App is regularly buggy or down. When I add jobs, it will regularly list it multiple times, which could lead to demerits. Its a terrible app, like any government app. Just soo many bugs that cannreally screw users over.
The app works okay but a bit slow, and it would be great if the employers' names were displayed in the job application summary list in the "my job search effort" section. When you're applying for several similarly-named positions it can be quite confusing. Being able to see the employer name in the list would be very useful.
It works most of the time. Takes a while to update and can't always sign out. Its really lacking in providing a way for client interaction eg. It lends no ability for clients to update appointment details regarding courses or starting work. Its totally fixed to very limited choices - not in touch with reality, or covid 19 circumstances. It doesn't allow for client independence or honesty, and everything is reliant on call backs from job agencies who are overwhelmed with the fallout from covid 19
I've been trying to access all day and it keeps telling me that login failed. very slow to access and update, each update requires you to login via mygov again. Adding job details is slow.
I've had to clear the cache twice in 10 minutes just to get into the app. I don't know what you did but at this rate I'm going to give up and email in. There's a reason Aus Gov apps are consistently given low to mid stars. They're too often buggy and frustrating to use while also being the predominant platform pushed.
this app is disgustingly out of order, constantly refreshing while I'm trying to log in, when I finally managed to log in, it logs me back out and tells me to use chrome instead. However the app is mandatory. Here's an idea, if you're gonna make it mandatory, then maybe make sure the app actually works?? Frustrating as all hell, get it together please.
Is it possible to give zero stars. You deserve zero stars. The app worked literally once and now I get the same assinine error message asking to use a browser instead.
The PDF reader is a bit weird, half the screen is grey the other half white. The app is handy but feels a little slow flaky & cobbled together, feels like it relies to much on a browser api or something, just not polished & professional. So I'm not 100% going to rely on it, as this stuff is critical to survival basically, will still go through mygov on the web.
Can't login using pin. Login using my.gov and when log out it doesn't really log out. You still can use the back arrow to do anything. Just when anytime it asks to put the pin, use back arrow again. You can pretty much doing anything with this trick. Very unsecured app. Hard to believe this is government's level.
Garbage app. For the last 5 or 6 hours I've received a notification every 10-15 minutes, telling me to check my inbox. Nothing there. It's now after midnight and another 2 notifications have woken me up. I've had to disable my notifications so it would go away. The app is up to date, there are no messages. Take things back to paper if you cant make a working app.
App won't let me update or add any information. Keeps showing me an "Error"/Something has gone wrong/Try again later.... Very frustrating, especially after spending an hour updating and adding all my latest relevant information only to be told that none of it has worked! This makes it very difficult, impossible actually, to keep all your tasks and obligations for your Jobseeker commitments? I hope none of this results in a "Breech" and suspension of benifits??? Please fix these Issues!!!
One of the worst government apps for the end users/clients! It has so many ongoing issues with functionality & a poorly thought out interface that it's impractical to even list them all here. Considering how long this essential app's been plagued by substandard functionality and how many people brought it to the attention of the developers & ultimately the government, who is responsible for funding its development, one may well assume it's as 'good' as it will ever be.
Apart from the rare system outage, I've always found this app to be pretty good. My one disappointment with the latest release is that the ability to view historic appointments appears to have been removed. This is of particular concern, as the app, unlike the website allowed me to view recent appointments and thereby ensure my job provider have actually correctly marked me as have 'Attended' my appointment, rather than 'Did Not Attend' which they have done on two occasions when the fault has actually been of their own doing; once when they phoned well ahead of the scheduled appointment and more recently when two members from the same branch phoned me at the same time, with the one who went to voicemail marking me down as 'Did Not Attend'. So now, with this release, I am unable to tell if they are continuing to enter incorrect information on my record.
Worst. App. Ever. Never used because it NEVER stops loading and initialising. Even after 10 minutes. I can't afford to waste my battery on something that doesn't work. NB: Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't help, nor did restarting my phone. Best stick with the website.
I use the app once and then it won't open trying to use it again. I've had to download it that many times and I'm sick of having to waste my data. For an app that is essential for unemployed it's disgraceful that it has so many issues.
Hi, I can't log into the app. It says: "Error Login failed. Please try again later or use mobile-friendly jobactive.gov.au." It has been doing this for two days now. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times. I've made it forget me and then tried to login. I've restarted my phone. What can be done? Thank you
The app only works over a wi-fi connection. On cellular data the app always comes up with the error message "Check your Internet connection and try again." And it is definitely the app and not my internet connection (heck all the other MyGov apps work perfectly fine and I can login on my mobile phone through the Jobactive site via browser with no problems). Until this is fixed, the mobile app is effectively useless.
Searching works great, I can login to the app with no issues, check my details or update works great too. However.... Every time I try to apply for a job and submit the application an error message is displayed: "Error: The backend server is currently not available, please try again later." If the Australian Government wants job seekers to apply for a certain number of jobs per month it would BE REALLY GOOD if they had a working app that let users submit job applications. Hopeless
For several days now I keep getting the login failed message. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling this app. I only want to input the codes for my activities instead of going through the hassle of using my computer to do so. Please fix.
Don't bother with the app. I used it for a month or two, but then it started to get stuck "Initialising" whenever I would start it, and hasn't worked since. Clearing cache, reinstalling, and hard resets don't fix it. Don't waste your time, just use the website.
I can't upload evidence of job searches, the app just crashes every time since the update and even when I try to do it via a browser the same issue occurs. The job search aspect is laughable, you're better off just using indeed or seek and uploading screenshots as evidence well, if the stupid app would even let you do that.
When it works its good. but regularly has back end server not working issues and its extremely frustrating to report job searvhes etc cause of it It was a helpful app to register my job search for Centerlink, however since October 10th it hasn't worked claiming "back end server isn't working" or something.. now I have to ring In my job searches so I don't get cut off... -_- will update rating when they fix this serious app issue..
I hate when you use Quick links and go onto Instant job list, after you apply for a single job then go back, it doesn't go straight back to Instant job list. It goes right back to the Dashboard every single time! ANNOYING.
Try to log into the app tonight and it says "Security Warning. There is a problem with the security certificates for this site." Can log into the Web version however, so don't know what is happening with the app? First time I have had a problem with it.
Its kinda convenient but theyve made the aoo worse by removing the ability to look for jobs by a specific suburb and a certain distance around it, instead you have to select from a list of citys and their surronds so yeah im stuck with seeing jobs in that would take over 2 hours to get to and probably missing out on a tonne that are both more suitable and closer to my suburb.
Never works, waste of time app. For a gov app that we're forced to use, it's pathetic that after months of trying to use, this app still does not work at all. Multiple times, on different phones, I've uninstalled & re-installed this app. Just constantly says it's loading & it NEVER loads. It's about time the developers got their act together & fixed this major failure. EVERYONE is having the same issues suggesting the website is not fixing you app. Rediculous.
Doesn't work well at all, never notifies you that you have a message, needing to log in to the app to see notifications isn't how this should work. having to actually log in to app to check on something you're desperately waiting on is completely wrong. Apps usually work, what's wrong with our government when every app fails
