. I take away a star for the app seemingly removing extra sets you add if you leave the workout to go to the calendar or if you click on the how to do an exercise link. Otherwise it's a great app. I suspect I'm not using it to its full potential either. Still need to explore some features.

Jim Stoppani's programs are incredible. So, I need to give a rating for his programs (which would be 10 out of 5 stars), and then the app itself. The app is functional, it's decent. It could use some work. I do think the app would be better if it stored workouts that you select onto your device, maybe directly as a PDF for retrieval and ease of loading. At time, the app gives me latency more than I would like, especially while I'm deployed forward and accessing it from poor Wi-Fi.

Great programs. Easy to use. Experienced lifters get a great workout. Great content and explanations for the beginner. It saves the weight and reps that you last used. My only suggestion, would be saving the weight for the last time you did a specific rep range. Love the app and will continue working through all the programs, which will be difficult because Doc is always adding new ones.

The app requires internet access to save your progress. If you're traveling and trying to keep up with your workout, but do not have cell service or internet access, you will not see your workout schedule or your weight/rep history. To test this, close the app completely and turn on airplane mode. Launch the app again. No saved progress or even a workout schedule.

the app fails alot.. and has to be uninstalled and reinstalled to work. I've emailed multiple times. with no fix. I still love the app. it is truly an amazing piece of technology, with an unmatched amount of training and nutrition information. just wish it wouldnt geek out so much. sometimes it will glitch while at the gym trying to "save sets" .. and hafta be closed and reopened..and if it wont reopen, u have to uninstall then reinstall..

This App is Great! It provides a wide variety of workouts from a beginner to an expert level. There are examples of most lifts if you aren't familiar and step by step programs to help you succeed. The only down side to this program is the workouts can be lengthy, but if your good with managing your time in the gym this again is a great app.

I love Jim's fitness approach and guidance but the app is lacking. Needs overhaul to be more user friendly including: - Better pictures on how to do certain lifts. Some don't even have pictures/videos. - Links embedded within the actual workouts for the corresponding diets. It's inconvenient to go and look up the diet everytime to make sure I'm doing it right. Yes, you can write it down but an app in 2021 should do that for you. - Refreshing new look. Visual updates haven't happened in a while.

It crashes occasionally, but the Jym team seems to have thr app business down pretty good. If I can't do something on the app I'm able to fix it on the website and the app will update with the changes. I just wish all of the exercises had demos or pictures. Overall it's probably the best workout app I've used, along with the Jym programs.

Very helpful, but because I am lazy and busy it would be extremely helpful for me to set push notifications so that I may allow my phone to boss me around. (Other small things to pick on): Allowing to sync with phone calendar. Allowing me to view the "how to" and go back to workout without losing my place. I have poor reception where I work out at, and would appreciate an option to not need internet to save progress or see "how to's". Love the App, I always recommend this to co-workers.

Overall a very good app, the only thing I would recommend this far is the ability to modify the exercise within the daily plan. For example if a certain piece of equipment isnt available at the gym that an individual goes but they can do an alternate exercise that works the same group of muscle(s).

Overall love the app compared to other similar ones. Wish there was a "notes" section under where you would record sets, reps and weights. Also the videos showing how to do specific exercises stops 5-30 seconds in. Other than that, there's a lot more capabilities in this app compared to its competitors and it's a lot more intuitive!

This app leaves a lot to desire especially since you are paying around $14 a month for the programs. 1) can't move scheduled workouts. 2) it doesn't always pull your previous sets. 3) interface feels clunky. 4) lack of exercise data base The only reason I stay is because Jym's programs are great. I expect a more polished interface for the steep monthly fee. Reinvest in your business.

The app and the entire program experience is awesome! I truly appreciate the love for the military Jim and am thoroughly enjoying the massive selection of programs available! This is honestly the first review I can honestly remember leaving for any app. One thing I would suggest for the app, if you could add a weight counter per workout, sort of like you have on the homepage of the app for you overall total. But rather just like a finishing screen after you complete your workout.

Absolutely amazing. Easy to use. It would be nice to have a notes section to log cardio types and times as well as a list of alternate exercises, inthe learn to do section,p for ones that use specific machines and equipment for those of us that don't have access to things like a Smith machine. But overall a beautifully executed app.

Hun. W. Oct 27, 2021

Much more intuitive than similar apps. The exercise images/videos in the HOW TO are useful. It would be nice to have a notes section per exercise for the user. HIIT could use some cleanup - if I choose to sprint or use a heavy bag, I cannot accurately log the exercise when my only option is WEIGHT and REPS. Also would be neat to have a built in algorithm that used user inputs and showed strength gains over time. Only three stars for now because it constantly reverts to KG instead of LB.

A. M. Q. Sep 9, 2021

This is pretty good overall but could use some small tweaks to make it better. 1) If a certain exercise is used in different ways (tabata, low reps, high reps, etc), it will only display the set of the last time the exercise was done. This is unhelpful if I'm supposed to do tabata Squats and the last time was low reps. 2) There's no way to look past the last time you did the exercise, i.e. limited history. Would love to see a graph over time like "Simple Workout Log". 3) No timer in the app.

Not a bad app for access to his workouts and exercises. Overviews have links to workouts that aren't listed in the app and can be added to your calendar, which is nice. Still using the app after a year. It would be nice to add description to sets if you don't have access to certain equipment for future reference.
