JPG Image Size Reducer

A JPEG/JPG size reducer, optimizer and image converter with lots of formats support. Reduces JPEG image size without changing resolution. Please read warnings & important points before using app.
You clicked a selfie and now want to share it with friends but want to reduce size of image to your desired KBs or you want to reduce image/photo size but want same resolution? This app will do it. Save space by reducing jpg file sizes. It can also be called photo compressor, photo size reducer, photo space saver etc. Its a useful app to reduce jpg size without loosing noticeable quality. It also works as image converter with lots of format support. Now reduce all big images to small size and save lots of space which zip, rar, 7z tools cannot do!

* I am getting crash reports + 1 star from Redmi 3S and some few more devices mostly. Crash related to Adreno graphics (EGL). Looks like a ROM issue. App works on stock ROMs well. If Redmi 3S still crashes will be removed from supported devices. **



IMPORTANT POINTS, WARNINGS


- Use a gallery app like QuickPic. Because some gallery apps do not clearly return image path. Always use a gallery app from which returned image is loaded.


- By default images are not added into gallery to prevent multiple copies creating confusion!. They are saved in /app_data/ImageSizeReducer folder. You must use a FileManager & find all files here or simply change output folder to your choice then images can go into gallery!.


- From Marshmallow external storage needs runtime permission. If permission not grated app will not work.


- Do not keep input folder = Output folder. Doing this overwrites original images. NEVER DO IT!. Better is to keep default output folder i.e. app_data/ImageSizeReducer


- Keep the app running until images are processed. If home button is pressed get back to app using recent apps list. Pressing icon from launcher will start new copy of app not old. This is done to do multiple tasks.


- In single mode non-jpg cannot be converted to jpg for compression. However it can be done using imageconverter 3rd tab and then load on 1st tab. This way non-free feature can be used for free!

- Reduce size by %. Example reduce 1MB JPG to 10% of its size. Always reduce up to 20% or above otherwise quality loss is clearly noticeable.


- Optimize JPG. Reduce some size without loosing any quality. Smaller size reduction.


- Supports multiple files mode i.e batch mode compression & conversion. No limit on number of files. Non JPG based compression requires unlock paid app!.


- Converts lots of image formats to jpg, webp, tiff, bmp, gif, png. It is powered by ImageMagick ( ImageMagick is product and copyright of ImageMagick Studio LLC ).

Not all formats are tested. Especially encoding can fail in some formats.

Very handy usage. Read below points as examples -


- You want to share an image but its size is high. Instead of sharing to the needed app share it to this app and reduce size then share directly needed app. It behaves like a pipe.


- Select images from any app. Press share & select JPG image size reducer to start converting or compressing and save size.


- As another good space saver you can choose not so important images with big size and reduce them to acceptable quality in batch.
