Doesn't easily find and load music folder. No search function to find folder. Doesn't load Playlist. Function buttons don't work. One horrible app. I use JRiver on my surface laptop. On android phone horrid. Don't buy. A waste of 10 dollars.
Far too buggy. keeps closing.Shame as I have been using Jrover on PC for many years
I've just downloaded JRiver after many years because Amazon's music app has become a gateway to sell their streaming service and the former useful interface is just a pale shadow of itself. JRiver found the music files on my phone easily and displayed what was there in a nice intuitive fashion--much clearer than on Amazon and Google's apps and no advertising--worth 10 bucks to me. The sound quality is very good. I am still trying puzzle out playlists which are not as obvious as its music display. I'll rank the player 4 stars for now and expect to upgrade it as I master it a bit more.
Just such a bad interface for video. Problems connecting to my server. JRiver needs to emulate theater view for Android tv devices.
I have just wasted £10. As someone who rates the Windows jriver player very highly for excellent hi fidelity reproduction I quickly realised the android player lacked all the sophistication of the Windows variety and was nothing more than a very simple player which as far as I could see does very little more than any number of free players, and less than some.
According to Android, this app used 318MB of my 1GB of cell data unexpectedly. So I uninstalled it. I've never had this happen with any other Android app. Other than this, the Cloudplay was useful, so I gave it two stars instead of one.
Pleasantly surprised. Seems to use less CPU than others I've used. Quickly found all music on my phone and displays them in a unique way which makes it easy to find content. It feels solid and I like the ability to use it as a server. Great work.
I originally purchased this app while in Beta in 2019. The app responded poorly and crashed often. As well, the audio on hirez files crackled. Now in March of 2021 the app does not appear to be any better than the Beta. Very disappointed as I have been a Jriver Music Center for the PC for years and love it. Not sure what the app cost now but when I bought it 2019 I paid $29.00. If the app is anything but free don't waste your money. Sorry Jriver
Doesn't connect to jriver server. That's the first thing we need. A reliable, supported app that simply connects to the server. Also this crashes on launch on Android ten.
Won't load, couldn't load library on SD card, cost way too high for an app that does not work. Disappointed as I use the JRiver on my computer.
What the hell is this app? Useless, horrible... I'm just speechless... Edit: After reading some input on the forums, I'm still hoping this will be going somewhere. For now you should advertise it as a free beta until you're ready for primetime, then wel'll all be glad to pay for what it's worth. What I want is to pley my library remotely, bitperfect with a USB dac.
Was expecting better than this. Have used JRiver on pc for years and it's top notch, but this app isn't getting it. Gizmo works much nicer on my LG phone. Honestly, I'd rather pay twice the money for the MO 4media app. It does what i expect and need.
Disappointed, not as advanced as the desktop version, lacks of option in configuration, even the audio quality is imperior to other players like Audio Beats Player. Not the J River i knew. Refunded and waiting for the real J River
Next to useless if you rely on imported playlists. End up with multiple copies of each, most of which are empty.
Man I'm such a fan of jriver but this app is the worst. Why is it so hard just to transfer a playlist and have it play in the order made and not separated into albums. Come on guys 😒
I get a blank screen when starting the app at times. It does the job when working right but needs polishing.
Useless and rather expensive app in its current state. Nothing like the desktop equivalent. Do not purchase.
I didn't buy this for how it is today, but what it may become. I know my $10 is going straight to pizza for the devs. I know how much better coding goes with a hot cheesy slice at your side! Code on devs! Code on.
Sometimes it works
Not the polished product i would expect. Hope to see folder browsing in the future. Would like to use it on my car android head unit
How in 2022 are you going to have an app that does not do wifi synching with the mother app on the PC?
love desktop version , but android app version will not play sound thru my usb audio card, hopefully they will come up with update
One of the worst interphase
I love their Desktop App..It is the best ...but this Android version is in alpha stage at best ... should be free until ready..
Sorry, I love the desktop version but could not see how to access nas files via DLNA. Not much use if not possible.
Download but didn't work. All I got was a blank white screen. Xiaomi Mi10T Pro
app is not working hit play button nothing happens must be in early stage of development won't recomend this app right now
It just doesn't work smoothly across devices. There's ALWAYS a problem with playback. I had high hopes but I've only been met with frustration. This software fights me each and every single step. I have been fighting with this software for almost a year now. I'm about done with it. It just doesn't work right. Update. The keep trying update this software, each time they do, something else happens. Can't FF now without the app crashing.
