this app is actually fine. but photos i put here, save at my gallery. so im thinking of uninstalling it. or it has any way to stop this.
Dont Use this atm, cause local BackUps can't be restored. Too bad, as the App is really Nice. Fix this Please !!!
I believe it is great you can write a life story and journal save it and secure it even though if it is personal
...but is missing and needs one crucial feature: the ability to create and edit multiple journals or "books" for different topics. For example - let's say I want to keep a journal for work, but then I want to create a separate one for relationship stuff, and yet another one for my vacation... you can't do that with this. It's unfortunate because otherwise this is well done.
I love everything about the app. However there are a few things that need fine tuning. The Calendar shows when we have creared a journal, but it won't take me to the journal when I click on it. There should be another tab where all the tags are listed. Clicking on them takes you to the particular notes. Great Job till now. Kindly add these things.
I would give it 5 stars if it was in active development or still being maintained. The developer hasn't touched the project or support requests since 2016. However, it appears others might continue the project since the app is open source. Google Sync doesn't work--the checkmark reverts back to unchecked right after marking it checked. The calendar tab shows January 1900 by default, not the current day, when you dirst swipe to it.
WARNING! IF YOU'RE USING DROPBOX TO BACK-UP. Dropbox are making changes to their software from 28th Sept 2017 and Narrate will no longer be supported unless they make modifications to their software. They have notified Narrate developers who have not acknowledged or made necessary changes, to date. Data prior to 28/9/17 will be ok but they recommend you take an external backup of your Dropbox data. Decent help from Dropbox but disappointing support from Narrate for their users...!
I really like this app but it would be perfect if i could add more than one picture to an entry. I mean theres another app that can do that but i really like this one and i hope i wont have to switch apps. I've already started using this one.
How is it okay that I can't access my own data stored invisibly in Google Drive? If the app goes under the info - and the Drive storage - is gone! It would be a great plus to be able to set up a template to copy into a note, e.g. a daily assessment.
Like the app very useful, but i dont always feel like typing so would be good to be able to save audio as well.
I tried to set sync data with google drive it reject my setting everytime. But set sync data to dropbox, it's ok. No problem.
Installing & opening this app produces the dread process.android.acore error on my tablet. Requires complete factory reset. Total disaster.
When settings is taken, the app is crashing. How shall i take backup of my data.
It stopped working in October and I cannot get any help determining the problem or accessing my old files.
Looks neat but only photo per entry, no tags, no extra options... Bit too minimalistic imho
i love this because, well, i can put my notes in their and you can put a lock so no one can read it. I never experienced problems like other people, so i guess I'm one of the lucky ones. Good app.
I love the app, it's just that, I didn't use it for a month, and even deleted the file with the passcode, and now I can't access my files because I can't remember the pass code. It would be very nice if someone added a "forgot your password?" Option.
THIS APP IS HORRIBLE ITS NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE ON THE FRONT DON'T DOWNLOAD IT.
Just like a diary/journal should be. I especially like the fact that it can be uploaded to Google drive,That way it can be there forever.
A great app compared to many others in the market. I just wish there were other cosmetic customisability, but the app delivers what it promises to do. Great app.
Never ever saves a note if you don't take a picture. Don't download. Waste of space. Useless journal app
it was a complete nightmare to transfer contents to a new device. nothign worked. i had to manually share the posts one by one. sync to drive didnt work. backup to sd didnt work. multiple file share didnt work. ive uninstalled everywhere now.
I downloaded due to the open source move. Narrate is just as good as - if not better than - the other journal apps available for Android.
The writing is too tiny both on my phone and tablet and there's no option to increase the font. Please work on this as soon as possible and I will increase my rating.
Waiting for an update. Dropbox has retired it's old version so I can't get my entries back on a new rom. Pls incorporate the necessary changes. Waiting for it eagerly
That with the title narrate that you would be able to store audio attachments. I have yet to find a journal I like because this feature is absent on all I have tried.
i was left alone with files I can't get back to Narrate after an upgrade to my phone. All the files are in Dropbox, but I can't retrieve them. i need these back, and have asked for aupport from the developer, but nothing.
