John GBA Lite - GBA emulator

Overall a pretty good emulator. The ads are not as annoying as the other free emulator (I'm looking at you, M* B*y!) Unlike M* B*y!'s ads that almost always have an error, this emulator just show its ads when I switch between apps, and on top of the screen too but that doesn't bother me. This also allows me to have multiple save states despite it's free. The games also run very smoothly. This emulator definitely needs more recognition.

One of the best out there. Great haptic feedback, very little lag, speed up options up to 16x! There is literally nothing more an emulator needs. The ads aren't as bad as people say, mostly just small banner ads at the bottom and a skippable ad everytime you switch to another app. In all my time using this, it's only crashed twice, both times I was using over x4 speed (let's be honest, all emulators struggle with that). And the quick and auto save are extremely helpful. All in all a solid app.

Great, no-fuss emulator. Easily finds games, minimal problems with romhacks, easy to use save/load with multiple slots, speedup, and other perks. Only real flaw is a certain lack of dexterity with the touchscreen D-pad that makes certain games much more difficult/impossible, but that's a hardware limitation, so it gets a pass. Very reasonable ads, you're never stick watching 30 second+ adds, and the ads are never louder than the game.

The emulator works perfectly well but one of the problems I have is the controllers which isn't responsive at some time but you can get used to it. Also, in my Legend Of Zelda:Minish Cap game, I made a lot of progress and almost done with it but when I entered a certain room there, it automatically puts me in menu screen. I tried reloading several times and whenever I enter that room, it just puts me back there. I'm not sure if it's from the emulator itself or the ROM I downloaded.

Not much to go off of, but here we go. For a mobile app, the controls are fantastic. The customisation is, while small, a nice touch. My only possible complaint is that you have to download the games externally, but it's to be expected. Wonderful emulator overall. In addition, the savestates you create seem to be stored in the ROM files instead of in the app, so even if you uninstall it, you'll have your Pokemon save file ready.

It's a good emulator, was hard to figure out how to get widescreen/landscape mode at first but got it eventually. My only issue is that moving buttons around when customizing settings is to touch sensitive. For some reason the A & B buttons pressed together function doesn't work on landscape or at least when set to very small. Portrait mode hurts my hand some & the screen is to small so I hope the issue is fixed. Ads are also annoying as they come up EVERY time I click the menu. I can deal with a few but t it's annoying to see every time I try to fix my button options. Despite this it's not enough to make me uninstall this. Besides my issue, it's perfect. I can finally play a good Harvest Moon game on the go again.

Overall this app works great. It plays my games well, it has save states, and it works perfectly. But there is one problem with most emulators like this. I was playing legend of Zelda the minish cap and I was on the last dungeon before the final boss. Every time I try to enter the next room it crashes. And I mean EVERY time. I've tried multiple ways to try to fix it. Deleting saves, deleting other games, but it won't stop crashing. So basically I'm stuck in a room right before the final boss.

Great Emulator! I really love this emulator because it is the only emulator that works when I connect a controller to my chromebook. Only problems I have and is because when I have downloaded a zip file (Oracle of Seasons) it does not show up when I try to get the game on the home screen, and I bet there is a reason or a mechanic that I haven't discovered yet. Another thing is that once I create a controller layout, it wont let me change them once I hit save. Great App! Would highly recomend!

This works flawlessly for me. The ads aren't a problem, since they only show up when you leave the app, and the controls are great for the most part. There's basically no lag either, and the fast foward skips tedious moments, so it makes for an outstanding experience. If you want to play GBA games on the go, with more quality of life improvements, I'd absolutely reccomend this.

I've been using this emulator a lot, and it works perfectly! The controls are layed out nicely, customizable buttons, and more! I play this on my computer, and I have never gotten a single ad! I dont know if its just luck or something, but that lets me play effeciently and quickly! I play this on my chromebook, and it runs perfectly! I'd totally recommend it to a friend! The only thing is the cheats stopped working after a little bit randomly, so I uninstalled it and now its stuck on "pending".

So many ads that it's unusable. There's a banner ad above the game while you're playing. There's an egregious full screen ad Every Single Time you tab in and out of the app, and the ad's close button is in a different spot every time. What's even worse is that these ads also play every single time you access the settings menu. It's awful on nearly every level. Game runs fine though.

This is by far one of the greatest gba emulators on android that i have ever played. I've used this app multiple times and i haven't seen any form of screen tearing, delayed controls, sound corruption, file corruption or any form of save data corruption it simply just works like its supposed to, if i have to find any form of problem with the app it would be that the original layout of the controls is a little bit awkward to use but you can easily change it in the settings. 5/5 would recommend.

