A lot of potential but there are a couple of things to be worked out: - you should be prompted to view the instructions with a pop-up when you start a never before played game. Better yet, it could just launch a tutorial. - the app says I haven't given permission for it to upload files, even after I have indeed done so. This stops me from uploading a resume.
I've been playing every day for 2-3 days. I find Robot Inspector to be the most challenging so far. I have to use magnifying glasses to see some of the details, especially when they're gray on black. It's easy to hit the wrong button trying to be fast or hold your finger too close to the screen, or have it register twice if you don't life your finger fast enough. It took a miracle for me to get to Level 4 but I haven't come close to Level 5. The hardest ones are the "same" ones, ie when the robots match, because you have to check all the elements instead of seeing one discrepancy pop out right away. The other mental fitness test is Expert Witness. The key to this one is not to play repeatedly. Rest in between. Otherwise the characters blend together and you'll see faces from previous rounds and get confused. Pick one feature and name the person (Side Hair, Freckles, Bow Tie). The vocab game Words of a Feather has some of the hardest words I've seen, and I have a great vocabulary and I teach SAT and GRE test prep. It took a lot of effort to get to Level 5. Even when I knew the words, you have to be super quick. When you don't know the words, you really have to pause to jot them down or else you will probably forget 90 seconds later. The same words recycle, but even after many rounds you may see a new word. The second verbal one Mumble Jumble you'd think would be harder, but it is easy peasy and I reached Level 5 with no problem. Weigh station is not hard if you're good at "head math," but I try not to do too many of these in a row. It's good to be fresh. So despite getting a 95 in the Quantitative, I have only reached level 4 of Weigh Station. Those subscores, like the 95 I just mentioned, aren't really explained well, and it seems hard to move the needle much by progressing through the levels. As I said, I did pretty well in Verbal, and with the level of words they test, I can't imagine most people would do much better. Yet, despite getting through Words of a Feather and Mumble Jumble, I only have a subscore of 68 for verbal. Doing well in Expert Witness doesn't seem to help my difficulty with Robot Inspector; I only have 59 in that subscore. Having more explanation of these, and perhaps seeing other people's statistics that you can compare against, would be good. As for getting hired, they post companies that are hiring, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they were in my area. But I haven't seen anyone here say they've gotten any jobs through this app. I probably wouldn't apply anywhere unless my scores were all 90 and above, and that seems unlikely given how hard it is to move the needle.
Well I'm definitely progressing my skill with finding difference within a similar looking robots. Seriously this app is great. Idea is awesome, UI is well thought. Keep doing great stuff 👍 I would love to see more detailed stats on my player card, and my personal best on every stage in every game, so I would easily know whether I'm improving or not.
It's been a great way to do some mental exercises, and keep myself busy during those times when I got nothing better to do. The challenges escalate in a way that makes it feel satisfying whenever you progress to a new level, but not so overwhelming that if you have to repeat one that you would be disheartened
This is a FABULOUS app!!! I am so impressed thus far. I like the challenge with the games & it's great that your mental exercises could present a job offer! Even how there is an option for taking a work- place personality assessment & once completed will offer informative results! This is just Day 1 of my experience with this app & I'm going to make a point to stimulate my brain by playing the games on a regular basis! I'm interested in seeing how things pan out! Bravo developers!
Games are fun, gets your mind working...just wouldn't recommend for the job search function. Got 93 after three days on and off, just the two jobs listed from the start (philly region) despite changing my location a few times for testing (EDIT: At 98, nothing new). Only game that wasn't fun was Infruition but I can understand why it's there from a testing standpoint. Some vocab words don't fit, needs *better* scaling. Use it for fun and challenging friends, you'll have a blast.
First, language mastery is actually just advanced vocabulary. VERY advanced. Math and observation more relevant. Overall kind of fun, but no feedback to help you improve so quickly becones discouraging and don't see any benefit to me.
This is really great app to improve our own way of thinking. It helps to concentrate and improve your cognitive skills ... Truly recommended and must have app for all. If you want to grow professionally as well as personally this is really great great app. It helps you to get your own lost focus back to the life. Just keep playing games. It works incredibly !
