Good app. 3 stars due to a few things I feel need changing. the English names are not all correct Shoulder throw (Seio nage) is labeled as back throw. Seio = shoulder. Ushiro=back. not spotted others yet but will feedback when I do. Also the quiz could do with more similar answers having only one gatame/goshi/nage answer when asking to identify a holddown/hip/throw makes it too easy to know which is the right answer. Maybe add a harder difficulty.

Good reminders for higher grades. Video stills are good if you know what you're talking about but the stilted frames make it difficult to tell the finer details of techniques apart.... For example Gake vs gari..... On the whole it is working for me currently training for an technical shodan grading in 2020. Thanks very much creators...

Techniques organized by belt, stable app, very convenient. However, different countries have different belt systems (I'm working on 9th kyu in Germany) and it would be nice to have customizability, especially on the quizzes given before sessions.

Excellent app, very useful for rebising Judo Techniques and for learning both the English and Japenese names of moves. When will there be more Kata's? Keep up the good work!

There are mistakes about the name of the techniques. The yoko otoshi at the very end is actually a kata guruma. Tomoe nage and yoko tomoe nage are wrong.

I've used this app for about 6 years now, and it's been a most helpful guide in my journey as a judoka.

The video quality could be improved but generally a useful tool for grading or general revision.

VERY NICE JUDO REFERENCE APP FOR ME

Absolutely brilliant! I love that it sorts the techniques by belt according to the most recent syllabus. And that you can search for a technique on YouTube at the tap of a button. My only complaints are that the fps is low on the gifs and escapes from pins, but honestly a superb app. Very comprehensive.

This app is great as a reference for all judokas. The quiz really helped me to memorize the japanese and english names for all moves that I will need to know for my grading next week. It also helps as a reference for practicing my moves at home and the youtube button is great if you want to watch more videos of a particular move. Invaluable for all judo students!

Excellent app which is up to date and details banned moves, other apps outdated and still contain banned throws. Very easy to use and great lay out thank you :-)

This is a great reference guide to many Judo techniques, it mostly focused on tachi waza but it is still nice to take quick glances to remember the basic foundations.

Very good reference and learning app, I like how you don't need WiFi to use it.

Excellent and very useful for gradings and learning judo.

Stu. A. Jul 8, 2016

A brilliant app for working through your gradings and learning terminology. A really good study aid but you will find your own coach will be teaching variations of techniques dependent on their experience so not a substitute for listening to your coach.

Thank you for putting in the banned throws. But why is koshi garuma banned? No hands going below the belt. You may want to also include kubi nage at some point. Overall great app.

Having taken a break for a while I needed to refresh myself with the 'correct' way of doing techniques rather than competition style. Found this application to be invaluable. Absolutely brilliant. 5 stars.
