One of the worst apps to order food and customer service doesn't know anything about helping customers. Not recommended at all and don't use credit cards in here. I'm having trouble with my latest payment it was successful and they canceled my order without refunding me!! had me contacting my bank to make sure the payment was successful, no clear emails for complains. Had to complain to customer protection to get my issue looked into. I've been a loyal customer to jumia for years, shame.
Worst ordering service ever. I had to double check the app to see if it was truely a jumia app.... Worst vendors, delivery agents, food and it takes a goddamn lot of precious time before the food is delivered... Please choose glovo instead. ... I rest my case
My order has taken too long to be delivered since the shipment and the worst thing is that I can't cancel the order anymore.I almost forgot that I had order somethings from Jumia. Another thing is that I had placed three orders at the same time and I have so far just received one, why can't they all arrive at the same time since I did order the same day and time...poor
Three stars coz since I started ordering from Jumia food I hadn't encountered any problem. The riders are pleasant and polite. Good service. Unfortunately for 2 months I couldn't open the app so I had to uninstall and reinstall. They said "welcome back Carole" but still asked me to sign up by entering again my details which was very weird. Wanted to delete the app coz my orders kept failing after that until I got a call from your office and everything works for now but still not comfortable
I'm from Nigeria If the items are not available don't put them on the app, I've used your app a bunch of times but the rider never seems to get my address and I always have to spend time trying to explain to the person delivering my order and they are mostly always rude. Using the app is even more stressful than just going to the actual store to buy what you want what's the point in ordering delivery to your house when I still have to go out looking for the person delivering my order
Not all orders get completed, it gets cancelled without any information, the app isn't updated with what the restaurant actually have in store. Very poor customer service. Proceed with caution. Refunds are hard except you initiate from your bank. Country Nigeria
The app is really poor. Despite updating my contact and then ordering, their riders keep using older no. secondly, after complaining of incomplete order delivery, the agents are never able to resolve the issues. i just think they need a better technology interface
This app is the worst. You order food that is supposed to arrive in 30 minutes and 20 minutes after you order they cancel it for the most stupid reasons that are obviously a lie. If your vendors cannot deliver take them off the app. The customer care representatives even lie about the food making it even worse. I wish I could give it 0 stars. 🙄
The user experience is quite awful. it's difficult to get restaurants and also navigate around dish options. Payment option initially redirected me to JumiaPay which debited me 3,999 which didn't reflect on the Jumia Food app. Also, address details are cumbersome to fill and very stressful. The picture take too long to load. You also need to go back to the restaurant to place orders ( you can't order directly )
I have to restart my phone everytime I want to use this app. it gets stuck trying to open. Even clearing the cache doesn't help. I still need to restart my phone, for every order! How annoying! To make things worst, I'm waiting for a REFUND, that hadn't come for 4 days now! Apologies do not help, I just want my money back...
I just downloaded the apps and I can see why the rating is so low. I placed an order for a meal, I have paid with the bank transfer method, its been over 15 minutes now and the transaction hasn't been confirmed. Also contact your UI/UX designer to include a complaint/customer difficulty button on the payment page.
Doesn't let you select from restaurants that don't deliver to your area. In East La, Accra, most restaurants don't deliver to you but you only find out once you try to place the order. Or sometimes they will let you place the order but then call you that the seller refused. you only get a refund in app credit not back to your original payment method.
my experience with a vendor on this app is very disapointing. I ordered a meal by 3:15pm and up till 6:45pm it didn't arrive. chatted them up, after several back n forth they decided to let me know that my order has been cancelled because of some logistic issues. one can only order food because of one reason and that is being hungry. all the unnecessary delay is not cool..truly I didn't have a nice experience at all!
This app is just terrible. Thier service is slow and painful. It takes forever to deliver a meal sometimes its canceled after the meal has been confirmed and a long wait. Why waste your customers time like that. If not for the monopoly the have in the market they will definitely be losing users every day but that's the only thing keeping them here. Just waiting for a better or even Similar app to offer the same service so I can just leave this nonsense Jumia Foods app. 🤮
app was able to tell me that my order will take 28min, 35mins later i reach out to ask about my order and then I was told the vendor didn't have one of the items wanted and so cancelled. But the app couldn't alert me there was a problem. imagine going through all of these in the evening of a very eventful day where I didn't get a chance to even eat a meal
I experienced many times a bad quality service with this app. The restaurants that cancel my orders last minute, the chat agent who doesn't even care about my issue, mocking me and just wanting to get rid of me instead of solving genuinely my problem... payments that get refunded not before 7 to 30 days, ... I ve got out my guts because of your average service many times. Your app should be reviewed. Thats an advice from someone that tried many other apps and sees the difference. Never again!
there's something fishy going on with your discounts on food from vendors... it displays the percentage and shows you how much you're paying on the vendor page but at checkout it turns into full price... and there's no order cancellation option in this app which is very unacceptable👎🏾
It has worked seamlessly a few times, but the app has been having more and more glitches recently. They recently debited Mr for food, then cancelled the order and didnt refund my money. No explanation, no apology, nothing. I sent a message to their chat box, they said I would get a reversal. Till now, no reversal had been made.
if a vendor doesn't have an item. it has no business being up there. and if for any reason it just got exhausted, there should be an option to change order rather than decline the entire order and now wait for 3- 7 days to get my refund when goat meat would have just replaced the chicken wings. it's not that serious.
I accidentally put the wring address for drop off and had paid for the food and delivery, I didn't realize this until the courier called and said they were at the gate, it was too far to be rerouted however the courier was very understanding and completely courteous, I didn't expect for my money to be refunded but the next day without a prompt they returned my money on mpesa I didn't have to call and request anything and the online shopping😍... 10/10...I love the app, keep it up guys🤩🤩🤩
The experience has been good so far except that their online payment method is trash. It's not working and it's disturbing. Also, on my very first order on Sunday May 8, the rider attempted selling already eaten food to me. That's quite strange.
Worst application ever Yes nice offers but they don't work on customer satisfaction at all, if an order is missing an item, they don't deliver it, they repay you your money for the missing items in more time than they promised, they cancel the order when you don't pick up the phone although they have your full address, and delivered so many times before, they don't pay any attention to the special requests in the comments. Really the worst customer service ever!!!!!!!
