Full of bugs and locks up on a pop up and you have to reboot. Worst app I have ever used, by a healthy margin.
LJS must be on poor financial shape... even with all the intrusive advertising. Not a single story on the app is accessible without a $23/mo subscription. A $276.00 annual subscription is not going to be worth it for most people. No more printing presses... just a website to maintain and journalists and editors to employ. It was fun while it lasted I guess. Regards, former paperboy.
Piece of junk. Can't read a single article now without paying $23 a month. Not worth it for the few newsworthy articles they have.
Requires subscription (which is fine),but even if you log in with your subscription it doesn't recognize you have one so you can read the articles. Fix your junk app.
Was ok. I usually browsed the main headlines. The app showed the main info of articles I wanted to read. Was free, now they want $23/mo. There aint $23/mo worth of news.
They apparently changed the app so it will not allow reading any articles without some type of subscription. I am uninstalling it after this review. The app is now worthless.
Worked great for years and now I can't even load the home page. Crashes and restarts continuously. It was one of my most used apps. Hope it gets fixed asap
Terrible... not worth paying for with all the constant ads let alone them trying to charge 23/mo for... ridiculous
If you get paper delivery, you are supposed to get the app free. The con on this is that only one person in the household is allowed access to the app. Lee Enterprises is not very good in there customer service in doing this.
You can't even use this "summary" type of app without subscribing, which is really proving that they have no interest in anything but subscribers only.
horrible app. tap on an article, and it tries to reload. over, and over. won't load articles. what's the use. totally worthless.
Before it was awful now it just crashes at startup. I'm taking it as a good sign to delete and never reinstall.
LJS is attempting to charge $23/month for their app. Which, you know, usually had about 4 new stories or so a day in it. Laughable. Uninstalled.
Better now. Bout the only contact to the world I got lately, thanks really.
Not worth the $23 a month subscription that's for sure.
I think there's a bug because it's already reloading every time I scroll through the feed.
new update requires payment. not worth the "free download" as you can't read articles without paying. don't download
I am never going to let you have access to change system settings. Screen rotation already enabled.
Recently started asking permission to modify system settings on app startup. The answer is no.
Explain to me how your subscription is worth what you say it is when I normally see a few local articles and the rest are from AP, which is free.
i uninstalled the app because of the constant restarting. will not reinstall until there are multiple positive reviews
oh my gosh LJS. Please fix your app! it is so annoying. I just want to read the news but it has been broken for months now!
crashes all the timing and you can't use the app.
I signed up for getting the paper on my phone. But get mainly advertising.
You can't even read anything. It keeps trying to load. I'm tried of it so much im deleting it.
Won't open on my Samsung Galaxy 9. Weakness abounds. Lee needs new dev's. The website is a mess too.
every app I have from Lee enterprises refreshes every 5 seconds horrible!!!
keeps restarting the app every 10 seconds
Now the app functions fine, but everything is behind a pay wall. So much for LJS. back to NPR and BBC. New update broke the app, asks for permissions, fails to load and most of the articles just link to the website anyway. The advertisements have gotten larger and more obtrusive and of course they're loading normally while the app is at a standstill. Sloppy job at the upgrade sacrificing functionality for a slick look
