The app itself is OK, and generally works fine, although I suspect the order updates (like being out for delivery) are mostly time-based rather than a true reflection of reality - either that or the restaurant isn't great at updating it correctly. I have to use the app because it's the only option for the one place we get a takeaway from, but would much rather order directly from the restaurant. A low-added-value, fee-charging solution to a problem that, for me, didn't exist in the first place.
The app has gotten worst. It's very poor now. I have two payment options and even though I filled out the second payment option it charged me from my main account. I didn't make a mistake it asked for the cvc you can't get that wrong because every one is different. I'm not happy it took a payment from the account I didn't choose it to charge from!
I love the app but there's no way I can change my personal details on the app itself. It would be easier and avoid a lot of mistakes if you could delete old information and enter new details. Eg email address and phone numbers. Hence the change of rating. 😒
The app itself is easy to use. But what makes the app bad is the riders or the delivery drivers. Some are great I have had a few great experiences. But it's the ones who can't be bothered to use Google maps and just throw your delivery on any random doorstep that isn't yours. You ring the restaurant ask where the delivery is they can't help you have to contact just eat which is more hassle. So you take a visit to the restaurant or takeaway just to enquire but very hostile reception.
Service is a disgrace!! No help is offered for issues with orders. I placed an order and received completely the wrong items. I was offered a refund for the items, but no option to get refund on the delivery fee, service charge and Just Eats own commission. I basically paid all that for no reason. Complete robbery.
Just eat has become absolutely terrible, we had a driver assigned that then just didn't go to pick up the order. An hour later still no food, and just eat has absolutely no way to contact them either. What's worse the advice under the order is late is to leave a review for the restaurant which is terrible it's not their fault the delivery partner is terrible!
Can only make payment through Google Pay. Always failes through direct card payment on all my cards and even always failes trying to use the PayPal option. This has bben an issue for a long time now I am now on the latest version yet again but it is still broken. Have reported to support via email multiple times but get no answer and still not fixed.
Pointless if it wont accept payment. Lost out on many orders due to the apps inability to take payment. It used to happen occasionally but the app has not taken any of my payments for the last few months. It is absolutely terrible
Ordered a meal from a takeaway restaurant on New Years Eve, still waiting for it in March. Two times I contacted Just Eat customer services and on both occasions they swore that a refund is on it's way, which it definitely wasn't and isn't. Very disappointing as I use Just Eat a lot, the only way to avoid this is to pay in cash upon delivery but if you ain't got any cash and pay online, then it may be a bit of a risk if the food doesn't arrive. Other than that it's a good app, easy to use etc.
Been using PayPal for a long time to order food as is more accessible for me. On first ocassion been charged £ 22 pounds for an order I've placed using PayPal to pay, the money were taken out but the restaurant didn't even received the order.Never saw the money back. Now again this happened ..Been charged £ 40.70 for the order but the restaurant didn't receive it , but my money were taken out. Had to use normal debit card to pay , AGAIN ! The beauty of it ? No just eat nr to call !! Google it..
I don't think there is a worst app to order off !! I ordered a simple wrap meal from McDonald's and when my order showed it was a completely different order and it was meant to be picked up deliveroo instead of just eat, when I contacted support with picture proof it was not my order that was delivered, they told me they couldn't refund me or help as the order was for a different company and that they will not refund me for the missing items, completely trash and will never use again !!!!!
great app to discover international food. shame they donkot add pictures, they should make it mandatory. as i am sure customers will be more incentivated in buying more and also they will be more open to try new food if they see what it looks like. smooth payment process.
I've had many problems with orders on this app such as sometimes when you cancel an order, it's not fully cancelled as I've had food joints still delivering the food to me. Also the price added on top of the meals in some of the restaurants aswell as the service charge is ridiculous and not worth it. Better off just getting it yourself. The collection aspect is completely futile as you are paying more to order on the app rather than just calling the restaurant directly or ordering in person.
