It's a great app at helping me get jobs, but is buggy lately. For months now, I get job notifications seemingly every minute or two. I have changed the settings to check every 30 minutes, and even tried turning off notifications (multiple times with many phone restarts) and it doesn't matter. I get alerts constantly telling me about new jobs and it's gotten to where I uninstall the app once a week just to get a break from the constant phone alerts that never go away.

It's a must have app if you want to get the good jobs rather than be left with what no one wants. However, I will add my comments to the growing number of complaints about the most recent update. It's just bad. It fixes nothing and now the sound is screwed up. it now only allows the same notification as if it was a text. I'm trained like Pavlov's dogs to respond to the certain sound that I set. I've already missed jobs because I think it's just a text message. Jobulator: turn it back.

This program is a great concept but it is poorly tested and poorly supported when there are problems. There are constant problems with "not being able to connect to the server" messages as you can see in the comments of others. There is some mention of a new release but nothing further about it or at least a release number so we can tell if we have it installed or not. As a former programmer, it is poorly tested and not supported properly.

Jobulator has gone from great to poor. I've used this app for 5 years with no issues. Then a few months ago they changed the notification tone and the new tone is barely audible. I adapted. Now, with no notification my monthly subscription was canceled. I tried to follow the steps for renewal but there was no "renewal" button to select. There is no phone number to call anyone in customer service. Sad.

it is a pretty glitchy app. it works more than it doesnt and I am getting jobs from it, but a lot of the time when I touch things it just doesnt respond. Like when a job comes up...if I touch it...nothing will happen. or if I reject a job it wont update to delete it from the screen. i basically just use this app as an alarm to go to the absence management system from frontline and accept or reject from there. The alarm works alright and that is the most important feature anyway...so 3 stars

App is not reliable. If phone loses connection with network (mobile or wifi) but reconnects, the app does NOT check for new connection, even if set to check for jobs every minute. You'll need to force quit app, and re-open it. Sometimes new jobs are available, but the app will have no connection. Again, you'll need to force quit and re-open it. But, by then the jobs will be gone. Developers have known about issue for a long while, but can't find a reliable fix.

Ever since it did an update this fall, Jobulator for Android refuses to connect to the internet ("jobulator could not connect to the internet") every time I go from a Wi-Fi enabled environment (ie my house or the school I work at) to a cellular data environment. The only way to remedy this is to toggle airplane mode on and off, then refresh the main jobulator page. This bug has been happening for several months with no fix, meanwhile I pay for this every month and as it isn't working half the time the entire point is lost. FIX IT!

I am so disappointed with the recent update. I no longer have the jobulator ringtone, which my kids knew to run and check mom's phone. now it's just my text tone with options. Also no option to only have vibrate on at night. I am getting 2 notifications each alert and the jobs seem to be already gone by the time the page loads. If nothing is fixed looks like I will be switching a different app.

The Jobulator app has been very useful until recently when the notification tone settings changed. I have missed several jobs due to not hearing the notification sound. I have tried many different notification tones in the settings, but once it is set, the volume of the actual tone is extremely low. Adjusting the notification volume on my device does not change the volume of the tone. Please bring back the original jobulator notification sound and loud volume that it had. Thanks!

When it works...it works well. However, support is almost non-existant. There is no way to update Frontline information. Their faqs are useless. They have no chat line nor phone number for help. The only way to get any help is with a trouble ticket. There is no way to tell if the problem is with them, with Frontline, or somewhere in between. It is extremely frustrating dealing with them when a problem occurs.

Update: Contacted support and they finally ended up ignoring my emails. Canceled service. Bye bye. This update changed the notification sound to the phones default. With the volume set to max level jobulator notifications are barely audible while all other apps on my Galaxy s9 blare at full notification volume. You ruined a good thing. Accept that your app is defective and roll it back to the old version.

It seems to be a great app; I have had no problem with notifications and even set my own notification sound. The only problem is I no longer need the app but cannot figure out how to cancel it. I've gone to he website, and the play store with no success.

Great for the last year, then for no reason I started having problems, it vibrates and doesn't ring. I asked for a call back because they don't have a phone number, I received an email telling me to check things I have already tried, still no sound, next my payment info changed and they cancelled, I hit renew button and it accepted my payment but went let me log in, I sent another email 2 days ago and nothing, I can't log in to cancel, can't talk to anyone. VERY FRUSTRATED!!!

