As someone who writes a lot, I would like to point out one thing, namely the need for Night Mode feature throughout the user interface of the application. The full screen mode does not have an option for the Night Mode, though. The white color ought to be replaced by a grey color throughout as it healthier to your eyes. After writing for a while in the Night Mode, I find it painful for my eyes to have to face the white background of the application's interface. Besides, in writing mode, given the size of my SwiftKey key pad, there is too little working space left as part of the screen is occupied by the application's top bar. At the top of the screen, this bar has minimum functionality yet takes up precious real estate of the tablet screen. Perhaps, it would be better to have it auto hide in writing mode. Certainly, it would be marvelous if JotterPad HD Pro could force the Android status bar at the top of the screen disappear - the way many Web Browsers do - when in writing and full screen modes along with the application bar at the top of the screen. Thank you for your excellent work and support. I wish you great holidays ahead and many happy returns! 😉
Seems this is an old version of jotterpad x, which I already have, and if you do there's no opening this one, which is stupid. Had to figure it out through reviews. I want a refund.
I purchased this a while ago. I'm just getting into "Jotting" down my thoughts. It's really turning out quite nice.
Most functional and clean word processing app. The best I've seen so far.
What is going on? I can't open it. It is migrating me to jotterpad X. I paid for both. I thought this is different. Please REFUND my money for the HD purchase..
Good note taking app, but what if we could convert it to mla, apa, and Chicago format? Also have little templates.
Didn't work for me on a galaxy note 3
I just bought the app and it WON'T ACTIVATE! I tried endlessly... $6 lost...
I reinstall it and it doesn't even open now it just says wait 45 seconds??
Very handy to use.
This app is great for writing, but it's not perfect. However, it's about as good as it gets for android tablets right now for a simplified writing app. The dropbox sync could use work. It will replace deleted text and has issues with folders, so if I organize text documents on my desktop I have to clear out the app data before I sync together. There used to be a weird bug that duplicates entries when the lock screen activates, but it seems to be mostly fixed now. I'd like to see better folder support, and a full screen mode.
Not fully compatible with bluetooth keyboard. Very poor customer support. Wanted a refund but author never acknowledged my requests. Update: The developer responded already. But still no refund.
JotterPad HD Pro is a great tool for the minimalist who seeks to write, to save documents and to import/export documents as needed. Just what I was looking for...
Just the dropbox sync needs work. It happens a lot that my files have double text in them. Hope that gets solved soon. Otherwise this app is just what I was looking for.
Great app for writing. I use it on my Nexus 7. Has good backup and uploads easy with Google Drive or other cloud storage. I'll give it 5 stars when Dropbox is fully operational.
Looks good, stays out of the way, and works well with my bluetooth keyboard.
This is a pretty good app. Almost perfect. The one feature I'd really love to see is password protection for individual notes (or folders if you would be kind enough to add that feature!). You could even add it just for the app in general. Currently, I am using another app to lock this one. Would love to have the feature built in so I can delete the second app. Other than that, great app with lots of well thought out features!
Comes with review? I havent found it yet maybe I'm just looking in the wrong app
Really disappointing writing a bunch of stuffed losing it bc i forget to save. Auto save would be dandy
A nice text writing app that syncs with its own dropbox folder (with subfolders), lacks find/replace. When using it for scrivener sync, how to get new text files into notes/draft folders? Maybe it is possible, but so far I was unable to set it up correctly.
Although would love capability to export as MS office file:)
What I got was a mess of individual text files that looked like Crap and weren't even in the right order. Epic fail.
The minimalist view and ability to work with ICS spellcheck are good features. I would like to be able to not have the top toolbar when I write too though. 5 starts still!
Jotterpad is an excellent app with an extremely clean editing interface - perfect for writing; I'm using it to sync with Scrivener. A *really* nice to have would be RTF or markdown support.
I have needed a clean and distraction free writing app for my Asus TF300 for some time. None of the apps I downloaded had the ability to scale the size of the font on the screen or have the ability to shrink the screen line width; both of which are necessary for straight effortless writing. Jotterpad has both and just for that it should have 5 stars. But, unless I have missed something, there is no way to save/export a note to a specific folder or drive on my tablet. Exports go into the Jotterpad main folder in internal memory and while they can be transferred out to an external card or USB with the file manager I'd rather not have the extra steps. It is however possible to export straight into Dropbox and for that I thank the developers. For some reason the same function does not work for Google Drive. And while I recognize that the Dropbox support link support, (separate from the Export)is Beta, it does not seem to do anything other than provide backup of the proprietary database. Nevertheless, this is a must have for serious writing, especially if you need a nice big screen font for lean back in your chair with a Bluetooth keyboard writing sessions. Highly recommended.
Jotterpad is a good-looking writing space that works with the ICS spellchecker. Professional writers usually work in txt for speed and portability, and this app is all about presenting a plain txt file very attractively. You can pick it up later via dropbox etc etc. I use Jotterpad in combination with DroidEdit, which is a superb tabbed text file editor. The only issue I can see is, I can't seem to load from Dropbox in the app?
Nice, simple and effective note app. Apply to create bullet or numbered lists, as well as underlined and bold text would make it better. Being able to edit date and time would make it complete.
Finding a notes taking app seemed a desperate job. Most are ugly and unconvevient. What a delight to find Jotter Pad. Everything is perfectly functionnal very stylish and refined. Its a no regret purchase. l know nothing about the authors...but they deserve the Oscar for this app. It is perfect for taking notes, writing plays or novels. For me this is the first app so rigourously conceived with a true sense of layout, typo and intuitive functionnality...all my wishes for success...I will keep an eye on your coming opus
