Jumpstart for AndroidLost
There is no graphical user interface for this app. So first install this app, then androidlost, wait a few minutes and finally log in to www.androidlost.com. If all goes well you should get a "Congratulations..." message.
Please note that there is no guarantee that the registration will take place. If the thief has blocked your account (if your phone is locked and he has tried three times) or has done a factory reset you will not be able to install any app.
After a successful registration you should uninstall this app. Otherwise this app will test if the app is registered correctly all the time.
Requires androidlost version 2.15 or higher on phone.
Please note that google has changed the android API so this app only works on android version < 3.

Screwed up my installation of AndroidLost. I uninstalled AndroidLost and it does not uninstall from Google Play. Now I cannot re-install as it thinks it is still installed. BS
I've noticed the thief fighting me in the install/uninstall processes concerning apps. I come to check the progress of the registration, and the app is uninstalled. It's very frustrating, they need to make this thing register automatically and lock out the thief somehow.
Ok so this does work on tablets.... but not very well, if at all. You need to constantly hit the setting re-register with Google and then the push commands only seem to work whilst in the app screen. As soon as the device self locks on timeout or you navigate away from the app the commands no longer work. When it did work however the functionality was great! Front and Rear cameras worked, messages, popups, alarms. but alas. Fix the registration problems on tablets and you'll be onto a winner, I may even buy premium, sadly not at the current time.
By the by It seems It does not work for me. Hey, How about having Contact as: "Androidlost Register" (for registration) if "AndroidLost Jumpstart" does not work. This contact can be added in the Gmail's Contacts, So that the Android lost can pick up this and start registration? If Developer is able to implement this then its a superb feature. Thanks, Eshwar.
I nearly lost my device because the jumpstart woldn't work. Were it not for luck, I would still be stolen. However, the app this jumpstarts works exceptionally great.
Ok but after a uninstall i cannot get "android lost " going again :( I miss android lost it was funny handing the tablet to the wife and tormenting her
My phone lost .because someone steal it. And i got it back with this app.
It works even better if you anticipate and install it before it being stolen.!
It works like a charm for me and it does what it sais on the tin. I've bought the licence too you unlock all capabilities. If you turn it into a system app, you don't lose even after flashing a new rom
Didn't think this was even possible, but this jumpstart set up androidlost remotely for me.
Was not user friendly and takes me back to same process. Circles. Frustrating.
I would Like to see some support addded for other android device like invidia sheild. Like how do i send it an SMS?

Do i have to turn my phone on for jumpstart to work? because i lost it and ive installed both apps multiple times trying to get the congrats message to pop up but it wont.
nice features, but if the phone is actually lost and does not receive sms, it is USELESS because you cannot "register". what is this "register" nonsense? why not just keep the phone registered at all times?
ok after u install this how do u get it to register it seems that i still need the phone to complete the process

Could you please create another "Jumpstart" kind of app? Or maybe an update that registered AndroidLost by itself.. My phone had been stolen and its simcard had been removed. And jumpstart dosent seem to be working for me.. Thanks. Anyway, ill give it a 4 because before this it helped me tharc another phone which was lost!