Since April 1st I've not been able to order from this app or the Web page. I've tried to delete my account and make up a new one but still no help! Everytime I tried to order it keeps saying their is a problem with payment. I've used both mines and my partners accounts but still the same and it's 2 different banks I would c sense if it was same bank but its not. We've checked with banks and its not their end and more than enough in banks to cover the order. And most places are card!Sort it out!
Was a 5 star but can't seem to get refunded on missing items anymore, used to be great customer service but gone downhill. Just getting same generic emails back saying they are looking into it. For the sake of a missing burger and drink I use different food apps.
Hard to navigate, extremely vague method for order issues. No way of contacting drivers. Poor map for drivers. Only good thing about just eat is the restaurant selection
The company and the app are useless! Outlets the app touts to you reject your order and will not deliver. Outlets that do accept orders take forever and clearly prioritise direct business over Just Eat customers. There is no way to contact Just Eat. The service is abysmal and pointless. Deliveroo and Uber Eats are a million times better. Bin this app if you actually want to eat!!
By far best food around, often travel 40mile round trip for the Calzones alone. Customer service is exceptional and the quality of the food is 2nd to none. Bello pizza is so clean you could eat off the floor. Great portions and great prices. If I lived closer I would probably be obese haha. Keep up the great work guys.
Tried adding my card and every time It forced me to open my online banking to authorise the transaction, which is fair enough... But I would lose the page on Just Eat and have to repeat the process all over again and add card details etc 😂 bit stupid. Still a good app.
Too many times have my orders not been delivered by corrupt drivers, so in order to combat this, I suggest a 'signed by customer on arrival' feature where customers sign their signature on the drivers phone once receiving the food. This signature is then compared to the signature made by the customer when they join the app. Without a system like this, it's far too easy for drivers to lie about orders for their own benefit.
Terrible app, terrible customer service. Last 2 orders made, just eat did not have the delivery drivers avaliable to be able to deliver the order. I waited over 3 hours before the delivery was cancelled. Contacting customer service is also very difficult! I will be using uber eats or deliveroo for future orders.
Shop is clean. They use good cuts of meat; chicken, lamb steak, lamb chops which are flavoursome. Chicken wings taste of the griddle and are cooked 'just so umm'. Portions (steaks, chips, mixed salad, veg) are generous. Due to the above they are very busy so if you order at a busy time and choose delivery rather than collection delivery may be late.
Upgraded the app now it doesn't work at all. Wont connect to the server, won't recognise GPS. Guess They don't bother checking apps before they push upgrades on you. Have uninstalled. Switching to a more reliable alternative.
I've been using just eat for a while and it was brilliant but it appears lately that restaurants cancel your order for no reason, drivers forget some of the items on your order or give you entirely the wrong order and I tend to receive a notification saying enjoy your food when it hasn't even arrived. Also when complaining to the restaurant the staff/managers are extremely rude.
great service. only problem is most take away on here are more expensive than orderimg direct. one order was £37 but when ordered fromthe take away direct it came to £28 for the same order. lots of people are realising this now and ordering direct off of the other sites direct and saving alot of money. this never used to be the case but for some reason you all keep raising the prices. same order last week was £5.40 cheaper ordered from deliveroo and £3 cheaper if ordered from hungry house.
This app is useless! I used to use it a lot but now I'm using another food delivery app as every time I've placed an order and tried paying at the checkout, it always says that the payment is declined. I've used about 3 different cards and it always says the same thing, funnily enough, the cards always work on the other food delivery app after I've got fed up with trying just eat!!!!! Pathetic really, you need to get this sorted immediately, other it'll be UNINSTALLED! I'm very unimpressed!!!!!
Great choice, customer service can be quite slow to get to but once you got them, they fix your issue in seconds and with profesionalism. Overall excellent! Sadly, they recently removed the PayPal function, no idea why. Edit: Issue fixed in a new version, all good~