I use the app regularly; however there are several things that can be improved: 1. Why can't we schedule "Non-Work Days" on the app? 2. The notification sound is low. 3. The calendar in the app doesn't allow us to see the assignments we've accepted. 4. There isn't a customer service number that can be called: everything has to be down via email, etc The attributes I like about it: 1. Links all my districts into one app 2. It adds the job info to my Google calendar 3. It's in date order

Better than sitting at a browser hitting refresh, but for something this simple it aughtta just work. It can't handle moving between WiFi and 4G - I need to force-quit and restart for it to connect. It doesn't let me know if there are attachments, so I have to check the website anyway to make sure I'm not missing something important. My battery report singles Jobulator out as an energy hog, saying it's responsible for 32% of my battery drain. Yikes. Always thrilled to uninstall in June.

This was a Great app until just recently. There is a major problem with it now. Can not stay connected to the server. Which means it does not do what the description says it does. I have no problems with any other app about connections. And I had a school send me a test job and it never came through. I would save your money until you see good reviews.

Ver. Z. Sep 23, 2019

Just lost two possible assignments because I got a message that my device was not connected to the internet. And it's a newer phone so it's NOT my phone. If it's not fixed, I will NOT renew next month. Update: This is ridiculous and annoying!! When I get notifications, and I try to open the app, I get that stupid message that my phone is "not connected to the internet". I am so done with this app.

ROB. G. Sep 27, 2018

I receive the message "unable to connect to the internet" when checking on job openings. I can be in the same room as my router and still get this message. I am sure I have missed a number of job openings due to this recurring situation. I get better job notification results on my laptop using the Frontline website (formerly AESOP) than by using the jobulator app.

Bec. O. Sep 16, 2019

Not meeting my needs. The point of the app is to inform you of available substitute jobs. For free, you can check the aesop website for jobs. For the $50 annual service fee, this app is supposed to inform you of available jobs in a competitive area. Previously, the app had an alarm sound that would get your attention. Now, none of the sounds are useful. They are all so brief, too quiet and utterly useless. I find myself tied to the app looking to see if I miss a job.

Sha. G. Mar 6, 2019

Not worth $6 a month. The only thing this app provides, that you don't get from aesop is a push notification. I've already gotten a call from the school's system or the school itself, before a notification comes through. It's a super basic app, which would be fine & worth it for $20 a year MAYBE, but a waste at $6 a month.

I will now be saving $5.99 a month since I am discontinuiing jobulator on April 30th. Since my last review, jobulator-waste of money - has decided to change or is it the tech term "update" its alert choices to those on the android phone. All of which do not "break through" the noise clutter of a usual day. So good-bye jobulator which is now a total waste of money because I have very much lost several good jobs. Who's brilliant idea was it to change the alert tones?? THE WORST!!!!

I have everything correct and the app keeps saying "invalid log in." I tried several times. I checked at least five times, on a web browser, to be sure my pin and address were correct. When I tried to press "forgot log in," it just had a pop up telling me to go to their website and email them for help. I am absolutely positive I added everything exactly right. Why not send me an email with password reset right then and there? Why do I need to go to your website, email you, wait for an email, email you with more information and wait for a resolution. I need to work today, not next week!? :( I wanted this because the website never shows jobs. I have worked only one day in two months. But, this is so bad I can't even log in to try it. If you will help, great, but if not, please stop charging for an app that is useless. It seems you have no 5-star reviews since 2016. Maybe reevaluate your app from then? Find what was working, and fix the current version? Give a free one month trial, fix bugs and help me log in with information that I am positive is correct. Thank you.

Your app has been crashing for the past week, keeps showing an error page. I pay for this to find subbing jobs, so this should not be happening. I have also updated it. Fix this!

Nan. S. Feb 18, 2019

Despise other reviews, I decided to give this a try. It is extremely unreliable. It doesn't inform me of open jobs consistently. I installed another app which sends me text messages for jobs. I get those, but not a corresponding notification from jobulator. And the other app is FREE!

Ona. W. Apr 22, 2019

Update messed up the notification sounds. The last update Jobulator did, I no longer get my jobs with my default sound. It now barely makes any noise when it goes off. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it with no luck. I have even changed my sound and I only hear it if I have my phone in my hand.

App is constantly freezing! If I'm in the app and the new job is added, it freezes. when I switch to the calendar to see if I have availability on a particular day, it freezes. I'm constantly having to exit the app and go back in and hope I can catch the job that I wanted! I'm having to check jobs more on Frontline than on the jobulator ap! I'm missing out on jobs due to this freezing issue! I pay for this app, and it was really helpful, but now it's not! Please fix!

This app was working great until this school year. First they take away the unique tone that lets you know there is an available job. Then the app stopped working. It keeps informing me to log into the app. When I try, it informs me that it cannot connect with server. Although this is my preferred sub app, I need something more reliable. Canceling my subscription until it is fixed.
