So far I like the feel of the layout, and it has pretty good options to personalize your project. However, I withheld a star for now, due to the lack of information, and thus understanding of how to set up deferent templates, what should go where in the various headings, and just overall lack help features that should accompany all data point entries. Add some definitions, on page info pop-ups, and tutorials and I'll come back to add the 5th star.
This app is useful for me, at the first tries of this app, it was completely working. Until this year, it says "please log in to your account" then happened more times... Then it said it again and when I logged in, my websites were lost. I can say this is a good app because of the features, but this is unforgivable. Please fix this so I'll rate this app as 5 stars again.
very terrible experience here. i put in so much of my efforts & time into building a site and for 1 mistake i made from settings tab , i lost all my progress that i worked so hard for. very unpleased and upset about this. ( + no available options to save ones progress for site to return , should a mistake take place.)
Nowadays all the Shopping is done online, a shame that jimdo is focusing on desktop editing. The most annyoying missing features are: Choosing Font and Font size from 1-100 not small medium large. Colums are missing. Editing shop product widget. its a nicely looking app but the inner core is loveless
Very useful and easy to use. The website admittedly has more options and customisation, however the app is just super easy to use and just allows me to start writing whenever something comes to mind. Even if I just want to make a draft or plan something for later. It also allows me to edit and check any work much easier than turning my laptop on. It also allows me to see how other people would be seeing my blogs on the phone and share to my social media accounts much easier.
omg, so easy! drag and drop, if I can do it anyone can!! I especially enjoy how there are no adjustments required between mobile tablet and pc formats. Build once and done. It took me 30 min to 1hr to build. I started on my mobile prior to boarding a flight and completed by switching to my tablet once boarded. To speak of bugs is irrelevant, those happen in every product, I have not encountered an as yet but have noticed some dev changes and enhancements. Great product for a quick presence
Great app but small things could make this so much better. Ability to customize font and font size within a template would a PHENOMENAL add, along with the ability to change the default banner image, and the colors within a theme, and png upload capability. Right now it fills in transparent space with a white or black background; an obvious eye sore. Overall, it does what it says it will do. But these minor details will help to put you over the edge.
Another horrible 'site builder' with limited options and no freedom to make a site the way I want it. Waste of time
So far this app is easy to use therefore it's so irritating. Why? because every time I create new website, even though I didn't yet post anything or sometimes I just still editing the content, it will send me back to start then the site is blocked. The hell is that? I tried many times but it still the same. Recommend to anyone please don't try using this app, it will waste your time. Hope you'll fix it then I will change this review. Thank you!
The app launches good. But, once i sign in it justs goes back to the screen where it asks me to sign in or sign up. Then, when I try to sign in again, the button doesnt work, and freezes the app. I have repeated this process multiple times and i have never been able to actually sign in and use the app. But, I have used the website, and it is amazing for designing websites. Hopefully that is specific enough! :) btw, the website creator is really great! I love it!
Its a nice app, easy to create your website. Very limited templates & customizations to try. 1 pager only. Pinterest & Instagram social media buttons are missing. Would love the shopping cart integrations would help my business but its way too expensive, for $20 id rather go to shopify or a proper e-commerce platform that offer way more features for the same money & its mobile friendly. And if it was affordable I would prefer to pay through playstores sub feature.
The app is actually fine except for one new thing: for some reason it's impostible to paste something in your Blogtext. I often write my texts offline on a different program and want to do a simple copy and paste to publish the text on the blog but thats simply not possible and therefore very dissapointing!
Absolute horrific experience. The support search engine is a looping machine designed to trigger all sorts of emotions in you and eventually make you give up so they can continue billing you . Anyway look. I signed up thinking "yep sweet I can give this a try and cancel anytime" .. pfft Nope! Spoke with a support agent i explained i had been trying to cancel within the time frame but guess what? You cant find the cancellation option to cancel! So the next time you can cancel is next year..yuck!
Useful app for working on your own homepage or blog on the go. It's definitely simpler on the computer, but the convenience of the app which just connects your account makes all the changes instant. Occasionally buggy but I'm satisfied overall and glad to have it available as an app.
