Just a Compass (Free & No Ads)

Excellent interface & functionality. Would be great if the app allowed the concurrent display of both magnetic & geographic north, rather than reducing the choice to a switchbox buried in settings. Other than that, a solid chunk of code.

Tried several compass apps. Each one has worked ok, yet this one got my exact address, which to me, means it's much more accurate. It has altitude, sunrise and sunset times.....INCREDIBLE PLUS. It's like having 4 apps in one. Thanks. 😊

The compass is accurate and provide many important information of geographic means in a very easy to read arrangement. Overall ,a very good design and useful tool . I really like it.

Superb. Excellent compass, big detailed, accurate. Good altitude measure to. I like the way the Compass Face immediately loads when You open the App, just like getting a real compass out your pocket. Practically very useful in the outdoors.

A little early to comment, but has all the features I'll ever need, plus more. Once calibrated it correctly indicates direction, sun rise and set, altitude etc.

Simply does the job. It works if you don't want to give it extra permissions. Ads are non intrusive. Fast and easy interface

I like the large compass but strangely it required figure 8 movement to recalibrate whereas Google Maps app did not. North and south were inverted. Uninstalling and will just use the North indicator in Maps.

Have tried numerous compasses over time. This one works and is accurate "straight out of the box" No calibration needed, no moving the phone in a figure of 8..... it simply works.

Delighted by the ease of use and the clutter free display. I find myself using it more and more.

It is accurate and quick. Also gives the Elevation so u can actually see how much you gain or loose hiking or driving. Fun to use.

I am both amazed and impressed, I am so happy with this compass and how accurate it appears to be. Holding the phone at a level position is definitely a plus for accuracy.

It does ecactly what it says. It's a compass/navigation app that isn't bloated with features. It doesn't have any ads so it almost fells like it could come with your phone. It also has really cool features such as finding geographic poles and altitude if GPS services are available. It's best if you want to use your phone's compass or you can't find an app that can tell you your altitude.

I like to drag my amateur radio equipment to strange places and then it is sometimes necessary to decide the direction of the antenna. Being an old timer means I can guess it most of the time, but occasionally a mountain or clouds can confuse me. I don't need a complicated app, just something that works. This one seems to be a keeper.

This is a great app for experienced, inexperienced, and intermediate hikers. I really feel its accurate, steady, and consistent in performance, accuracy, and helpfulness. I'd like to see a version created for 'offline' use. This will make it easier for those areas where network connectivity, and data is scarce or no possible altogether.

Works like a basic compass and does not have adds and banners and its free. If you want a basic, easy to see and comprehend compass, this is great. In my case, we made a long distance move and I simply needed to get our bearings of where we were, AND explain it to a young child at the same time. It's able to be upgraded for a few dollars here and there but but the basic version is just that. Never Eat Sour Wheat! Would likely be great for anyone that's technologically challenged. Free! 👍😁

Very good, accurate as it can be by GPS, gives the declination of your position if you wanted to set up a real compass. I would recommend this app, especially since it has no ads. That's a big selling point. Also the altimeter is quite accurate as well. Thanks to the dev for building something good with no advertisements. I read the reviews below and I dont have those issues. I also don't use the add on apps for altitude or sunrise/sunset. I don't allow this app to access anything on my phone.

Quite basically doesn't work, only moves a little. The fact that it's moving a bit tells me that it's working. It'll show you a position, north for instance, then in complete opposite direction, stays almost exactly at same position. I have data and wifi, at home or elsewhere, doesn't work. I do like the look, and no ads, but that's it.

Just as it says ⁠— ⁠free, and no ads. Has a handful of settings, just the essential ones which are really all that are needed for a basic compass app. Has a "tell us how to improve" feature, which is a nice touch. Cultivates trust. I'd give it 5★ instead of 4 if they had included a few different looks, maybe some different color themes ( ⁠guess that's what I'll ask them to improve 😁 ⁠).

I have zero sense of direction and have been using a transit app to navigate the city I'm in to catch busses etc. Only problem is when I was instructed to catch the bus in a particular direction I was sometimes uncertain of where to go. This compass app is simple and intuitive and has helped me to instantly know which direction I am facing and moving in so I can better navigate. Thanks!!
