What have you done to the app? Taken a 'Shinkansen' and reverted it to the 'Tsugaru Tetsudo Stove Train'. Why take such a backward step? This was a favourite app now it is a poor excuse for what it once provided. For the record I love the 'Stove Train' but not for my modern daily travel needs. Please reinstate previous features to this app!
After a typhoon of 25.10.2019 the app does not display the actual train schedule for affected Chuo line. But still works as a draft route planner, i.e. it helps you choose connection stops on a long complex routes. But the only way to get correct timings is to consult JR staff at a station. Thus only 4*. It will be 5* when it displays the current train schedule with all changes, delays etc. See e.g. DB Navigator app.
This is now really just a crappy app that changed from the best JR East app to something that just duplicates what so many other apps do. I used to check it several times a day for JRE status and now I don't even use it at all. Whoever ruined this once great app should be fired. It was an incredibly stupid idea to destroy what once was so useful
I downloaded the app attracted by the look of old version, still shown on leaflets at stations. The new version is unbelievably primitive. Then I saw all comments for latest version complaining the same. Shame on the developers!
This app used to work brilliantly, now it doesn't show any results (the Japanese version still works).
Amazing app since they changed the new interface on 14 March 2020. This is my new go to train app.. Even looks at other lines
What happened to the old app? This new version is terrible . I used the old version to check train line status ,and now i can't.
the new version got rid of the most useful information and it was way more userfriendly, new one has its uses but is not very good
navitime and Google maps are more useful. this does not have optimized train info or even the seating info that navitime provides
Well, the English version is currently stuffed. Japanese version drastically updated but working

Failed to give ANY results partway during the recent Sept. 2019 typhoon (EXACTLY when it was needed the most).
the update destroyed the usefulness of the app.
Old version was much better! Please change it!

what most important is not various jumbled informations like this. While using wide pass for tourists I want to travel from "nippori station" to "tokyo skytree station" and the app failed to help me. so i can't grasp what this app use for. it's just informational app not direction guidelines app such which entry which exit. Tokyo metro app although it's not as detailed as this app however it's more easy to use..
The most unintuitive and useless transport app. JR need to scrap this and start from the ground up. Don't install unless you want to be frustrated.
Borderline useless. About all you can do is confirm a route exists - which you probably already know. No times. Can't reserve shinkansen. Just about useless.
Useful information is locked behind a terrible interface and constant UI blocking for "communicating" to the server.
You used to have the fares and most importantly, time schedule. Now, it is gone. Departure info is missing

What is this thing downloading upon startup?? Warning if on 4G ... it seems like it's downloading about 1 gb of data. Then it failed after about 300mb. It's a stinking pile of brown stuff.
One of the best apps I have ever used. I have never been to Japan, but I love transit and figuring out directions. I'd love to go to Japan!

Very useful and practical. Please, provide an option to also show all names of stations and lines in kanji. Never used the old app, but reading the comments, the new app is missing useful features. Hope to see those reintroduced. Please, also consider publishing this app on F-Droid.