I absolutely love this app! But I want the Jimdo Team to fix this one issue. Whenever I create something and try to access it after a few days, it always shows this error message saying ''oh no something went wrong, is this your account?'' it has happened with multiple times with multiple websites I've created.
I love this app! I run a small business, and its absolutely perfect for what I need! After many failed attempts with other slow and crashing apps, I was about to give up on a website. I recommend this app for anyone who isn't tech savvy and just needs a good reliable website building app.
I've used Jimdo for a few years now and everything is perfect, even the customer service and support is top notch. It's easy to use and a bonus is you can edit on the go, I like the fact its free so you can grow your Web site and pay for extras when your happy and ready to progress.
I saw all the reviews and thought this app was good. I downloaded it and it turned to be pretty cool. But then, for no reason at all, my website was deactivated. I was disappointed because I had actually made a decent website and all my progress was lost. I tried making another and it was also blocked. I sent a message to the Jimdo Team and they said they won't restore my accounts because I violated their terms and conditions. They gave me no further information; they didn't tell me what exactly I did wrong to avoid the same mistake later. Such bad customer service. Wish I could rate it zero.
I have been using airsite to make my blogs for a long time, and I got tired of it and wanted to try something new. Well, this one is pretty good and all, but there are less creativity options, less templates, no start from scratch option and some other stuff. But, it does include stuff that Airsite does not have. AND there contact team replies unlike airsites one. So, I wouldn't say it is better then airsite, but I know it will be in the very future 4 star to me, add start from scratch and uGet5
Slow photo/video uploads or not at all. Took three failed photo heading uploads before deciding to just uninstall the whole thing altogether. The whole process of making my own website became frustrating with Jimdo and not worth my time.... let alone my money!!. God forbid if I ever need customer support!! I'll probably get charged by the month for it...
seemed excellent helping me promote my small business easily creating a page with little skills I was proud to create something that didn't look like it was by a amateur. All live ( easily&quickly)the app froze after months of use unexpectedly!Tried clearing space,checking permissions,reinstalling seems to not click so I can log in or let me access the app at all leaving me unable to sign in or use my live page that I rely on to update customers and general information relating to my work!!🙄
No, thank you, I just use a computer to make another one. To be honest, making a website on PC is more comfortable and easier to use than on CP, now I manage to make my website and pass it to my teacher. Even though I'm not satisfied, this app still helps me have a higher grade, so I will change my review to this app for helping me out. Thank you. 🙂😇
I am a SHS student and was required to make my own website for our Empowerment Technologies subject. So, I chose this software as my means of fulfilling the task. However, I just realized that I made a big mistake. It keeps on auto-disabling my site and it repeated more than what I can take. It was just so disappointing as my teacher recommended to use this software but now it is making me lose patience. Now, I am cramming to pass my output and getting low grades for not being on time.
When i tried to log in with an already existing jimdo-accound it kept loggin in with the wrong email (I have two jimdo accounts). And since I wasnt able to log out i reinstalled the app and tried again but same problem. I'd love if you add the function to self decide which accound I want to use.
When I used it previously, it worked fine, but now when I switch between two pages it shows the login page and my website gets blocked. I have tried with two different email ids and even two different phones, but not get the problem corrected.
I think Jimdo is great, I love the options it offers and prefer it over many other website builders. But I "only" give 4 ⭐ cauz when my website was blocked, the support needed 3 days to answer, which was little annoying since I had no clue what happened. To be fair I have the jimdo free account so I'd understand if I wasn't their priority. However It'd be nicer if you guys could state the reason of why a website is blocked directly in the dashboard to calm people down... Overall super great app!
I prefer using their site more and it's great ..but if you all could fix this issue in the site itself that we can change the price of the products even without upgrading then it would be good.. because many just create sites for simply testing it at 1st so if you could fix that rest all would be good..there are several other things that can't be changed without upgrading so plz check that too.. It could definitely use more Design-Style options and/or choices. Like an option to use a "Dropper Color Pick Tool" for fonts, backgrounds, etc. The liberty to choose which, and how big or small the font is for "every" Page (not just all at once). And a cutomizable search tool bar, for the website only (not with the whole google thing).
