This is such a great app!!! When I first downloaded it, I just wanted a customizable journal - it met that qualification! Then, the more I used it & explored its features, the more I saw value in how it could impact my life. Also, there is an amazing level of support behind this app! ... emails responses are fast, informative, helpful, easy to understand &/or follow. Thank you for this app & the support!!!
If you want a journal where you can create your own questions / prompts this is the one for you. I'm suprised there arent more like it. Just to be clear, at present, I have not paid for the pro and using the free version. The only two issues I have with it are; 1. Sometimes when trying to rearrange the prompts on a new form / journal template, it wont accept the changes. 2. Inability to resize images added to a form. However for a free product its great! If the bugs were fixed it'd be amazing!
I swear by using journals, and I don’t know how I survived without one for so many years - I typically use journal apps to record family events, thoughts, online orders & bill payments, fund transfers, trips, maintenance, restaurant visits, health records, etc. I've been on the hunt for the perfect journal app for awhile now. Until last week, I was using Day One. Before that, Daybook, but they went to a subscription service for pro. I will never pay a subscription fee for an app; I'll use a Microsoft product before I ever do that. Anyway... I resumed looking for the perfect journaling app last week, and stumbled upon this one. I found it confusing at first, but only because I've never heard of a journal app where you can customize the entries. The first thing I thought was "I'll have to invest some time in this app." That was not true though. Once I started playing around with it, I was rocking and rolling in less than 30 minutes. Once I figured-out it's full potential, I loved it. I've since setup several different categories, and lists which help me find posts much much easier - especially when I just cannot find the exact words for what I'm looking for. While there’s a subscription option, there’s also an option to pay a one-time (forever) fee; I like that! I did that. I also like being able to switch to calendar view to drill-down a search to a month view, and you have the dates and times visible in that view. If those features were not enough, how about auto backups? If I was forced to complain about anything, it would be that there’s not enough icons for the forms (or not the type I want), but that’s nit-picking for sure. I’d also like to see other destination options for printing entries to PDF. In closing though, I’m very very happy with this app, and let there be not doubt... this app can be whatever the user wants it to be. That’s the beauty of user customization. If you don’t like the provided terms - you can rename them. If you don’t like the provided forms – you can delete them. If there's not enough categories for you - you can create more. If there's not enough lists for you - you can create more. Kudos to the development team!
I really like this app! Most of all: the fact that the devs are open to suggestions and bug fixes. I've asked for a few features that could be useful to improve my (and possibly other's) UI/UX and they've promptly and gracefully added the changes to the new update. I find that invaluable when using an app that someone else developed. Thanks for that! I only use a subset of the features available on the app so I can't give a thorough review of everything available. So far, I've had an excellent experience with the features that I've used. The only issue for me (but I totally understand) is the fact the dark theme is only available on the premium/pro version. I find that invaluable in any app but I understand that they need to make their money from somewhere. I will probably be recommending this app to anyone needing to log any form of data in a structured format. It allows to avoid needless repetition and provides useful UI/UX components to speed up the process.
Found this yesterday and love it. Let's you set up exactly how you want to. Have tried all kinds of paper journals and lose interest because it isn't easy to go back over them. The only minor niggle I have is that you can't set the calendar to repeat a prompt e.g. Weekly, monthly, annually, four weekly etc. Unless I've missed it but I've had a good look.
I LOVE IT!!! The ability to add your own prompts is wonderful! Need to buy pro in order to have a password and certain other features but the free version is perfect for me! Thank you so much for this app. It's EXACTLY what I was looking for. Uninstalled a similar app after finding this because the previous one had no personalization without subscription. I'm not in the position to subscribe so cannot thank you enough for this app. Love it x
I love this app, but the one thing that bothers me is the photo preview. I don't like how the photos are cropped when i add photos into an entry. But when adding a photo to a form, it's fine. I wish these were switched. Or have advanced prompt where we can answer with an image. (Similar to the drawing prompt)
App performs as advertised, and allows for a great deal of customisability with essentially all required features being accessible through the free version. It isn't the prettiest journal app, but it certainly gets the job done and then some. The developers appear highly responsive which is highly regarded. Update: as per developer feedback, their is both subscription and one off purchase premium options.
