JSON Tool - Editor & Viewer

Surely, on the data node, it would make sense to have tap-to-edit, instead of trying to hit the vertical ellipse overflow button with my big, stupid fingers! Come on, just add a click-listener and you'll get that last star and, I'll buy the full version! Needs expand and collapse all buttons as well, plus a "delete" confirmation dialog (I've hit delete by mistake a number of times - big fingers!), and undo/redo capability. So close, yet too far...

I wanted to read a JSON file but hadn't a clue where to start, so began by randomly downloading a series of apps to view such files. Hw none of them worked. Error after error, and when a file did open it was just a total mess and couldn't be read at all. That is until I came across this app which did the job remarkably well. So top marks to the developers for such a good app that's easy to use and does what you want it to do with simplicity. 5 stars, easily.

Don't like how it's split into objects, I would like the ability to view everything in one place like the Jason editors on a pc. Having everything put in sections and objects makes it inconvenient for me since I want everything inside & outside of [ ]'s and { }'s to be on the same "page" eg like on notepad, Google docs, word. Basically I open a json file and found it spilt into parts making it hard to copy the whole thing to drop it into a json validator, or edit parts that reference each other.

I used this app 2 years ago for Google takeout export file but couldn't understand the benefits of this then and now I used it again it yesterday for YouTube subscriptions takeout export file to know the subscriptions so that I can get them to new account but unfortunately it failed this time too. I can't understand json file but this app doesn't helps. Plus no option to import them to HTML or excel sheet or text for easy read. I hope Dev can clarify for old user like me. Not recommended.

UPDATE: I was contacted by team support which provided instructions to solve the issue. In my case I had to change the encoding on xml file to utf-8. Definitely changing my review and evaluation to 5 stars. ORIGINAL: I get a parse error about not opening a valid xml file, even when opening actually xml files. Probably it has issues with japanese and chinese characters in the file?

I downloaded multiple XML editors before this one, and I believe this app is perfect for editing. The code being visualized as subcategories is helpful when there is a lot of code to go through.

I liked this app immediately, (and purchased the premium), as it opened several xml and json files first time and converted to and from each format quickly. Add, edit and delete of nodes, attributes, values is great. Thank you for a clean, fast app.

Features on par with Json Genie. But I find their display and editing options more convenient. Both don't have options to do complex transforms, but can do simple ones.

Every now and again I find an app that is the solution to a specific yet one-off requirement. And said app is well-designed, highly functional, easy on the eyes and easy to use. JSON & XML Tool is such an app. Thanks dev!

I downloaded this app because I have many files that require a JSON tool to view. Weeks later, I am still trying to figure-out how this works. Everytime I try to open a json file with this app, I get a screen that says it is unable to open the file. I am not a happy camper!

Very easy to change individual json values Allowed me to edit mcpe file normally unable to, overall great app, easy to use, and understand.

I had to change my vote now because the app dose not view .json files. I mean the file picker when you want to select file that ends with .json are not visible there. I could view and select json files that end with .mp4 and can't do that with files that end with .json. this should be a bug.

Works great. Does what I need. Open, view and edit JSON files. Superb layout. Easy to navigate.

Really nice piece of software. Would be nice if you could add file extensions to a sort of whitelist when opening.

Having tried a half-dozen apps that claimed to handle XML but didn't, how nice to find one that doesn't do much but does it very neatly.

be careful editing and overwriting pre-existing files with this app, because a file with the contents `["=",">","<"]` becomes `["\u003d","\u003e","\u003c"]`

Much better than any other json apps. If possible, the developer should find a way to load large files too.

best you can have in play store but some .json file can't open but still good this app is better to use in plugins for theotown good job creator😊