I'm enjoying the games. I can't upload my resume though. I have granted the app permission but after selecting a document to upload, I get an error message stating that I should grant storage permission in order to upload a resume.
The truck game does not show the problem correctly for subtraction questions on an Android running in left hand mode. 12-4 shows up as 4-12 so if the user answers solving for how it's displayed on the screen he might be wrong if the other number is greater than -8.
My scores are currently 99, 97 and 96 in Verbal, mental fitness and quant respectively. My overall ability score is 99. But I see no way to leverage this score to get considered for a job opportunity. There are only three listed companies in the app and if I click on any of them, they take me to external links for applying - with no way to hook up the jobflare scores. So how does this help me? I was on a sabbatical and looking to get back to the workforce.
It is a great app for amplifying your cognitive skills. Job portal is not that relevant in my area. However it is not great for learning new words or techniques, since they do not give the correct solution / meanings.
Excellent and highly recommend for all age groups to train your brain, increase mental alertness and to expand your vocabulary. The last level in all categories are tough as 100% is required, but keep at it and don't give up.
It is alright, the only problem is it keeps prompting you for a resume but you can't upload a file, and if you hit aplication it just keeps telling you that you need to enter something because it doesn't have a way to enter it
Great game to sharpen the mind. However, Mental fitness doesn't increase, even after getting to level four in both games, it's still stuck at 38. Will rate 5 stars once that's resolved
I have particularly loved the mental marathon, it unleashes the true mental strength. The biggest challenge of this app is the "Fast friends" section. You got to sweat. I enjoy this app. It helps me prepare for aptitude tests. In the past I have been scoring dismally but now I bet I'll qualify. Thanks team.
It is a nice, well built job matching app, that also contains brain teaser "games". It is asserted that the game scores "correlates positively with the actual CCAT test scores". Do not be fooled. Playing the games in this app in no way, shape or form will prepare anybody for the actual CCAT. If you are looking for CCAT prep, look elsewhere. if you want a job matching app with some brain teaser games, by all means, use this.
Been in the professional landscape for almost a decade and never needed to take a CCAT until recently. JobFlare made me feel prepared and confident just by playing games, without the stress of studying and memorizing.
It is a great challenge that covers different aspects of intelligence and aptitude. Though, you really need to focus to make it up the levels...
The app works very well, it has a varied set of features, runs smoothly. The games are fun and well thought for improving cognitive abilities.
It's getting logout automatically. And while logging again it shows "we're are having trouble logging you in. Check your internet connection and try agin". Even though i have proper internet connection. I even tried changing password and logging again, but same isaue.
I would heartily recommend this app to anyone who needs to prepare for the tests. Job Flare allows users to work on their spatial awareness, verbal skills, problem solving, reasoning etc. without forcing them to leave home. Games within this app are designed to balance fun and learning in just the right measure.
Really worth using. The games section trains you to answer many questions as possible, using a limited time frame. Still yet to explore other aspects of the app.
I came across this through an aptitude test provider that I was required to use. The games in here have almost zero resemblance to any actual aptitude testing outside of a but if math. The app serves little purpose in my opinion and all things considered, could actually detract from your ability to do the aptitude test.
Got stuck at location settings. App refused to enter location on account of unavailable internet network. Funny, everything else was running just fine.
The app is so poorly made that the text goes offscreen or overlaps with itself. Couldn't even get past account creation. Not a good first impression
Don't waste your time. I'm not sure if there are other tests to unlock but this is nowhere close to preparing you for a CCAT (if that is your intention). You are shown three different tests and you must pass them sequentially. The first test asks you to compare two images of "robots" and determine if they are the same or different. Lame.
The app itself is good, but the practice questions are nothing like what you get on the real test. The real test 100x more difficult
its fun, but what kind of job required super quick attention to details ?, super quick brain compute ? knowledge of rare words vocabulary, this non sense, became a big hurdle for prospective employees to get their job and is not relevant with the job itself.
It's a good app to help train your brain. Just the Level 5 lemons and blueberries puzzle goes too fast sometimes and the amount of both fruits could be closely the same as well. For a puzzle that comes in a flash like that, I'd expect that there should be a more reasonble difference in the number of both fruits given that it's humans just using "persistence in vision" to solve the puzzle. However, generally, it's a great app.
