Read a review and you state the only permission you need is one. After reading the required permissions I must say the most intrusive two are install API and read contents of shared files. Not in your life.y bank account and crypto accounts. Why would I ever give that out. Install API allows for software to be installed on my phone that would let you see everything I do on my phone.
Banned without reason. Reason was never provided to me. Support ticket came back with "we don't know why it's banned because the account is deleted so we can't look into it and we can't make exceptions then" - the account was never deleted by me and I can log into it. It is also my initial account. Nothing happened at all. Well then, I'll leave with the bad experience I had and sadly can't recommend the app.
On OnePlus 7T, the only way to use Jodel now is to re-install it every single time I want to use it! It's stuck on 'Check out what [city] has to say' In order to use Jodel on my phone, follow these steps: Uninstall Jodel, Reinstall Jodel, Sign up with a new account (because sign in with Google no longer works?)... Rinse and repeat every time I close the app. Easy!
I'm uninstalling this app and I won't recommend this app to any of my friends again...I was timed out for 7days now it month 😤 I have contacted you but still you are not working on it
This app used to be fantastic, wonderful and fun. Now you'll get banned for no reason at all (not even breaking any rule), getting things out of context when I'm literally answering OJ's post. The support won't help you despite me explaining throughly and showing with screenshots. They'll just stop answering you. I'm really lost for words on how unfriendly and unprofessional they are. Just look at the reviews here from others who had the same experience. The moderation system is a F joke.
More ads, I have to upgrade (pay) if I want to change the area
It was really good at first but then I was blocked for an unjustified reason. I try to contact Jodel so many times like sending request and email for help and they never answer one. It's just disappointing.
Unusable. Can't log in, magic link does not work. Has not for months.
Used the app years ago, and it used to only require a phone number to register, which was reasonable. Just downloaded it again and immediately deleted it since it now requires you to register with your email address or a social media account.
Take the 'uploading of pictures from gallery feature' out. It doesn't make picture feeds look authentic
Why can't one just delete chats but rather have to delete and block the chats? If that feature could be reworked on tat would be very much appreciated. 3 stars for me
Bought a used phone. Previous owner was blocked. The Jodel support rejected unblocking the device. Won't ever use this app again.

I tried posting a link there and it was not accessible. I'd appreciate if this issue would be resolved and we be given that option too
Flawed verification system. They ask you for your email so they can send you a link to sign in. The link opens Google play in my browser, wanting to install the app I already have installed. I can't get into the shop. I've seen this happen before with another app. I'm any case, I'm prevented from using their wall with their preferred method.
The personality privacy n how anonymous the app is makes it soo free n fun to use, feels so good to belong to sumtin, contribute ur candid opinion without being victimized. Wish they can do sumtin abt the karma, in a way others can see it too or to be able to use it for something else it still clearly serves no purpose regardless how high it gets.
I was notified that I was banned for 7 days but the time out has exceeded 7 days and I have contacted the support center but there hasn't been any email or anything. The app is horrible sometimes, you ban without any investigation
Good idea but there's a massive spam problem - most posts get one or two upvotes, but every day or two there will be deluge of half a dozen with ten upvotes. Go to another city, the same posts, with ten upvotes. I keep flagging them as spam but the devs seem to be doing nothing to stop it. Oh well, fun while it lasted.

Been loving it so far with no complaints till they added videos. It's slowed down the whole experience of the app since you now have to wait for videos to load as you scroll through. It's also very difficult to build any meaningful content when you're maintaining anonymity with videos so you're left with out of place videos which do nothing more than increase data cost and slug the ux. Also doesn't help that videos are unrelated to the channel they're posted into.
Worst app ever. The support service are filled with bots. I was banned for more than 10 days and there was no response at all. Kept sending them email every now and then. They still ask me to wait but no response
Alright so this app is not the next Swiflie or YikYak. Everything in the main channel for me is in arabic or some language I don't know when I live in Montreal Canada. I can't turn on the international feed and every one of the recommended channels has 0 posts. I dunno if I'm just doing it wrong but this app seems pointless and is not user friendly compared to the past legends in this app genre. I feel like a simple fix would be to have a language filter of some kind.
I like the idea but moderation is extremely biased with no way to effectively contest decisions. First I thought it was maybe just me but when you want to open a discussion with fellow users, these discussions also get removed. Also, as new features get released there are almost always some broken features in the App even when you're not registered as a beta tester.
You should at least be able to send and reply messages when you're banned 😪 Because you've been banned due to something you've posted not something you've messaged. If this is the case, then it ain't a great app to begin with
This is the second gimr6i have been timed out of the app... This is getting ridiculous... Someone reports you and there's no thorough investigation... You're just logged out
Terrible. Horrible. Wants an email address to sign in. Sends a link to "verify". Said link doesn't open in the app, because it's an effing shortlink and it will lead me to some weird play store page again. Basically these dudes can't even solve a simple login. This is laughable, 0 stars.
