I gave a 2 star review because they're some annoying bugs that need to be addressed. First: The weather card does not allow you to change the temp measurements C/F. The weather is in celsius, I can't change it. Also the time within the card is set to military time, can't change that either. Also, in the Launcher settings when I disable the left screen card, it still remains. It would be nice if you added the option to hide the status bar. Weather app is great, I kept that.
Most recent update keeps my home screen blank (scrolling home screen down allowed me to go to settings and restore app to previous version.). I had to tell phone not to update and restore app to a previous version. Then, I had to restore all my apps back to where I had them. Some apps, I had to relog in to. The update created a lot of work for me that could have been avoided.
Don't trust this app, I didn't even want this on my phone it just popped up on my screen that it had installed itself and wanted to me accept the terms and conditions as well as it's privacy policy. I clicked "decline", it went ahead and launched itself and froze my phone on a page where the only way to get off it was to "confirm" allowing it access to pretty much everything on my phone. I restarted my phone and it was still there, I had no choice but to click "confirm". Won't uninstall now, ugh.
Upon restart this app popped up on my screen demanding access to 2 permissions which I do not want to give. There is no way to close it or minimize it's screen and it prevents me from opening ANYTHING on my phone other than systems. I opened apps in systems and removed all permissions, including the overwrite permission, & restarted thinking it would no longer open automatically. Wrong. Still there. On phone when purchased. Nuisance! NO Help info!!!
If i could give a zero, I would. This app uses excessive data and phone storage, has ads, makes useless suggestions for games and apps, and has no option to uninstall or disable. Please note that it was automatically downloaded to my phone. It was not my choice to download it OR its updates, and it constantly flashes irrelevant rubbish on my screen, some of which have required me to restart my phone to get rid of it.
This app is to be carefully avoided at all costs. The worst launcher app in history, it slows down your phone, makes it look bad, reinstalls its awful updates when you try and get rid of them and makes things happen of its own accord even when you say a big loud NO to it. Not recommended. If you have it, replace with Nova or something similar, then disable every one of its settings, in settings and play store. (That's the worst thing about it, you can't even uninstall it from Android)
Very very Annoying!! I bought a new Alcatel Work Phone, the phone is good with good reviews.. But... Its very laggy, I think its this launcher but my phone is laggy and very slow, it won't even let me play a simple game like Crossy Roads! Everything is laggy and very slow from the time I turn it on and to the time I turn it off!! Very annoyed.
Soo far, it's still good, i like the fact that it gives you a lot of options when it comes to Themes and Wallpapers. Did you fix some of the problems that customers are complaining about? Cos I'm not experiencing any. Or its just how it start, good on the first day and start to show the true colours as time goes
This launcher has an extremely high level of bugs. which is very vulnerable to system errors, crashes alot. Please fix I do and well and truly appreciate this launcher and use this launcher on a regular basis. So if you could please so kindly, if you could make a lite version even that would be enough. Thanks in advance and I will hold my path to give those finals stars 🌟.
This app, and File Manager, keep my phone busy doing god knows what, slowing it down and draining the battery. They're the reason I have to keep auto update disabled in Play Store: the factory versions at least don't launch themselves automatically; if I let them update, they just make the phone unusable. Alcatel support: don't "keep optimizing" this garbage, get RID of it, just use the Google launcher and let us uninstall this. I'm not buying another Alcatel device if it comes with this.
My phone was working fine until this app kicked in. Now it is slow, freezes and stops me from enjoying the cheap little alcatel i had bought. Will not buy alcatel again because of this and can't wait for this phone to break/get lost. Don't know if app can do any of the things listed below, should be an option for (don't care) too. I certainly wouldn't encourage the app to do any more/~thing else. It is far too 'byte' hungry already! WISH I KNEW HOW TO REMOVE IT !!! ???
i used this as my default launcher for a very long time. But now with the new update, i can't get rid of the app drawer! i really don't like it i just want my home screen! i had to uninstall updates and fix all my icons! Please add a feature like before to remove the app drawer!
this app is very irritating! ive updated it 3 times in the last 3 days and everytime theres a problem with it, it wont let me do anything else on my phone. If an emergency were to take place, I would have to deal with this app before I could call someone for help.
It completely messed up my phone.... home page gone, the app keeps opening everytime I touch the phone... can't delete it!!!! I tried!!!! The phone was bad enough, have to reboot 3/4 times a day... dropping calls and messages!!!!!!!!!
I am sick of joy launcher launching itself ever so often. There are no settings to adjust it. As I can see. So you can't turn off features u don't like. And it takes over and sets the phone up however it wants. That's a no for me.
I mean the wallpapers are cool but it keeps crashing! I dont recommend this! Please fix so you can have the wallpaper by itself and not have the apps change coz it hard to see them!!!! >:(. Other than that, It has nice wallpapers! :/
It was preinstalled. It doesn't make the top ten lists anywhere for a reason. It symply not very good. Avoid. I just noticed that this app has the install unknown apps option on by default. it's even creepier than I thought.
After the last update I become spammed with kinda "phone wasn't boosted 3 days" notifications. Why?! I've tried, it useless! And I can't stop these notifications but they annoying. Please make button "work as launcher ONLY" somewhere in settings.
Ever since I updated it be making most of my apps not work. It making life difficult. It turns my screen black and after a few second it say that 'joy launcher has stopped working' I fix the problem, I have have this problem for about 2 years now
This launcher is horrible. Buggy & crashes a lot. Contains pop-up ads everywhere turning your phone into mobile advertising and filling it with junk and causing it to run slow. Avoid installing & updating to this launcher.
horrible, if you have an alcatel phone uninstall this app because it will slow down your whole device, randomly crashes even when youre not using it and has annoying pop up ads, its very buggy and i have no idea why any sane person would install this instead of some other launcher.
My phone cannot install the latest update (31/07/2019 update) because I have tried several times and downloading the update is really quick but it takes so long to install the update and when I go off the Google Play Store it cancels the update then when I am on the app it says it is having problems installing the update when I have a 128 GB Micro SD memory card applied to my phone and all my apps and files is on the Storage Digital card and I need to update it because it is my home launcher.
This app is making my phone slower than before I've installed this app, I want to uninstall it, because then my phone may be faster. At first it was a cool app, but something went wrong, cause everything stuck on my phone, and it moves my stuff around. I'll be happy if you would so something about the problem.
this app has ruined my phone and will not let me delete. Im going to bring this matter to the police and guards due to how dangerous it is with it and other parties i did not agree to being able to access my contacts photos and passwords to all my stuff. I did not agree for this to be on my phone. get this sorted before the police do and you are prosecuted. Ive screenshotted all the reviews!! not a threat this is a promise.
All this app does is spam you with annoying ads and the phone goes much slower than before. Very hard to remove as well due to the fact it auto downloads itself this app is 100% rubbish in every way shape and form
The app launched without me doing so and now my phone just continues to lag, it can take up to a minute to get out of apps sometimes. And now all my apps keep crashing, i really do hope you guys fix the app soon.
updated itself and like alot of other users ,phone lags , can barely use text or messenger and never gonna play music through youtube with this lag again, gonna keep having to factory reset if i wanna use my phone at all ,not impressed! sort it out .
Please make an option to disable the "Screenshot Preview". I understand that some are enjoying that, but for me it's just annoying, very disturbing. Too often to be remembered that I misclicked that " preview" you provided on the screen after I captured the screen. Please at least give user an option to enable /disable that preview. .... Updated the stars, the launcher improving to be much better than before. You deserve full stars now. Many thanks, very appreciate what you've done. :)