Thank you for the app. Lots of options! I'm looking into using this more as a log/tracker than primarily as a journal. Would raise the rating if these issues are resolved: 1) Is there a way to manually move individual Forms up and down the list after being created? Same with Fields inside the forms? Seems basic given the level of customization allowed. 2) Is there a way to hide the "Recent" forms? It's distracting. I prefer to manually move my most used form on the top of the list.
This is excellent!!! I use it to record thoughts, events, pictures etc. It got slow to open when I made about 60+ entries but all I had to do was multiselect entries, upload them to my drive and then delete them from my phone. They're accessible by download to review at any time. I also could upload them in text form to get a quick view without the pictures. Thanks a lot!
This a very well made app, hardly has any bugs or issues during my experiences. As far as functionality, it's exactly what I wanted in a journal app. Due to its customizability, you can pretty much make this a journal for almost anything. Love using this app as a backup for my timesheet. The only reason I left one star off is due to subscription. App developer got back to me, they added forever option. 5 stars.
The form customization is everything I wanted and couldn't find. There is no assumptions on what you're gonna be using it for. I bought pro outright after a few days because I love the app and plan to use it for a long time. The video ads after every addition of a new tag were really obnoxious, but i can't hate 'em that hard on a free app.
I'm loving this app so far. I've tried tons of journaling apps without ever finding one that I can actually keep up with a complete everyday. This journal keeps me coming back with just how customizable it is! I'm obsessed with customizing things to just how I like....I love the ability to create my own forms as well. That in and of itself is enough to keep me motivated to keep writing. Nice job on this journal! I recommend this to all!
I have tried lots of different journalling apps and this is the one I like the most. You can create any kind of form you can think of - habit trackers, logs, reviews, memories etc - and it is very simple to do and use. There is loads of room for potential and the creators are helpful and respond quickly to any questions or suggestions you have. I think this is a great app now and will only improve over time.
After spending some time with this app I like it and would swap over but I don't buy into subscription software. Would be interested in fixed price. The others thing in connection with price when selecting pro it gives a 2.oo per month price but when selecting the 7 day trial it says after the trial 3.39 per month. Add that up over a few years.
Appears to be a good app, but I can't enjoy anything that starts off on a lie. There actually aren't any prompts. They recommend adding your own, which would actually fall under the category of habits, or subjects, possibly reminders. But definitely not prompts. Shame
I have been using this app for roughly 6+ months and love it. I can create forms to fit my needs for different types of entries I want. Plus, it comes loaded with a bunch of forms, too. There is quite a few different form field types as well; everything from basic text entry to numeric to drop-down lists, and even an auto-fill form field. I recently contacted the developers and suggested adding a skip-logic type form field. They replied quickly and said I should look for it in the next update 😍
I could not install this app. It says it's compatible with my device and after trying countless times and went through all the troubleshooting steps I could find. Including removing my account from the play store, disabling the app, restarting my phone and reinstalling the app. So, I have to assume it's an issue with the app.
This is the app I've spent my entire life searching for! I've owned and downloaded countless journals, planners and trackers, but this is the only thing that helps me organize my scattered mind and life all in one place! I've had it less than a week, but I've already created dozens of personal forms and more entries than ever before in one neat little place. I voiced concerns/suggestions and recieved prompt and professional responses, making me happy to pay the creators for this incredible tool!
Okay, this app is well designed, great concept, very fair in terms of free content, and the dreaded "subscription model" really is for extras. My main issue with this is the extreme limitations on colour personalization, ie. dark blue or a very patriotic red, white and blue. As a Canadian this really rubs me the wrong way. Could more gender, country, and colour neutral options have been made "free" instead?
App has lots of potential! Love the variety of form questions I can set up. Some navigational choices don't make sense, for example: why do I have to go through an entry to find Stats for a form (took me forever to find Stats, and there's no help doc either)? Why is the only way to access the list of forms to edit via the add entry button? Would love it if Stats could be built out a little more. For example, would love to see correlations between questions over time.
