JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN Test Prep 2019 Ed
Journeyman electricians are electricians who have acquired the training and experience necessary to work independently, but who have not attained licensure as master electricians. Journeyman electricians may work with electrical wires, fixtures and control systems in commercial, industrial and residential buildings, but typically do not design the initial electrical system for a building, which is usually done by a master electrician.
As a journeyman electrician, you could install lighting and security systems or connect transformers, circuit breakers, switches and outlets. You may also inspect and test the integrity of existing wiring systems and supervise the work of apprentices.
Electricians are trained to one of three levels: Apprentice, Journeyman, and Master Electrician. In the US and Canada, apprentices work and receive a reduced compensation while learning their trade. They generally take several hundred hours of classroom instruction and are contracted to follow apprenticeship standards for a period of between three and six years, during which time they are paid as a percentage of the Journeyman's pay. Journeymen are electricians who have completed their Apprenticeship and who have been found by the local, State, or National licensing body to be competent in the electrical trade. Master Electricians have performed well in the trade for a period of time, often seven to ten years, and have passed an exam to demonstrate superior knowledge of the National Electrical Code, or NEC.

Found a bug and reported it to the developer. They responded to the notification promptly and fixed the issue promptly as well. I went ahead and purchased the premium version to get rid of the advertisements and couldn't be happier...
This is the best app that I could find on the play store after trying all of them. I started using it 2 months before I took my journeymans exam along with one other practice test program by dewalt. It has a good mix of trade knowlege, code, and calculation questions that definitely helped me pass my exam. I couldn't be happier about it.
This app is absolutely perfect! Amazing, and everything else in between!!.. I downloaded to get refreshed for my test date, 🤯🤬(I haven't had a class since I graduated 🤓wyotech, west sac👨🎓). App is the best I have found so far, hands down.. ALL THE WAY DOWN!!!🤲👇🕺
I like the quiz options and how it provides reference to the code section. I would critique on style and color of display. I also question how closely the questions simulate exam questions, which over time, include more nuance considering present day exams include more public literature than simply NEC
I'm giving it to Stars because most of the questions you answer if you get them wrong It gives you the right answer but not where it is in the code book and some of the questions it does even if there's duplicate questions you don't always get the explanation where it is in the code book just the answer
Multiple questions aren't correct vs the NEC Code book. If you're going to have a "test prep" app, make sure your questions are correct.. Nowhere in any part of the NEC code book is the term "joint box" used. Why is that a correct answer for a question? Worst test prep app.
This app is awesome great for test prep helping me practice finding the things in the code book.. but the questions I cant find are the ones that dont have information when I get them wrong also some typos making the question unanswerable
Not all the questions show up fully and you only get up to 5 q iestions. Still, it is good for a quick study.
I don't actually know if any of these questions were on my test. I used this app until I tested that day and didn't see anything really of that sort on my test. not helpful.
Can't get through three practice sessions of 5 questions each without the app crashing. Too many repeated questions. Seems like a small selection of questions considering the certification exam is 100 questions
Best so far. Can't wait for more products from this app. It's like they know what we need to have to succeed in the electrical career.
Very precise inf. The NEC explanation after every answer takes us to a broad details.

the questions that list choices dont show the choices so every question of that sort is wrong.
The measurements are notnin English units but in MTS and there is no way of changing that.
They should probably specify that it is the American standard for electrical installations. That is a very important piece of information.

I wanted to know if this is the United States version and if it's up to date with the national electrical code.
It had wrong answers. 1 HP is 746 watts, not 3740 watts. I can't trust it when these are answers I catch it on.
Fantastic App. To bad there isn't any web based training for this Professional Test. 100$ per test is killing the trade.

This app shows code references and is a great learning tool.
Some questions do not give you specifics you need to answer questions. Overall a decent app though.

multiple questions have no answers to chose from so you got a 25% chance of guessing

this app has so much potential to be the best place to recap for a electrician test , I love how it shows you the correct answer when getting a ? wrong. You should try making sure that even if you get the answer correct you still get the reference to keep it fresh in your mind this app is very helpful and with each test I get more confident everyday. I believe that illustrations accompany bye the questions could also help.
