it was great after I purchased the full game... for about a week! now any of the two letter sounds "ai" "oa" etc don't work and it ends up freezing on them in the games. not ideal seeing as it was purchased to use the games to cement my child's learning. I've emailed the developers over a week ago but no response yet.
**Commenting on the paid version** The voice-over for the alternative sounds words is not working. Sometimes it lags and doesn't work for the flash cards and words in the groups. Otherwise, it is a great app.
I really like this app, but the old version actually worked better. Please fix some flashcards that do not sound out like 'oa' and the tracing is really temperamental.
It's a very nice app. Please work on correcting the sounds because lately, the sounds refused to pronounce most words
Something wrong with new update. Longer words getting trunkated so kids can't see the full spelling. Some words doesn't have audio. Why don't the developers test the app before release?
Some digraphs like is, ie, oa, and blends are not working. No sound. Prefer the old app.
My daughter love it very much she's just one year old and she can say the sounds and sing the songs.
excellent app for young learners.. noticed that the "oa" lesson sound is not working. it just freezes when it has to annunciate "oa" for all the words
Very good except you may need to make "e"with a sleeping stick and a curve then other caterpillar letters round as a ball for better printing
As a Kindergarten teacher, I have used the Jolly Phonics program for several years to teach young children how to read. They love the songs, stories, and motions that go with each sound. I am so glad to find it available in an app. The testing page is a great resource. I like that it is not revealing to the children whether they got it right or wrong, but provides a list of their correct and incorrect responses. Thank you!

Amazing app! I'm home schooling a hyperactive grandson! However the ....oa...has no sound
overall a very good. Songs a great, flashcards are good, the lesson activities and length a great. Only issue I have is the font. For letter formation, letters such as an A have a different formation when written. Keeping to a Comic Sans style font will help when getting children to write out the phrases/words. It ca be a little confusing when the letters look completely diferent.
Cannot hear the sound of ai ee ie oa ue in flash cards and also in the blending words.
Has a training teacher, have learn alot with the jolly phonics and it also help my student alot
It is very cool and amazing and very and it is a very clever it is also a very good learning app for kids I hope other people can get to use this app because it is very it is very good in learning for kids at a very young age

I like the most for phonics teaching.
Anyone teaching jolly phonics, synthetic phonics or phonics in general will find it usefull. Good for review, testing and parent reference. Contains basic lessons (eg a sound, letter/s, story, action, song, activity for each sound) games and parent-controlled tests. Teaches letter sounds not names. Only thing i would like to see is the addition of more games - some slower paced/untimed game for beginners. In the first game some of the sounds are hard to distingush, eg th sounds a little like s.

Just browsing through the app to check this is a good fit for our family and have noticed an error in using the letter 's' in the blending words in Lesson 2 or 3. In the word 'is' the letter 's' should make a 'z' sound, not a ssss sound. Hoping there aren't too many other errors, as the rest of the examples and activities are great.