This been a long time partner for me on times of boredom and revival of memories, I do thank to the developer, no more than that, excellent application, nothing negative and doesn't lack anything. Advice: Turn off WiFi if you really can't play with a little bar of adds or maybe a video, but have in mind... that the app must stay alive and the developer can keep up with the funds of these adds!!

I'll tell u the straight Facts. Never crashes, smooth graphics and gameplay, can play many games on it, ads pop up when you press the menu but it's okay since you can skip them real fast, you can adjust the speed for games like 2x Or 0.5x for games, you also don't need to save because there's a button in the top left corner that looks like some kind of chip that quick saves, and for people who don't like to grind or something like that there's a cheat option for u to put cheats in.

Great emulator! Works perfectly fine, and the ads aren't intrusive or frustrating. Lots of customization, and a great system for editing where the controls are. One feature i am very happy about is the fact that it scans for games instead of you manually having to search for one. Kudos to the developer, this is a great app!

Haven't had any game not work on here. Beautiful interface with pictures from where you last saved to the app of the games you played with different selections of how to view such games. Categorization, button layout, orientation, screen scaling, plus Bluetooth/gamepad comparability with my Xbox one s controller. This is only the free version, but the full version is worth what you gain in the long run. Its not expensive either. Out of all emulator apps this is what I go to for my GBA games. Good stuff 👍

I have used this emulator ALOT, and for a free emulator, it is FABULOUS! Firstly, the ads are not so intrusive and annoying! That makes the game actually playable and puts the game in the highest quality possible! Second, the fact that you can speed gameplay is very helpful! When I play Pokèmon, I end up getting in LOTS of battles which is annoying. However thanks to the speed up feature I can play faster! This is just amazing!

Everything is great and it works well. I only have an issue with the save and load buttons on the top of the screen. I reset almost my whole kirby game and ive lost all motivation to play it. If you have the option to go back after loading just in case it was a mistake. THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME EXPERIENCE GAMES I COULDNT AS A CHILD.

I love this Emulator. For being free it's really high quality. There are plenty of settings, most of them enhancing the game, but some of them just fun to experiment with. I usually play with my PS4 controller which works great with all of the games, especially since you can change the controller input. I love playing these old games I never got to experience. Keep up the great work.

Ads are actually every where you look it is annoying trying to play a game but switch out to look at a quick walkthrough(because all the RPGs I play are too hard and how am I supposed to remember every single person!?) then ads. Then I try to speed up x2, but the banner gets in the way and on my opinion, I hate it. Most of the time the ad x out button doesn't even appear! But it runs amazingly well, so yes.

Superb app, I have near 21 games on this emulator. And still it does not crashes.No, you don't need to spend money on this emulator, it is completely free. There are ads, but it is okay. Because you need to wait for 1-10 minutes only. Not like other emulators that you need to wait for 15-30 minutes to skip the ads.It also searches games super fast, and still it does not crashes. Fully functional emulator, works great for pokemon. Unfortunately, I fell victim to their garbage POS design system. There's a quick save tab at the top of the screen that will save your game. Except its just a quick save, so if you need to go back, you lose all of your game play. Lost a few hours and don't feel like doing it all again. So thanks for ruining the game for me, dick.

This app is amazing. Non-intrusive ads, fabulous emulation, great ui, etc. The only problem is that you can't resize the controls flexibly. You only have a few options for size, and even the largest size is too small for my tab. It's irritating and effects gameplay quite a bit. Allow for us to manually drag the box and resize it please. Edit: Also, can you add gyro support for Warioware Twisted?

This is by far the best GBA emalutor app out there. However my 2 star review is because I use the app so often to relive my childhood i decided to purchase the ad free version. But even after purchasing it I am still subject to banner ads as well as timed pop up ads between switching games or switching to a different app. Its a joke. If you take my money to remove ads you should remove the damn ads.

I mean... once you get past the ads, which are escapable, and if you tolerate the lag, this emulator is pretty great. Controls are a bit jaggy and sometimes I can't t go diagonal at certain times, but at least they are smooth if you go easy on it. A bit annoying with all the vibrating everytime I make a comand, but it plays out neatly, nothing wrong with the save files everytime I open and close the app (I played Fire Emblem on it, so I ocationally reset the whole thing out of habbit).

Amazing emulator! I would rate 5 stars, but there are two simple flaws. I play pokemon roms quite often and when you try to trade between 2 different games it doesnt work and closes it out. Apart from that when you try doing fast forward above X4 it gets very laggy and there's a huge frame drop. Other than those 2 flaws it's an overall amazing emulator with good quality.
