Developers are speedy in response to feedback and earlier bug issues were resolved. The new layout is funky but actually more difficult to navigate than previous. Would have given a 5 star if not for the pushed ads. But hey, I understand, developer still needs to monetize this. Will keep it on and looking forward to more missions.
Great game! Although it may be that I just love the theme as I'm a big fan of the comics :) The offline and, more importantly, timerless play is awesome! Edit: The remove ads banner has actually made me watch less ads. You could change it to a 'support us citizen' banner (with some wallpapers thrown in) and go back to voluntary ads only. Please don't make us pay to remove pain that you've just retrofitted to your model, as it was so exemplary before.
If you are a fan of tedious grinding this game is for you. Rock paper scissors you way though endless repetitive cannon fodder for credits to buy stuff that should be given away for free or at least "won". But no, its just endless grinning to move forward to more endless grinding. Tedious beyond belief. I think there's a story in there somewhere. For a franchise with a long history, a world of thrilling depth and complexity is utterly squandered at it attempts to part you from your cash. Dull.
Was really enjoying this game, but when I lose all my health an press "watch an ad" to get health back the game doesn't load an ad and freezes me in limbo, unable to continue or heal without leaving the fight and starting again. Would try uninstalling and reinstalling, but I'm not sure if I would lose my progress?
Too much of a grind. The rewards are not good, upgrades are too much and enemies are way overpowered. Only getting 10 health and armour after leveling up is not nearly enough. Don't waste your time. There are better and more balanced games. I will probably uninstall.
Quick & simple, but most entertaining. It can seem daunting at times, but leveling up & upgrading without spending money is simply a matter of patience. Great of your an old school JD fan from way back at the beginning of 2000A.D. A definite in my games folder. Great work by the development team, 😎👍👍
05.04.20 After the latest update the game is no longer fully playable offline. Very disappointed by this. I no longer recommend the game. OLD OUTDATED REVIEW: A fun card game set in the Judge Dredd universe with fast and satisfying combat. The first person viewpoint makes it a bit different from most other card games. Microtransactions are not intrusive at all and there are no energy meters or timers limiting how much you can play. Thankfully it can be played offline! Highly recommended!
Gets old quick, and becomes really grindy. When thing start costing 8000 credits to upgrade, the rate that credits accrue doesn't match. I'm playing for the story, insomuch as there is a story. It stopped being fun when I was just grinding all the time
Long term subscriber to the comic, wanted to love this. Not a bad game, but these kinds of deck builders are ten a penny, and there's more than a little irony that the comic itself is so endlessly innovative and yet this game is so crushingly generic. Another wasted opportunity for one of the strongest IP's in comics, I really hope Rebellion gets one of these right, one day. Give it a go, it might be for you, but for me there's nothing here to make me want to invest time, or money. Uninstalling.
Nicely balanced card game, easy to dip in and out of. Lots of potential to really explore the world of Dredd. Only thing - it would be helpful to have the perps combined health and armour as a total (between health and armour), save me doing the mental arithmetic every time! Really great game.
I take it back. No Yetis reached out to me and explained how the special cards worked more clearly (I assumed they all required the same amount of turns to pass before I could play them). Turns out I just wait another turn or so and my good card is available. Now I love it again! 👍
Been playing this game for the last 2 weeks and really enjoying the gameplay. Ads are manageable and not required unless you wish to double your rewards or continue after losing a round. Keep up the good work
Fun little time waster, I used to read the comics, so that helps. Dunno if there's a paywall waiting a bit further down the line, but so far, so good! The graphics are a bit basic, but I think that keeps in line with the comic book style.
Unless your are willing to spend money don't bother, in order to progress you need clues, which you get by interrogation of criminals, which you need the correct 'card's' to do so, which you have a limited number of, that drop randomly from the daily packs, luckily of course you could spend in game currency to buy more packs (500) but that is gathered slowly in the 10's of dollars each round, or spend real money on the packs, sadly the game looks great and plays well, just ruined by greed.
Good game. A few things can be added to make it better. Maybe a number to tell how much the enemies are gonna hit you for. Make it a bit easier to get the gold bars. Other than this its a all around fun little game.
Downloaded and played it on one phone. Spent money on in app purchases. Progressed a fair way. Changed phones, restored from app backup, linked my google play account. Back to level one, all progress lost. Money spent, lost.
Games broken. The special meter disappeared after the 2nd training mission. Never appeared again even during the special meter training....then the game just broke. Only showed dredd and the bike.....restarted the app then no missions. Says finish training but I did. Game doesnt work so dont bother.
It's quite basic at first but you can see how tactical this will be later on. Particularly liking the Dress voice acting and dialogue Saw someone moaning you cant progress without in-game purchases because you need clue cards. This is not true, you interrogate perps to get clue cards. That means a balance between killing and subduing. Sounds like that person doesnt understand how the game mechanics work.
Good game. But after tutorial I can't access the store. It says no Internet connection when I do have one. I know its a bug as I have reinstalled the game and it still happens
Very decent game, art and music is great, the gameplay while not super innovative is still fun and microtransactions don't feel too invasive. One thing I'm knocking a star off for though is that the amount of cards you can have in one deck is kinda low. I don't think it adds to the tactics or anything, I just find there's some cards I'd like to use but can't because they're under levels slightly and just don't quite beat out more generic but stronger ones.
